Dennings would make a quality Nora at best.
Not sure about Behrs though; she could probably play as Phyrra, or maybe Saffron, but that's pretty much it for them since both of them would end up having less screentime even during the Beacon story arc.
Probably. Rooster Teeth was that kind of place and he did die because he couldn't tell his GF to frick off.
However, RWBY would have still been better, guaranteed. They would have spent more time and effort on the fights naturally leaving less time for their bullshit.
Monty was actually pretty based. Ignoring his creative autism [in hindsight it's not that he didn't make plans and shit so much as like a lot of autists he just didn't tend to explain them until it was like, immediately time to implement them, all that well] the guy was readily willing to make jokes purely because it'd be a funny racist meme and created a world where fricking evolutionary pressures resulted in almost every single man being a 6+ foot behemoth while 90% of the women are tiny little things barely scraping past 5 feet if that with breasts the size of melons.
He was also the kind of mega autist who refused to budge on basically everything, hence why they used poseur, a modeling program that was never really meant to be used for anything substantial, that Monty had cannibalized and modified into an animations suite for so long, he fricking refused to change to anything else and they flat out couldn't get him to budge.
He folded on shit his autism didn't care about but when it came to anything else he was fricking immovable. It's how RWBY happened in the first place, he got a throw away promise that if some shit was wrapped up he could have a series and then plowed through that shit like it was his wife's ass and pushed for the series. Miles and Kerry were strapped to it basically as an attempt to slow him down as a requirement but it's blatant that there wasn't anything fricking going on upstairs for them so his sperglordry probably would have seen RWBY through for at least a half dozen volumes.
Viv is a typical fujoshi so she only cares for male characters and shipping. She's the last person that should take charge of RWBY, unless you're OK with RWBY being boring and irrelevant in their own show while Jaune get all the attention. Inb4 that's the actual show, then there wouldn't be any improving
>unless you're OK with RWBY being boring and irrelevant in their own show while Jaune get all the attention.
You'd be surprise with how many people are actually totally fine about that.
I mean, consider how team rwby was written v6-v9. Least jaune would be allowed to be a frick up by comparison. I fricking hate everything they did with Weiss and atlas in the later volumes. The penny shit should have been ruby and jaune v9 conflict.

Everyone has the exact same personality from volume 6 on. There is no substantial moral or philosophical issue that anyone on their team disagrees on. It's bizzare. Weiss and Blake shouldn't have the exact same viewpoint on things.

That's true, but Yang is also a hypocrite because she gets mad at Ren for pointing out problems she herself brought up to Ruby an episode previous. She's deeply inconsistent.

One bad fight vs her entire story arc being shit and handed to her (willow). The election plotting and Robyn could have been written out and replace with rwbyjnr solving shit and it have been better. Grab some of that v1-v3 energy or something.

I mean the RWBY vtuber stuff is so cheap to produce that I feel like the only thing that will change is who gets a cut of stream revenue.
Unless the new buyer (my money’s on CR) wanted her to stop streaming for some reason.
If anything though streams would increase in frequency since CR has their own Vtuber channel that has collabed with Ruby before and brought in way more views than they would get normally.

It never started as woke trash. I'm pretty sure it only started being woke trash the last two seasons where RWBY is getting lectured by the troony while DOOM the videogame is happening outside. Jaune's token lesbian sister didn't take over the show.

As much as I don't like to say this anon, it did kind of start as woke.
The main girls of RWBY were pretty much the voice actresses' self inserts at the time of when the show started. It's definitely not as woke as it is now, but it still started somewhat woke.

WB is desperately trying to sell off the RWBY IP already, and they're struggling to find any buyers.
I mean, the Saga and The Clone Wars both have concrete endings. It's as finished as a series too profitable to ever truly die realistically can be. At this point if you're still putting yourself through random Disney+ shlock that's on you.
>all these years of shitshow and we aint even getting and ending >ending
Do you really want an ending that'll most likely end in an asspull and be unfulfilling? It's honestly better to have no ending, than an ending that is guaranteed to be bad.
There's no way the show isn't getting picked up at least for a final season. It may not be a big hot thing but it's still popular enough to not spontaneously die to corporate restructuring. Someone will buy the IP and pick up the pieces. At worst there'll be a 2-5 year hiatus.
>Destroyed two countries >Betrayed a guy that helped them over some idealistic bs in the middle of a war >Literally refuses to accept her sins so she schizo babbles to herself using her mom to accept that she's okay the way she is
She looks like the baddie tho
>using her mom to accept that she's okay the way she is
The worst thing is that it wasn't even her mother's ghost, but a memory from when she was 1 or 2 years old.
A reboot that threw out the most moronic bits of the early seasons and then had a semi coherent meta plot would unironically be a massive improvement and it wouldn't even be hard to do. I'm honestly optimistic that the IP will get somewhere now that it's out of the hands of those fricking morons.
>I'm honestly optimistic that the IP will get somewhere now that it's out of the hands of those fricking morons.
Their livestream basically implied that they want to be a part of the contract and have creative control over the series even if it belongs to someone, or that's what Mkek said
Frick no. That's absolutely moronic. You don't bring in the people who ran it into the ground when you are trying to get it up off the ground again. Fricking hell they had better not keep that dead weight. Literal teenagers can and have written better stories with better characterization than those chucklefricks.
>To be fair, Miles and Kerry were basically teenagers when they wrote Volume 1
NTA, but wouldn't you think during all this time they could've improved their writing by now? They somehow gotten even worse at writing compared to back then.
I think the writing in Volume 4,7 and 8 were better than 1 and 2.

