1990 - The Year We Mathematically Proved that Racism is Stupid

In 1990, a group of people composed of Africans, Asians, and Europeans came together, said, “Hey, you know what the 90s could use more of? The 60s,” then proceeded to create the hiphop/funk/rock/fusion masterpiece known as “Groove is in the Heart.”

I defy you to listen to that and not feel it making your day better. As a matter of fact, if you ever hear anyone say they don’t care for it, I would strongly advise you to kill that person immediately, not just because they’re clearly a disguised alien(and they’re never up to any good), but also because of their profound absence of soul. With a video showcasing cutting edge greenscreen effects superior to many modern Disney movies, it instantly skyrocketed to the top of music charts the world over. There were dudes shaking their asses to it on battleships, ferchrissake. It brought mankind closer to unity than any force had since the moon landing, uniting us all with the Groove, and if we ever launch another record into space, this should be the only thing on it. On infinite loop.

In 1990, we came together as one people, proving once as for all that the whole truly is greater than the sum of our parts. And that groove is in the heart.

End of post.

This song feels more like late 1990’s to me for some reason, maybe because it reminds me of Austin Powers.
    Great decade though.

That’s probably because it literally dominated the airwaves for almost the entire decade, and for good reason. It’s a goddam masterpiece.

Agreed, 80’s and 90’s were the peak of pop music.

Good music simply doesn't age. That's why rockers and metalheads are still jamming out to shit made in the 80s, and why 80s pop will never ever go away. All we can do is envy those who got to be there when all of that stuff was new. A lot of 90s music has become that way, too.

No it was solved in 1986 when Aerosmith and Run DMC performed "Walk this way" together.
Then it was solved AGAIN when Anthrax and Public Enemy toured in 1991.
Then it was solved AGAIN when Rage Against the Machine toured with Wu Tang Clan in 1997.
And that's why everyone is so racist today, because black and white bands don't tour together any more.

That is complete bullshit, I don't know where you live but where I live these movements are almost completely compiled by minorities. You're statement is a dumb neocon cope for people who are too afraid to be critical of minorities.

90's multi-lateralism was less abrasive than 2010's globohomo, even though it was inevitably going to turn into it as the left grew greedier as they consolidated power (Democrats going from anti gay marriage to openly advocating for it, for instance). If you can't recognize the obvious cultural shift and why that suddenly led to people being more overtly racial and politicized in general then you're either a zoomer or lack basic observational skills.
