Whats there to "get"? We're talking about cgi. Its completely visual, theres no meaning or subtext you are just looking at pretty computer generated colours.

Just go in December to proper cinema like IMAX 3D or Dolby and see yourself anon.

Arguing on jpgs or 2D webms will not change the fact that 2-minute underwater 3D scene from Avatar 2 blow away any visuals in any blockbuster in last 15 years and I can say it because I saw these underwater scenes at end credits of re-release of first Avatar in IMAX 3D

No. Shills tried this with the first Avatar saying that the IMAX experience was way better than what we were seeing in jpgs and I fell for it. It wasn't nearly that impressive in person and Avatar 2 will be the same shit.

Extremely high-def cartoons aren't interesting anymore, and the first movie was just an extremely high-def cartoon stapled to a shitty rip-off of a story that had been done to death as of 10 years prior. It was so tone-deaf and sci-fi illiterate that the magical substances was referred to in the script as 'unobtanium.'
Nobody is going to give a shit about the new movie's high-def cartoonery. The only question is whether or not the script is Ferngully II: Dances With Cats, where our heroes have to recover The MacGuffin without getting shot by the pistol that the villain, Chekov, put in a drawer in the first act.
The smart money is saying it's trash. It gives every indication of a production that didn't feel like it needed to learn any lessons from the first one because they made a bunch of money.

Unobtanium is a real term used in engineering to refer to a hypothetical.

You are very very close to understanding why the characters actually calling it “unobtanium” is extremely stupid.
