Probably The Thing still, but it doesn't really fit the Halloween mood

Talk about a stone cold classic. It might just be the perfect film to bust out for a Christmas in July that also has a Halloween themed crossover.

in all seriousness, the exorcist Linda Blair for me, first time I saw it was like 13, scared the shit outta me, wouldn't watch any horror until I got a job at the local video store, watched all horror for free for about 6 months, then started down the path of the "adult" section, splicing up the tapes that homosexuals fricked up rewinding all the time and getting hooked to that for the next few years, but it did give the confidence into getting it on with a real woman was worth it// 10 out 10 would do it again.

      Immediate digits.

Remember when Ryan Reynolds did a shit remake of that? He basically made a career off of having a six pack and showing up and just being a shitter who did the same shit all the time and did smarmy hey look at me I'm Van Wilder, hey look at me I'm Deadpool, heh heh bullshit for decades. And then he got brought into the circle of elites and money laundering because his aw shucks, hey look at me bullshit at embedded itself somewhere in the American psyche and now we have to hear some bullshit and pretend that he's some kind of proactive business mogul because he got hired to be the spokesperson spokesface for a low cost mobile wireless company that's used to collect information and conduct surveillance on drug dealers and some liquor brand that's used to keep people stupid and complacent and some soccer team that is being used as a testing ground to see if Americans will accept an offshoot version of weaponized hooligan culture seen in Europe but with left wing pretenses operating as a new test arm for the neoliberal order. Talk about horror.

I didn't mind the remake, I thought it was decent, but also the first omen movie that just came out was really classy, I loved the throwback at the end with Gregory Peck's picture in the file, gave me a good chubby on that one

Yeah, I can't judge it on the merits maybe, it just seemed really unnecessary. I also just hate Ryan Reynolds.

The remake wasn't that bad, compare it to the remake slop we get today and it's basically Citizen Kane. Guy's got a doofus face, that was my main issue with the movie.

It all came to a peak with the release of Freddy vs. Jason, representing the pinnacle of the American Empire. The culture didn't collapse overnight, but it was all downhill after that magical opening weekend.
