Not a fluke.
Look at the first season of Korra that's all Bryke.
Look at the Dragon Prince which is all Ehasz.
Look at their problems and their strengths. It's pretty easy to see what made Airbender work.
The whole gang put their strengths together and tempered their weaknesses. Without those checks and balances both shows are shit.
Writing is fine
It isn't Avatar level but I enjoy a well told story even if it's unoriginal. Certainly better than all that gay storytelling that every shoe ripped off from Adventure time
I know I remember reading it and thinking it was nonsense, he also struggled a little with leading the fire nation. He ends up with someone else but it would have been good to see him with Mai
Man, Zuko was a teenager and all but I'd figure after the show developed him he'd be mature enough to deal with the situation.
And not even the cucking part, gay writers have to pozz, but regardless of whether not that guy is plowing his used pussy, a commoner doesn't gave the right to talk to his Lord like that
honestly idgaf if they make certain characters gay. it's just the writing around it. the plot, the world building (or destruction) and inconsistencies makes it shit
How so, you think they're literal 1:1 when they aren't. They're air nomads, not real life buddhists

It's extremely fricking disingenuous because he clearly means they're based on buddhist, not that they're literal irl ones. They're based on Buddhists and everything we saw in TLA about the air nomads goes strictly against how they were portrayed later which is the entire point being made.
You're being disinenguous by arguing over semantics rather than facing the actual argument.
You're just being obtuse. Literally everything down to the addages Aang had learned and the philosophy that are spoken about for airbending is based on buddhist teachings. There's also some Hinduism in there, but fundamentally its classical buddhism
They just chose to make it a LGTBQ+ collective because the only people who read the comics are identity-politics addled milennials who can't fathom a fantasy world that isn't their hippie commune and all the villains are the people who doesn't agree with their values

People aren't going to get a better view of buddhists from the depiction of it in AtLA. They might actually get a worse view, when they look up how buddhist actually view LGTB matters.
And buddhists don't care, because unlike western christians they are actually confident in their religious mores

Now, I don't want to defend the gays, but the Air Monks couldn't be like Buddhist monks because otherwise they wouldn't have a continuing population

They didn't have traditional family structures. Children were raised by monks and taken away at birth. Parents didn't exist. It's absolutely moronic to think such a society would be ok with fricking gay couples doing whatever the frick they wanted when you're not even allowed be a parent.

Yeah, that's the weird part. Like, who made the babies? I'd have thought that every temple was a monastic community, with monks as benders and non-lay people supporting them, but I think they made it so that all "air monks" were both monks and benders

All of them were airbenders, which is what made the air nomads special. None benders didn't exist among them, iirc it was because there way of living made them more spiritually connected.
My guess is that they had established some form if system for their people to have sex for purely procreational purposes. The core of their education was to let go off your earthly attachments and reach enlightment afterall.

I hate having to think about sex and breeding in children's media. It's just so irrelevant but makes up so much of thr discourse now because it needs to be addressed for some reason.

Why were they called that again? They resided in Temples? And if I had to wager your guess is probably right, but still feels clumsy to me

It's not even about sex. It's just a weird gap that didn't even need to be there. Yiu made whole nation of Buddhist monks, who are famously celibates. People will question it.
>Like, who made the babies?
how do buddhists reproduce?

I barely remember this show at all, I only remember Zuko and Iroh traveling around, and Iroh coping cause he got his son killed for no reason and started projecting onto Zuko cause of it.
It's just being hardshoved as the new Harry Potter shit, because milennials refuse to grow up and adopt more nuanced taste in entertainment.
And you know it'll all be pozzed. They already soft-reconned the Air Nomads to be a hippie collective who fricked in every what direction, because buddhist monks didn't cut the jib
Don't jump the gun. Wait till it's out and then decide.
no, TLA was a fluke

I like Dragon Prince
It's waifus are also good beyond just the design
Based elf enjoyer.
So cute
They knew what they were doing when giving her those horns
I wish the elf waifus were in a better written series.
Writing is fine