So I wasn't opposed to RWBY vs Ironwood at the end of the volume. I feel like it made sense with Ruby's idealism and Ironwood feeling deceived by the group and Salem's arrival. I enjoyed that Ren thought maybe Ironwood was right during Volume 8 and the premise seemed like it would provide nice character conflict. I think it would've been fine if after RWBY came up with the plan with the relic and enacting it, Ironwood should have backed down since it was working. I cannot fathom why they made him tripple down on genociding Mantle other than to make RWBY look better. And frick CRWBY for making Ironwood's semblance just be autism.

I remembered just enjoying Ironwood being reasonable and being more or less okay with the plot up to the Qrow,Tyrian and Clover clusterfrick. It wasn't good but I felt like stuff was happening. Volume 8 had Watt's calling Cinder out on her shit...and I guess that's it.
I think I just liked the idea behind the two volumes of pragmatism vs moralism. Volume 8 definitely went overboard painting Ironwood as a villain but I appreciated the attempt of what they were trying to do.
Despite their shilling and Monty being too much of a humble autist for his own good, it's blatantly clear after the fact that Monty was the only one who knew how to write anything on the original team.
Not that he was super great or anything, but it's painfully fricking obvious he was the only one putting thought into things like narrative structure, world building, or character dynamics beyond the current moment and deeper than the surface level shit. M&K were just signed on because if he didn't take any more writers then the project wouldn't be approved.
>wanted to write Weiss stuff and share it in the threads >series is dead >threads also dead
Maybe the IP'll get sold, rebooted, and then things'll improve some day. RIP.
If Zaslav were a kind man, he'd keep these morons locked out of the bidding process to make the deal amicable to any buyers.
They just want to keep their jobs most of all. Kerry wants RWBY to end in HIS way, he only cares about his job. He knows he screwed up, he just doesn't want to admit it.
Not to mention him and other CRWBY members are trying to get the public's pity in a sad attempt to keep the same crew. Pic related.
A monument to his and to a lesser extent Miles egos. Miles spent most of his time lowkey seething over being stuck voicing Jaune until it started getting him pussy in Japan and mostly just wanted the accolades in general and felt like he "won" after the shock of Monty dying wore off and threats to his position were forced out of the company, Kerry though was blatantly the one that seemed to suffer from little dick auteurism the most and his ego demands that RWBY ensure he's enshrined as a creative success, which is falling to pieces with rot doesn't do for him. He's also mad that unlike Miles he wasn't able to leverage his role as Neptune into getting some asian VA snatch because nobody liked Neptune and Kerry himself was too repulsive so this is all he has left.
I thought the series was really boring. I watched season 1 and started season 2 then I just couldn't be bothered to finish it. The fights made no sense and Blake was insufferable.
RWBY is infamous for the constant retcons. Like Blake saying to Ozpin that she knows to fight because she grow in the streets but later we find out she was a princess
Technically what she said is that she grew up "outside the kingdoms", which is sort of true, since Menagerie isn't considered a proper kingdom for some reason(even tho they have one man in charge, which is much closer to a real monarchy than the other 'real' kingdoms anymore)

RWBY's muh racism plotline was hilariously half-baked. One of their protagonists was literally a top 0.1% b***h, and somehow she ended up being less privileged than the muh racism character and never even saw in person the guy who had his face branded with her dad's company's logo.

