Watch Dark Matter (2024). Similar plot but done better. Ignore the DEI Black person in the beginning, he only lasts 2 episodes thank god. The rest is kino

Oh alright. Dark Matter looked okay but the marketing revealing the twist seemed moronic. Does it follow the typical modern show formula where questions are never answered and everything is vague and slow paced?

Similar plot to what? As far as I can tell it's about a dude who gets kidnapped by another version of himself. What's that have to do with an anthology show?

Bumping for answers. Sandkings is the slowest, most boring pilot. There were some random T & A episodes, but I'd like to hear about some strong episodes.

Doesn't sandkings set up another future episode?

Its mentioned briefly in one episode, there was no reason it should have been multiple episodes

They tried linking a bunch of episodes together in a clip show episode framed around a congressional hearing.

some episodes are part 1 and 2 but later on and it can be annoying

It is a bastardization of the source material, but I still like the intergenerational father son relationship thing they touched on.

Alyssa Milano showed her breasts in an ep. Never saw the episode but saw her breasts a lot in grainy pre-HD screencaps.

Good luck, I've tried and every one I saw sucked. I love anthology shows, especially the more obscure ones, but for some reason most of them are poorly made. I don't know why, you'd think making a one episode story would be easier than planning out an entire series
    narrative.

The best episode of the Outer Limits is Trial by Fire, Season 2 Episode 9
    >The newly inaugurated President of the United States must deal with an approaching alien fleet of spaceships and determine whether to welcome them or destroy them, based on limited information.

What was the episode set in a school where they kept saying "get with the program" I remember friends talking about it the next day at school.

I love Outer Limits so much and don't get why people never talk about it.

Black Mirror sucks so hard it isn't even funny or is there one black mirror episode you can recommend to an outer limits fan?

Anyway outer limits is always about the twist ending so I don't know how to talk about episodes here without spoiling it ?

My favourite is probably the first episode or is the first the one with the space ants? Anyway I mean the one where everyone on earth is inside a bunker and they communicate with each other so they fire the nuclear missiles if some shit happens like say aliens attack or something but luckily everyone is on some big zoom call

    I won't say more
    Hope someone remembers that episode

the one with the wives that started to stink, don't recall which one it was but someone will.

Great series, had some bad, some good, some average.

Wished there was a version of it where all the episodes were rewritten as softporn (some were sexual already), some heavily rewritten, and it could be watched in that mode as well.

there was this episode with the Species babe, post-apocalypse techno bunker with holographic environment and some guy. And i had cnnfused that episode with another episode from another series in which there was a writer and another babe and in both episodes one was real and the other not.

Anyways, thought the Species super-babe was real.

That sort of smug 90s moralism, or whatever you want to call it, the show is full of is pretty quaint and/or cringe now. Truly a product of its time.

There's a funny one where a plague eradicated like 99% of the population and some survivors are holed up in a sealed hospital. The get a delivery of an experimental vaccine, but only enough for 2 or 3 people. There's a bunch of hemming and hawing over who should get it, but some teenage hooligans beat up the doctor and take it for themselves. Then they immediately drop dead because the vaxx was a lethal toxin and it turns out the survivors are already immune anyway.

That's the one. It's not super deep, but it's a really good primer for how to do sci fi moralizing without being smug or cringe like anon said above.
