I think people who do ship incest as part of it since the beginning or at worst a reveal made during the series run are different. For over three decades people shipped this without it being incest.

Every damn episode of the show began with the "no relation" gag. it's easily one of the most enduring running jokes of the show. The fact that this was seen as expendable ont he part of the creators, leads me to believe that this reboot won't have much respect for the original.

To be fair it's sort of understandable, this is a business. Often writers really wish they were working on their own original stories and characters or maybe something else. Some of them DO hate the original properties and characters. But this is the job they could get. They try to do their own thing.
Understandable and great, but why use an established IP then? Fans who care it's an old IP tune in because they're invested in the original. Another problem with everything needing to be driven almost entirely by money. Of course the writers just want something new with an old IP slapped on it while original fans don't want the original warped beyond recognition if it's going to claim to be a reboot.

April, May and June were Daisy Duck's nieces in the comics that were the main love interests of Huey, Dewey and Louie. The DT reboot made them HDL's first cousins by way of being Scrooge's daughters. It beat TT to the making the main love interests blood relatives thing
As much as I thought that whole thing sucked I kind of got that it was supposed to be this brilliant twisty mystery with a shock Webby reveal, it was basically and literally Frank's fanfiction. It would probably make for a good fanfiction but as a show it came across as really stupid and contrived.
It's also another case where fans need to shut up, of course people were all pissed off by people shipping Webby with the nephews but people shouldn't have to consider everything that a writer might pull out of their ass someday when watching a show. Like you said the two groups of three had been love interests for decades.
That was a more minor thing though and I get that the writer thought it was a genius Lost style plot twist while right now I don't understand the reasoning behind adding the incest, it's also much more front and center, babs x buster was definitely central to the whole franchise here so it doesn't seem like a weird minor change.
I know it would be shocking to make Babs and Buster brother and sister, although it's not strange, it would just invalidate the "no relations" joke, and both characters are based on Bugs Bunny. What would really ruin these characters is if they were presented as trans characters or I don't know what from LGBT, which is what most of them do on social networks.
As for Donald's nephews and Daisy's nieces, I don't mind that they are supposed to be siblings, since some authors put them as related (the father of Huey, Dewey and Louie is Daisy's brother according to some), but it's really stupid that Nu-Ducktales turned Daisy's nieces into Scrooge's daughters. I don't even mind that Webby is April, because the character Webby was created based on April, May and June. It's not a problem even if they are clones, but this decision was really idiotic.

It's frustrating that there's no "right place" to vent our spleens. When the Sonic design was unveiled there were obvious places for people to post their "what the frick are you people thinking and how do I get you fired?" comments.

The "cool bits" are less frequent than I'd like, but you had He-Man punching Skeletor so hard he flew off into the sun, team rocket style, Orko kicking glowing-satan's ass, and Man at Arms staring at Scaregod in the eyes and giving a fantastic "this is why you suck" speech.
The Roar guys just went with Mumm-ra toilet roll jokes that'd already been done on Robot Chicken.
Regardless of anything else, I hope they do a scene like Orko's death scene in the current he-man.

Rescue Rangers kills me more. Disney had a HUGE hit with Zootopia, one they clearly didn't expect. But the movie was tied into all sorts of social issues, and after 2016 the company is (understandably) reluctant to revisit a movie where conquering bigotry was the plot. But they should've gotten a clear message that the time was ripe for a "funny animals" franchise that could be marketed to the masses.

It got changed due to backlash, but that was a work where they badly needed people to go buy tickets. With streaming it's a different situation.
A better example would be the 8th and final season of Voltron. In season 7 they'd established a couple as lesbian lovers and then left it ambiguous what happened to them after a fight. In the original cut of season 8 it was going to turn out that one of them died. Well, the writers got feedback on a few things they'd done and went "oh my god we're despised already and they're going to hate us more when they see this." So they redubbed a bunch of lines and had the VA of the "dead" character say a bunch of stuff meant to be her character speaking over a radio. "She's alive, just not around!" And they splurged on a single frame at the end showing another gay character got married. No animation for it, but hey, a still frame! That's better than nothing!
Unironically that's what's needed here. It'd be clumsy as frick, but it's better than the alternative. Make clumsy script changes, redub lines, maybe splurge on a couple of still images, and edit like motherfrickers. Repair your damage before you have your first encounter with animation fans at a convention.

Ninja Turtles incarnations all have drastically different tone and usually a twist or two, and the reason for rebooting them is because you've went through all the established material and villains and it's easier to start over than create new ones. Tiny Toons meanwhile isn't as limited of a setting because it's a comedy and could easily be continued where the last one left off like the Animaniacs revival. I at least hope they aren't planning on recycling material from the original.
Also helps that TMNT usually go for different looks over each incarnation, that and most family relations are set in stone (Splinter is the Turtles father, Kurai is related to Shredder (with the exception of 2012)).
And in no version of it are the brothers unrelated and dating. He was perfectly fine with it being very similar to his show, until he found out that the one notable difference is they're siblings.

That episode honestly pissed me off. "Oh lol all of your favorite characters from this show from when you were a kid are dead lol." The usual response to fan complaints is always "but these shows and characters are always bad" but then use this same money for a whole new product and property. If you're going to try to exploit the original franchises for cash you can't just lean on they sucked since you're trying to use the success of the old versions to bring people in. You can change things and it shouldn't be a carbon copy anyway but going into a property actually hating the whole property isn't good.

Fine use fan terms for people invested or who like that part of the story or not but the fans didn't make Babs and Buster a couple they were MADE as a couple and kissed from the beginning of the show fricking frick.

The twitter outrage had people mad that "fans shipped Buster and Babs to begin with because they are children thank god the reboot will put a stop to fans shipping children" as if they didn't make out and go on dates in the show. Probably kids who didn't watch the show but acting like Babs and Buster as a couple comes from pervy fans and not the characters' creators is stupid. They were teenaged high schoolers dating like teenaged high schoolers do do.

Babs was great though because she was a female character who was also flawed and often as butthole and there were whole episodes about "Babs is an butthole who needs to learn a lesson." Unlike most of these things she wasn't the "better and cooler" one between her and Buster, they were even.
The episode where she goes around mocking all of her classmates so they do the same to her to show her how much it hurts.
The episode where she class clowns so much she isn't learning things at school that would actually be helpful. She learns in both episodes that she was wrong.
The episodes about babs being a jerk were often written by women about their own experiences (like Sherri Stoner) and a rare case where a female character had depth and development of a sort or could even do the wacky humor and wasn't just "somebody's cool and competent girlfriend who is way too good for them and they don't deserve" for a change. Hell, Buster was more the straight man character between them.
This makes me worry that instead of being funny or flawed Babs will just be cool and boring and empowered.