What was the point of this character? When Blake is giving the explanation of the recent change in White Fang leadership, it shows a silhouette of what looks like Adam when she's talking about the new violent leader. And then Adam is shown as being in charge of all the White Fang we see on screen during the Beacon arc. So it's reasonable to assume he is the new leader she was talking about. But then it turns out he ISN'T the leader, Sienna is. But the same episode we find that out, he kills her and becomes the leader. Was it just to make Adam a even bigger bad guy by adding "usurper" onto the list of his crimes? It's just irritating because it's a waste of the best faunus design in the series.
>When Blake is giving the explanation of the recent change in White Fang leadership, it shows a silhouette of what looks like Adam when she's talking about the new violent leader.
You could make the argument that he was the leader in the Vale chapter but he probably supposed to be the overall leader originally. Sienna's point was to show Adam is unhinged even by the extremists standards and he's evil. I'm thankful she got a little bit more screen time in the Adam trailer.
Adam was de facto in charge of the vale branch of the fang by the time the show starts. We see in the short that Sienna was basically grooming him for leadership after Ghira stepped down.
What wish was Ironwood even going to ask the Staff Genie for? He supposedly already had it making infinite energy to keep Atlas floating. Was he going to ask for infinity+1 energy? Also dust stops working in space, which is a problem when all Atlas technology runs on dust. It's hard to say if Ironwood was right when we don't even know if his goal is possible. Especially since the genie needs you to be very specific about what you want.
I think it was just make Atlas float higher? I think the idea was go high enough where Grimm simply couldn't get to. I doubt it would have worked but it was more than RWBY had at the time.
I think it was just make Atlas float higher? I think the idea was go high enough where Grimm simply couldn't get to. I doubt it would have worked but it was more than RWBY had at the time.
He should have just wished for 2 billion copies of Penny to appear in the sky above Atlas and wipe out all the Grimm in 20 seconds.
Ironwood IIRC was under the impression that the rules were actual rules you actually had to follow so probably not that. The genie explained that you have to actually know and be able to explain why something worked to have him make it, and Ironwood wouldn't have had the indepth knowledge on Penny's construction that her dad would have had so without knowing that actually you don't need to know shit just be able to explain in general or have a vague barely related example and you aren't actually restricted to only one thing because he can't "destroy" things that exist, Ironwood probably was planning to just max out Altas's flight systems and try to outrun Salem until she either gives up or he has a chance to rally the rest of the world by re-establishing communications.
>Especially since the genie needs you to be very specific about what you want. >ruby asks for a path that goes from atlas to vacuo. >so specific, bro, believe me.
That was the rule they were given, it's not Ironwood's fault the genie fricking lied and actually you just had to vaguely wave at something and say "kinda like that, make something up idgaf."
They have a ton of options to avoid homelessness. Blake being the princess of a tropical paradise, Weiss' family probably owns like 20 vacation homes all over Remnant, Ruby could go back to Patch, etc. But assuming all that vanished, they're still licensed huntresses so they could just do the job they went to school for to earn money.
Or prostitution, which is probably the answer you were fishing for.
>they're still licensed huntresses so they could just do the job they went to school for to earn money.
Who in their sane mind would hire terrorists that destroyed two countries?
Well global communications are still down so it's probably not common knowledge. Come to think of it, one of the last things most people in the world saw on TV is Yang breaking Mercury's leg. She was never really publicly exonerated for that, so most people's reaction to seeing her should be "oh no it's that crazy b***h".
>Jaune and Jessica are the best thing to come out of the lame crossover movies
I'd be totally okay with Jaune moving to the DC universe since the show is shutdown.
Just have him show up in Jessica comic runs as a supporting character to her, with a big sticker saying "featuring Jaune Arc from the hit show RWBY" and no one questions why he's there.
It's because Jaune is genuinely a better character. This is not to say Jaune is a good character. He isn't. But he's better than those cardboard cutouts.
>I'd be totally okay with Jaune moving to the DC universe since the show is shutdown.
Dunno, would he be a normal guy or a knight themed hero? I don’t think DC even uses Shining Knight nowadays, but, it's kinda obscure enough to make Jaune related to him.
>featuring Jaune Arc from the hit show RWBY"
Do the people that actually buy comics care about RWBY or Jaune? Because then you'd get another movie situation
Honestly, I don't really like or hate the guy, he's just kinda there.
I think he's supposed to be an audience surrogate to introduce elements from the setting, but as RWBY takes place in a school there is near situations where somebody wouldn't be expositing shit towards team RWBY.
Ruby herself is even oblivious enough where I can imagine she would know nothing of the modern Fanusus rights movements beyond the white fang being bad.
Blake and Yang hooked up. Weiss is canonically super gay (bisexual? she did hit on Neptune) but also a raging incel who doesn't know how to express herself, so she never hooked up with anyone. Ruby literally killed herself after her waifu died, and is in fact the only one of the four to never have a male love interest.
Oh right, and Yang is a bawd. It disappears (obviously) after she hooks up with Blake, but it's mentioned early on that she frequently hangs out at bars for drunken hook-ups, so she's been around. And of course Blake's ex-boyfriend is a major antagonist for half the show before she gets her new piece to knock off the old one. So two of them had dick, yes, but it was past tense, set before the show started.
>the only one of the four to never have a male love interest
Oscar blushed when Ruby touched him, and then later they were about to hug before being interrupted by plot. Going by the standards set by Bumblebee, that means they're basically married now.
Such an ugly haircut, and I can't still believe how the white streak on his hair was muh character development, just that because like Ruby he went back to the same since "frick haters"
They should have kept him with long hair at the very least. That banana haircut was a mistake.