Korra was great chuds
All of them will be terrible. Avatar was lightning in a bottle, Korra proves that much.
Korra changed so much though. I don't know why that shit was set in the future and not the past.
I hope they explain why Sokka wasnt in Korra
They did
I want to suck Korra’s big fat mommy milkers no homo
Seeing how pozzed Korra was even before troony takeover it's not looking good bros
Was the industrial revolution meant to be subversion? Or is me just finding the setting so uncomfortable and unreliable just a me issue?
>subversion
They didn't think beyond
>me like jazz age new york
>me make excuse it's totally Shangai and not just New York with a East Asian veneer
What contrived reason will they have for the Avatar to be unable to use the auto-win Avatar State (until the finale) in this one?
Already used so cannot be reused:
>blocked chakra
>mental illness
They'll use what they used last time.
Seems like Aang won't be the MC in any of them
Isn't Kyoshi bi too?
turned her into a homosexual when she was already established to have had a daughter in the original
The first movie is confirmed to be Aang and Co. As adults, not Kyoshi
https://www.polygon.com/sdcc/23275015/animated-avatar-airbender-movie-aang
>Kyoshi movie comes before Zukino
This was legit afaik but then they said the first movie will be aangs team avatar so idk
plot twist: he can, but he's a major c**t about it. main character will be trying to stop him
Should've ended with ATLA. Not even a Korra hater.
I unironically expect to see a troony character
Why the modern slang? Why not come up with an equivalent term for coming out in-universe?
This can't be real
You have no idea...
Wtf, they made Zuko a literal cuck?
I know I remember reading it and thinking it was nonsense, he also struggled a little with leading the fire nation. He ends up with someone else but it would have been good to see him with Mai
Good. Zuko only needs one girl
(Azula)
I legit thought these were fan made when I first saw them. Who the frick greenlit this shit?
Man, Zuko was a teenager and all but I'd figure after the show developed him he'd be mature enough to deal with the situation.
And not even the cucking part, gay writers have to pozz, but regardless of whether not that guy is plowing his used pussy, a commoner doesn't gave the right to talk to his Lord like that
I find it so funny how they embraced this stuff after making Korra lesbian without a single second of build up in the last season
>the three most prominant female characters in Korra are all dykes
Just take me back to the 00's
Least Toph made a female dynasty
*femcel
honestly idgaf if they make certain characters gay. it's just the writing around it. the plot, the world building (or destruction) and inconsistencies makes it shit
Lin and Suyin are more prominent than Kya, and while Lin is a dried up spinster, Suyin is a certified breeder.
Avatar state blocked due to lack of dilation
/qa/ lost
The Dragon Prince has one now, so Avatar needs to keep up.
They made season 4?
Yes, it's coming in november.
I'll be coming tonight ;>)
I thought buddhists monks were supposed to abstain from love? isnt that literally an entire arc in TLAB?
They're not Buddhist
they're literally buddhist. Aang is a vegetarian and has a no kill policy, what more do you want?
But there not 1:1 parallels.
Do you see any Buddhists riding air balls?
Extremely disingenuous.
How so, you think they're literal 1:1 when they aren't. They're air nomads, not real life buddhists

Osmosis
Don't think about it chud.
Avatar kino ended after Korra season 1, everything else is complete garbage that shits on well established canon(including the comics)
why is there so much gay acceptance now, does everyone secretly want to frick other men?!
since the greeks existed yes
Now it makes sense why they're called benders.
>separate people by sex
>teach detachment from earthly tethers and desires
>okay with buttfricking, love and scissoring
DISHONEST
Will Azula be there?
She's not allowed out of Zuko's harem.
if they don´t decanonize all of korra, it'll be shit
all of korra is irredeemable shit

>GoT
>Lotr
>Halo
>Death Note
you have to be unironically moronic to expect anything worthwile coming out of this
Who cares we know it ends like shit for all of them but Aang and Katara thanks to Korra
reminder that they accidentally made the fire nation too progressive in ATLAB so they retroactively banned gay marriage in the comics
This show only had one good season and it was the first one. Azula is maybe one of the shittiest characters ever written.
TripBlack folk and absolutely horrible subhuman opinions. Name a better combo
Korra S3 was the best Korra.
Rate my new Avatar series Bingo board
These hacks proved that they can't write shit, the original series was good on accident. I hope they at least fix Azula in these movies.
>fix Azula
moronic coomer.
I want to die
