It was fine. An enjoable watch but the story is rushed and the time skip is jarring. They jump long periods of time before even developing characters. The leader who dies has like 3 lines before we're supposed to care that he gets domed. It's a 6.5 maybe 7 but certainly not as good as all the tards keep acting like it is.

I picked it up at launch and had no technical issues but rather it was just a disappointing Borderlands formula reskin with the glimmers of cut content leaving a bad taste in your mouth as you feel the quality difference whiplash from the levels they used as con demos and the rest of the game.

I've literally never seen an anime that wasn't absolutely garbage. From Akira to Death Note to whatever gay thing I get directed towards, when I'm made to watch one it is invariably shit. It feels like something you force yourselves to like when you're young and it seems unique and quirky, and now that it's becoming mainstream I fully expect anime culture to basically die off. Anime will be as unique and quirky as knowing that Tony Stark is Iron Man, and so its utility to you will be ended.
I thought it was great except for a couple things, like the weak first couple episodes and the man-bodied woman. Show got better with each episode. The plot was directly lifted from Faust which was pretty clever.
It's just Bonnie and Clyde tragedy porn with unoriginal story beats that have been done hundreds of times before
The tone is retarded. When David took that guy under his wing on a job who gets killed by a trap and the crew was just like "lmao oh well" when David was once a newbie shitter like him. The comedy mixed with gory violence didn't really fit.
It's showing that David has both ascended to take Maine's place after the timeskip, by taking on a guy who's in the same position he was, and that he's lived the Edgerunner lifestyle long enough to become numb to how many people drop dead around him. You could say it's a tonally inconsistent comedy beat, but as far as David goes there's no particular reason why he would care that much about some newbie getting himself killed when he's at the top of his game