I knew they were gonna deage him back to normal at the end, I just wish the Blacksmith had let him keep the hair and armor.
I really liked his rusted armor look.
MY least favorite part of RWBY dying is that now we'll never learn where the frick faunus came from. I really wanted them to see MKEK come up with some stupid bullshit that they think sounds cool, but accidentally has horrific implications when tied into the racism plot that they didn't consider.
That was actually explained in one of the world of remnant stories. Faunus are just humans fused with talking animlas because some other god (yes, they introduced another god) decided to fuse them together to solve their problems.
>because some other god (yes, they introduced another god) decided to fuse them together to solve their problems.
So they're "God's chosen people"? I think it makes sense now
Speaking of the staff, if RWBY had continued they definitely would have retconned in a 3 wish limit to keep Salem from instakilling all of Vacuo, right?
If they were better writers they could easily avoid this problem purely by Ambro’s rule of “Not being allowed to destroy things” and extend it to he can’t create anything that would destroy something even indirectly. >Salem: “Create a giant boulder over Vaccuo” >Ambro: “Sure thing” >*Creates a boulder that floats and will never fall*
But Cinder used the staff to kill Watts so so much for that.
I think currently the logic is Salem can’t nuke Vaccuo off the face of Remnant with excessive force because she might accidentally kill the maiden.
>Blake decided to go into hiding after leaving the WF >just wore a bow, didn’t even change her name >despite the fact that googling “White Fang Founders” would probably bring up her parents names
What a stupid kitty.
>the academy teaches history about humans and faunus, no one recognizes Blake. >weiss's family is harassed by the white fang, weiss doesn't even know the founders of the bastards.
The whole situation is very ridiculous.
End it with Renora, WhiteKnight, RoseGarden, and Bumblebee ships happened and they all have kids who are on a new team together.
Cue new show, RWBY: The Next Generation.
It's a fantasy world and, in theory, it's already posible for two females to have an offspring. Bumblebee can have a biological child but that child would be mentally fricked up
Did you miss "not without intervention"? Medical intervention counts. Besides if we both agree the kid would be fricked, assuming they even stayed together which statistically they would not, why did you feel the need to nit pick at me?
End it with Renora, WhiteKnight, RoseGarden, and Bumblebee ships happened and they all have kids who are on a new team together.
Cue new show, RWBY: The Next Generation.
I like the general idea. But I wonder, if on that timeline they defeat Salem somehow and bring the gods back to Remnant. Will Grimm still exist? Or what will be the general purpose of such a story?
Picrel is my view of a Whiteknight chikd
Would it even be worth it if it got a volume 10 at this point? Even if they managed to find someone willing to continue to the show, unless they're miraculously able to secure more seasons with it, they'll have no choice but to rush out the ending in 1 volume, which there's just no way they'd be able to pull off in a satisfying way. It'd be much better off just being rebooted.
The closure is that they failed. That's your closure. They sucked, and the show failed. The end. This is the conclusion to the rwby saga. All the shitposting culminated in them not being able to outrun their frick ups any longer.
So what does everyone think of the animation between the volumes 1-3 vs 4-9? I think the overall animation got better once they moved to maya, but the fight scenes were way better under poser thanks to animators like Monty and Shawn. My favorite fight scenes are probably the red trailer and pyrrha vs mercury
>So what does everyone think of the animation between the volumes 1-3
Looks like it was made in blender over a weekend >vs 4-9
Looks like it was made in blender over two weekends
While general animation things got better, I really dislike how the designs evolved. Everyone got much more round faces that just didn't fit them at all and hair really suffered.
Also, the fights used to be better but that goes without saying.
One of the things that left the show when Monty passed away were also the fighting scenes quality.
In terms of the look of the show itself, the Poser models in V3 were insanely good. I really wished they at least kept the show in the poser look for at least one more volume, Poser models looked a lot more colorful and expressive as compared to Maya.
Maya looked awful in V4 to me, but after that it got much better later on in the looks department. I still prefer Poser, but it has it's strengths when it comes to how the show looks overall. Also a one of the reasons why a bunch of animators also left RT was due to the quick transition to Maya alone, one of the reasons why the fighting scenes weren't anywhere near as good early in the show.
It's honestly all up to taste though.
It's so weird that Monty's ghetto rigged poseur suite animated so much fricking better than Maya. Like that hair is nothing special but it at least looks like hair and animates as such in Poseur.
The worst fights in RWBY were the ones at the end of Volume 5 when they just had a bunch of characters standing around in a room. You could tell they had no idea what to do without Monty, and hadn't figured any of that shit out yet.
The creator of Gen:Lock was RT's animation director at the time and apparently funneled an inordinate amount of resources to his pet project to the detriment of everything else, including RWBY.

I dropped Gen:Lock s2 after the first episode. It was that bad. Looking at recap videos, I almost can't believe how shitty it got after that.
Comparing Volumes 1-3 with the rest of the show is like comparing classical painting with typical modernist slop. There is simply no competition. The first three volumes had significantly better animation and art design. The characters looked more expressive and popped out in your eyes, making them stand out. Designs were simple but highly effective and provided a great initial impression. Compare that to the later volumes. The characters now look like wax models. If the first three volumes looked like they were made in MMD, the later ones looked like they were made in Garry's Mod. Characters look inexpressive and don't stand out enough on their own. If the volumes 1-3 made them look convincingly 'anime', in the sense that they managed to emulate the 2D style of anime somewhat successfully, then the later volumes instead very clearly makes them look 3D in an almost uncanny manner. The result is that the characters all look extremely odd unless viewed from the front (see
for an example). The faces also look uncanny. The eyes are too high up and the lips too low towards the chin. The excess space between the nose and the upper lip makes them look like monkeys. It's just all wrong.
I realize I am mostly referring to the art design here, but good art design precedes good animation, as that is the driving force that brings the characters to life. Volumes 1-3 stood out. Every scene and shot was made with very clear intent, which helped make the fighting choreography become memorable and purposeful. Compare that to the post-Monty volumes and you'll see that they are almost entirely devoid of this aesthetic consistency. Again, it's like something out of Garry's Mod. It looks like a crappy early XBox 360 JRPG. There is no weight, no purposefulness to the animation. It's the kind of thing almost made out of a sense of obligation instead of an artistic endeavor.
I think my favorite fact about the Maya models is that they didn't even make naked barbie doll models for the characters and instead just made the models as they were clothing and all. Might be bullshit for all I know.
Not creating naked models for the main characters is one of the dumbest things you can do in 3D, I would understand if they were NPCs in the background or single episode characters, but not creating naked models for the protagonists is just an unnecessary waste of money on new models every time that you want to change the design of your characters.

Ironically, they allegedly started using naked models from v9 onward.
>they allegedly started using naked models from v9 onward.
It's probably fake, no character received a new design, only Jaune, but he went back to his previous design in the last episode, I mean, they're on a tropical island, but they're still wearing their winter clothes, at least take off Yang's stupid jacket!
Well part of that was how Volume 1-3 was, Monty tells Miles and Kerry what fight he wants to happen. They write filler until they get to the Monty fight. Then sometimes they'll be writing and Monty will come in and mention a new character will be included in said fight last minute. It's part of the reason why the first three volumes are a mess.
You're right it was never good, but at least at one point it was kinda charming.

