>2023: HEY stop digitally recreating background extras, THIS IS EXPLOITATIVE, how did we come to this????

Actors shouldn't have rights and they shouldn't be paid for using their likeness if they weren't involved in production.

you can apply the same shit to MCU as well
critics suddenly saying mcu was bad
the same people that gave praise to such trash as thor the dark world, or ant-man movies. not even gonna mention captain marvel.

it only worked for paul walker because the family worked in the project and it was a final goodbye
leia and tarkin never gave consent and it wasn't a goodbye it was "we're gonna keep banking on dead people"

Christopher let the license out much less. The family had final word during production of the Amazon series because he made that a part of the contract. Amazon simply waited for him to die to start production, and no one else in the family cares besides the free money.

Comparing stories and characters to living actor's faces is moronic. You are moronic.

Tolkiens family are scumbags who feel nothing but hatred for his work because he's the only one of them that did anything worth noting.

I don't understand your mental illness. Why are you trying to communicate in self-contradictory greentext without stating any objective point?

I'm sorry you're moronic but "years" don't have opinions. Why are you acting like "2016" and "2023" are anthropomorphized beings with singular stock opinions, and then getting upset about the supposed conflict you dreamed up in your imagination?

Also I notice you using ’ characters like a phoneposter.

Why don't they just tell new stories instead of regurgitating the same shit so much the original actors have fricking died and you have to create a computer model of them

      >new stories
Because modern "auteurs" can no longer tell anything that is not dystopian gray morale shit, and there's plenty of it in real life already so no demand

      >Why don't they just tell new stories

My theory is that in the past when movies were still pretty new no one knew what sells so studios gave movie makers the freedom to make unique shit. Now thanks to the internet, social media and smartphones they have endless data to know EXACTLY what sells and they want to take no risks. Especially with how bloated movie budgets got.

It's more than a large swath of millenials are manchildren who can't move on from their chilhood (which probably was the happiest they've ever been).

Having most of your media consumption revolves around superheroes and jedi pas 30 isn't healthy.