Anon doesn't actually know what the frick he's talking about. MKEK gaslit people into thinking they were the real writers but we have the fricking commentaries. They were the homosexuals who kept insisting "I'm bored let's do a fight instead of world building/writing", we have that nearly fricking verbatim.
They will use the morons that made them go broke to show that the show is still alive, super popular and that they just needed TWO MORE WEEKS- I mean seasons to get the money back
What? No, Sony bought them so its gonna be even more woke lmao while costing more >According to a service update from Funimation, the price for a new Crunchyroll plan will increase from $54.95 a year to $99.99 a year starting January 28, 2025. This is for Funimation subscribers who were grandfathered in with the old yearly prices, which were around $7.99 to $9.99 a month.
>to show that the show is still alive
How are they going to do that? The numbers show a sustained decline in viewership and engagement. No buyer is going to look at the stats and say "yep, these people are successfully keeping the show alive, better leave them on the team"
>foot the bill
RWBY was insanely profitable, they needed to be efficient with not paying VAs for ten coffee breaks a day, not paying their writers to write seven different scripts that go no where, and contract some animation team for a fair price and understanding on both sides if crunch is necessary or not. RT not being efficient with RWBY, one of their golden gooses, is because they hired all this diversity hire trash that drew funds away from RWBY. This caused a negative feedback loop where their cash cow got shitty, no one watched it, and they had less money to reinvest into their cash cow.
It's crazy how deluded they are. Like when Barb came out and said the show wasn't profitable, someone tried to make a thread about that in the reddit only for it to be shut down by people saying that was totally not what Barb said.
I still can't believe you can find Gavin's girlfriend's ass and breasts online. What's with narcissists like Idubbz doing the most cucked thing possible?
They just want to keep their jobs most of all. Kerry wants RWBY to end in HIS way, he only cares about his job. He knows he screwed up, he just doesn't want to admit it.
Not to mention him and other CRWBY members are trying to get the public's pity in a sad attempt to keep the same crew. Pic related.
They already are trying to get the public's pity when it's so obvious they just want to keep their jobs. Maybe if they didn't make the show so awful, actually listened to their audience, and stopped circle jerking each other, then MAYBE still have their jobs
Most because the draw of RWBY is it's cute girls being heroic and not loose. Enlightened fans like me know that Jaune was never a bad character, if anything rolling Oscar into his character would have been better for the story and allowed for Lancaster more naturally.
It would be a good change, Ruby works better as a secondary character than as a protagonist.
I say this because they write her as stupid when she is the protagonist, but when she is secondary she is much more mature.
Honestly it had more than enough time to finish. If it gets a finale chance and honestly I don’t think it deserves it, they should just use that season to wrap up the show.
>how is stalling against an unkillable, magical monster with an ever-growing, actively evolving army a good strategy?
When the alternative is to fight said unkillable monster and definitely lose because lol unkillable, then stalling seems the better choice.
It's still a better plan than losing another maiden and two relics, not to mention the destruction of another kingdom.
Salem was unstoppable? well thanks to the rwby team she is now super unstoppable.
RWBY didn't suggest to stay and fight, they were trying to convince Ironwood to not abandon all of Remnant because of a hasty decision.
>they were trying to convince Ironwood to not abandon all of Remnant because of a hasty decision.
and look how it all ended, without a doubt a great plan, maybe if rwby had told the truth from the beginning maybe everything would have been better. >rwby: hey dude, salem is immortal. >ironwood: ok, let's evacuate everyone as soon as possible.
It's still a better plan than losing another maiden and two relics, not to mention the destruction of another kingdom.
Salem was unstoppable? well thanks to the rwby team she is now super unstoppable.
His original plan was to unite the other kingdom's with Atlas in a grand crusade to defeat Salem. This is his plan because, being a general, he wants to solve the issue like a normal war. Instead of immediately telling him this D-Day Jihad idea won't work(because Salem can't be killed), Ruby actively lies and works to undercut his every action(It's apparently evil for Oz to lie but ok for Ruby)despite being shown nothing but support and kindness.
Granted, I'm of the opinion the entire Ironwood vs RWBY plot shouldn't have happened, for multiple reasons(it was poorly written, people acted out of character and we already had a "bad" headmaster in Leo), but RT wanted their genocide general fix.
At the very least they should have just ended it with Ironwood and Robyn choosing to work together(as they literally chose to do but then RT fricked it up for no reason at all), but nah we never cheap drama because lulz
The hypocrisy is rancid. These women constantly say trust love but won't even trust the people who trust THEM.
The entire humiliation ritual meant to tear the guy down just because RT hated fans who sided with him is infuriating.
In a season filled with terrible writing decisions, I think my least favorite was wasting the final lamp question on something extremely boring that Cinder could have easily found out through other means. Like have Watts hack the hidden cameras Willow has all over the mansion, that would have been some fun irony. It's not like Cinder even did anything smart with the information. She just did a dumb sneak attack with Neo in the portal zone, which is really something they could have easily just done on the fly without prior knowledge of the portal plan. It's just so transparently a case of the writers wanting to get rid of a plot element so they don't need to think about it anymore.
Anon they're lefties. They genuinely think the "racism" they did show is worth starting a race war over. It's not that they failed, it's that you don't share their moronic world view.
>Main anti racism girl is literally a nepo baby who has done nothing but frick up since S2 >Faunus have an entire kingdom to themselves, doing pretty well >White fang are explicit villains and not ONCE we actually get a reason to care beyond blake moralgayging >The one guy who has a point is portrayed as a mass murdering terrorist lunatic, gets shat on hard later on and dies like a b***h against nepo baby >Even blake eventually forgets about the faunus after getting some blonde human pussy >Every faunus is either treated perfectly well by everyone else or a crazy terrorist who the protags WOULD be perfectly justified in killing
We're reaching isekai levels of unfortunate implications, if i knew nothing about rwby i'd completely believe someone on the team was actually racist with much they fricked it up
I mean realistically she had to be into it. There's no way she couldn't kick Cardin's ass, he's fricking pathetic and she's both an upper year and actually supposedly competent.
The issue with Velvet is that her weapon requires super expensive dust so if she doesn't want to use that dust she's..... probably not that good in a fight.
One thing is the dust weapons, another the moves she copied unless they stated some bullshit in the novels like Yatsuhashi's semblance being able to mindrape
?si=H9MyUQvd3JZG9BBE >The most asspull powers of all, being able to copy weapons and fighting style
It really didn't make sense unless, as you said, she's into it
Also cardin was an awful example since he's just a bully, jaune was just a guy and got it even worse, if you rewrote velvet to be a regular chick i could still see cardin fricking with her.
The sad thing is that really is the worst example of racism we have to point to in the show. Bullying, which seems to be less racially motivated and more that the dude was just an ass, and being denied entrance to a bar.
What about that one inn in Mistral that had a 'No faunas allowed' sign? Not that it was relevant since no one was a faunas (not making Ruby a wolf faunas was a huge waste)
Because the modern media industry is desperate for IPs that it can try to milk for money. They don't really create anything new anymore we just get the latest round of slop for existing franchises or re-imaginings of older hits. Someone will look at RWBY and say "hey there's a franchise with an existing fanbase that I can exploit" and it'll get picked up. Contrary to
>Why do some of you think they're going to sell the IP
wishful thinking
I'm not hoping it will happen. I dread it. RWBY wasn't good, but if it gets a revamp I guarantee it will be worse.
>Warner sitting on it for the rest of time.
While that's certainly possible they want to do live services games so RWBY still has a chance, they should change the writers tho
There's no way genlock and rvb will get bought. One is a colossal failure and the other's glory days are long gone along with the franchise it was based on.
>I think anyone who is actually rebooting the series would have to do the same or be crucified
You'd be surprised with how few beegays really are. They only won because the VAs shilled for their pairing.
>even if everyone is tired of lesbians
If a nip company gets the license, Bumblebee is guaranteed, since that has a built in yuri fandom. Likewise, Whiterose would be *the* main ship because of how popular it is over there.

Dude, Japan never takes lesbians seriously, it's always comedy, they know that they sell more with the harem with any other romance.
Also, the Japanese don't give a shit about the opinion of American or European fans.

rwby is not popular in any way in Japan.
It got its own anime, several manga, and crossover with fricking Persona. That is pretty popular. Hell, Japan arguably respects RWBY more than its home country ever did.

The anime failed, the manga doesn't sell and no one cares about crossovers with dead franchises.
If it were really popular RT wouldn't have closed.

>If it were really popular RT wouldn't have closed.
That would be a good point...if Warner Bros. wasn't the one pulling the plug and RT's general incompetence outside RWBY also didn't play a factor.
This is the same company that sank a shitton of money into GEN:LOCK of all things.

Reminder RWBY not being profitable for a while was confirmed some months ago. It's the reason they needed CR money to make Vol 9.
You could argue RT didn't know how to market the brand (despite multiple games, a fricking anime, comics, and several manga adaptations), but it's also true the fanbase just kept shrinking with each volume.

probably both. At it's peak the RT subscription thing had 250k subs and that would have been way long ago when the price was only $36 a year (bumped up to $60 a year in 2019), that would have been 9mil a year, and that's for all content they produced on First which included RWBY i think, now they've also got add revenue and merch and what not but the most recent season of RWBY apparently cost 6mil~ and the most recent sub count was around 50k at $60 so about 3mil. I'm not sure Merch and liscencing is going to get them to even never mind profit and again that's not including all the other stuff they do.

Keeping Bumblebee is fine as long as something is done with it and it receives the proper amount of time, not too much, not too little.
Also there needs to be a joke about Yang dating a woman who looks like her mom, perferibly while Raven is in the room.
>Ruby as a fighting Prodigy with a dark side
Less Dark side more trained and practically raised by Qrow who is an ex-bandit and not really someone that can be considered a healthy member of society. And for the love of god drop the shit about her not knowing how to fight hand-to-hand, sure she isn't as strong as Yang but i refuse to believe she doesn't know how to throw a punch and anyone swinging CR around isn't weak.
I'd also probably show the manga fight where Cardin attempts to pick on Ruby before she utterly destroys him in a manner that makes his teams fight with Pyrrha look even.
It’s still funny how they made the effort to turn her into a real girl, just to kill her permanently the next episode.
Like they really wanted to ensure that this time there will be no rebuilding her, just a painful murder-suicide pact.
>"Wow, to think we made up a reason why she could be killed off permanently as a machine and STILL found a more permanent way to kill her off after rushing her Pinnocio implications!" >"Now how many pieces of Penny merch can we mark you down for?"
Probably the worst part of V8 was Cinder being an invincible super god because the penultimate episode was us learning she was sad once and then proceeding to remind the audience that RWBY isn't allowed to have happy endings to shit.
Now that I think about it, other than beegays just about everyone lost. Feels like the only victories that happened in the damn show that weren't immediately taken away were just to stitch Yang and Blake together at the hip. It was to a point where I recall at the climax of V9 Ruby literally erasing herself and being replaced by a completely different character was a very real possibility people were considering because having your final beacon of hope break down and end herself would've been par for the course by this point.
>V9 Ruby literally erasing herself and being replaced by a completely different character was a very real possibility people were considering because having your final beacon of hope break down and end herself would've been par for the course by this point.
It made me incredibly hard. All of Ruby's breaking down plot in V9 was great. I love sufferkino.
I just don't understand why they would immediately kill Penny after that. Surely even the hacks writing RWBY could see that the long-term story opportunities of having Human Penny around would far outweigh the short-term drama of killing her, right? No, they're paste-eating morons.
Someone must die for dramatic effect in our season finale! That's how the good shows do it, right?
>Haven't thought about RWBY in years. >See this thread. >Suddenly remember the Pyrrha fanfiction I wrote way back in high school where a resurrected amnesiac Pyrrha starts a relationship with a self-insert that gives her medicine and helps her recover from her injuries. >She spends time doing local hunstman work but slowly starts to regain her memories, until she sees a news report that has JNR featured, so she tries to run off to meet them. >And it's revealed my self-insert was the one that resurrected her, and the medicine was also supposed to help suppress her memories so she'd stay. >And it ends with her passing out and waking up the next morning with no memories again, but this time she feels inexplicably more trusting of self-insert than before.
God I was a fricking psycho. May the memory of it die with the memory of RWBY and early 10's angst rock. Pyrrha still has the best design.
I'd scrap the overarching plotline and implement an episodic, monster-of-the-week format >Watsonian
None lol >Doylist
People only watched this show because of CGDCT with DMC fights, this format means I could churn out endless content, make bank from tie-ins and merch sales and avoid any controversy as long as the episodes themselves are passable.
Here i am just hoping Oneiros the Writer actually follows through on his re-write of Four Deadly Secrets or a story along the lines of This Nightmare of mine ever happens (that is Ruby doesn't go to Beacon and stays at Signal)
>This Nightmare
Yeah, it's a shame fanfiction so often ends up abandoned, but it's not like it's being written as a job most of the time.
There was also Something Wicked This Way Comes which has been abandoned for 4 years now. It was one of the few Beacon stories I actually liked.
Not that I hate Beacon, but most of the time the author just writes the stations of canon+1 new character.
4 because it basically takes us back to Vol 2 where the Grimm are the main threat but criminal groups are around instead of everything being Salem's fault
I heard Ruby is a bigot now father
>"What's the school's official stance on homophobia? Should we all be homophobic now?"
CHINESE
Good for her! Somebody finally had the guts to stand up and say it! They come over here, after our jobs and our women, fecking Grimm!
>its western soul eater
>gets slam dunked into the trash can
It's more like someone trying to write their own Blackrock Shooter lore before it really had any.
That is a name I have only heard in death battle threads
Death battle is brain poison
Thank god it dies with RT
It's literally Final Fantasy 8 you mongs.
This would've saved RT easily.
Trans* women?

>saving trans women on your pc

>saving trans women in your head

>having function eyes means le girl penis rent free
>YOU'RE A troony DEFENDIN'
Moving targets?
How would fetal alcohol syndrome Ruby save RT?
Dennings would make a quality Nora at best.
Not sure about Behrs though; she could probably play as Phyrra, or maybe Saffron, but that's pretty much it for them since both of them would end up having less screentime even during the Beacon story arc.
Not even Ruby deserves that
The way I see it is that Monty's legacy is finally put to rest.
Finally. They will finally stop defiling his dream and stop pissing on his grave.
Frick rooster teeth and rest in piece Monty.
Monty was a little b***h too, anon.
Dead Fantasy, Haloid and the choreography in RWBY
Monty made things with actual value.
I mean as a person, he would have gone woke too since they were his friends too
Miles and Kerry were strapped to it basically as an attempt to slow him down as a requirement but it's blatant that there wasn't anything fricking going on upstairs for them so his sperglordry probably would have seen RWBY through for at least a half dozen volumes.
also the choreo in Red vs Blue
>she never got to rape oscar
sad
Oscar was built for my dick
It'll get sold to a new company and rebooted and everyone on Cinemaphile will love Ruby and want to lick her soles then.
How do we know it won't be just as woke as before, if not more so?
Rwby, presented by vivziepop
>Vivziepop
>choreographing action
It's gonna suck even worse than the original
Viv is a typical fujoshi so she only cares for male characters and shipping. She's the last person that should take charge of RWBY, unless you're OK with RWBY being boring and irrelevant in their own show while Jaune get all the attention. Inb4 that's the actual show, then there wouldn't be any improving
>Jaune get all the attention.
So long as Jaune gets a harem at the end instead of endless suffering then sure.
Just imagine the reaction of someone who only ever saw season 1 and the early fanfics.
Yes, it's true. I have no idea what the frick is going on. Other than homophobic Ruby, anyway.
Even disconnected through the seasons, you are still my homie .
All team RWBY would be lesbians but stay out-of-focus while Jaune receive ship-tease with every male character. Just like Hazbin Hotel
>unless you're OK with RWBY being boring and irrelevant in their own show while Jaune get all the attention.
Isn't it basically the series currently?
It fluctuated throughout the series so far.
>Vol 1-3
Ruby is the boring and irrelevant one
>Vol 4-6
Blake is the boring and irrelevant one despite her subplot with Adam taking precedence
>Vol 7-9
Weiss who became the new Jaune after the writers realized they couldn't torment him anymore.
>unless you're OK with RWBY being boring and irrelevant in their own show while Jaune get all the attention.
>I fricking hate everything they did with Weiss and atlas in the later volumes
Weiss jobbed to a column in volume 5
Everyone has the exact same personality from volume 6 on. There is no substantial moral or philosophical issue that anyone on their team disagrees on. It's bizzare. Weiss and Blake shouldn't have the exact same viewpoint on things.
That's true, but Yang is also a hypocrite because she gets mad at Ren for pointing out problems she herself brought up to Ruby an episode previous. She's deeply inconsistent.
>She's deeply inconsistent
She became really shit during v5 and never recovered. Plus her and blake telling Robyn will always be moronic.
>Yang is also a hypocrite because she gets mad at Ren for pointing out problems she herself brought up to Ruby an episode previous
I don't remember that but to be fair, I forgot a lot of the previous volumes
One bad fight vs her entire story arc being shit and handed to her (willow). The election plotting and Robyn could have been written out and replace with rwbyjnr solving shit and it have been better. Grab some of that v1-v3 energy or something.
Bold of you to consider them "people"
There's people that find team RWBY just unlikeable in general and prefer other characters, sorry about that.
That's well and good, but I draw the line at liking the self-inserts
Team rwby spent like 5 episodes over the course of volume 8 doing nothing but drinking tea and complaining while the hordes of hell were baying for the annihilation of mankind.
>Team rwby
Yang was actually doing shit with jaune and ren.
Vivzie can just turn all the girls into boys
>twin male dalem
>twink male cinder
Ew no.
Who will be the Alastor of RWBY?
Jaune
>Suit
>Cane
>Fan Favorite
>Jobs in the end

I checked the frick out when they killed Penny for a third time. I hope it's never finished. It's the legacy they deserve.
You didn't really miss anything
>le saddo ruby filler season
>jaune killing penny is never addressed and ruby's depression is solved via a mostly off-screen just be urself talk from her mom's ghost
thanks for the rundown, I sure as shit wasn't going to pay to see that
Cringe and shit taste
Cancelled.
Now the series has a better chance of having a new season.
welp now you and all the other homosexuals that based there entire personality's and youtube channels around crying about this show will have to find something new to cry about
Hazbin Hotel. Otherwise, why would people bring up Vivzi buying RWBY.
>THIS IS YOUR FAULT YANG AND BLAKE! BETTER GET USED TO THE TASTE OF DICK AGAIN, BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT WE’RE ALL GONNA BE SUCKING UNDER A BRIDGE FOR MONEY FROM NOW ON BECAUSE OF YOU TWO!
I am going to blow multiple loads each day to Blake until the show is picked back up

I don't think I'm supposed to be linking streams in here, but just look for Helldiver 2 streams on twitch. It should appear immediately.
Post it to /vt/ the crosslink that post, Helldivers is the new good game and a frick ton of people are streaming it beside a webshow cartoon in the mess that is twitch.
Fine
Thanks.
Finally. I've been looking for her channel.
Is she allowed to do this? Isn't the character owned by WB? (Currently)
Allowed to do what specificly?
The Ruby vtuber content has been going on for months now.
I think he means if she can use the character when the IP gets bought by someone else, since as a part of RT and her VA she probably was allowed to use her without problems
>Crunchyroll
Please no, CR is also a wokefest company. RWBY would literally be in the same state as it was.
I just want this IP to win something at least, like letting it finally rest once and for all would be for the best.
Anon RWBY has always been woke trash. If it does get bought by anyone, it's gonna get bought by someone who makes woke trash. There's not a single company that could or would buy it that isn't woke.
It never started as woke trash. I'm pretty sure it only started being woke trash the last two seasons where RWBY is getting lectured by the troony while DOOM the videogame is happening outside. Jaune's token lesbian sister didn't take over the show.
>It never started as woke trash.
As much as I don't like to say this anon, it did kind of start as woke.
The main girls of RWBY were pretty much the voice actresses' self inserts at the time of when the show started. It's definitely not as woke as it is now, but it still started somewhat woke.
You can blame Austin Texas for that.
>Unless the new buyer (my money’s on CR) wanted her to stop streaming for some reason
No company would let you use theirs characters for free tho, she would either need to boost the popularity of the product or get enough profit to keep her, if the the buyer isn't CR as you expect that is, muh feelings about being the character for so many years means shit to the suits
WB is desperately trying to sell off the RWBY IP already, and they're struggling to find any buyers.
Ruby shoul settle down with Jaune already.
Jaune's an old man in spirit now. He's gonna beeline for Willow the moment he enters Vacuo and the MILF hunter powers will do the rest.
CRWBY wanted Rosegarden but at least now it'll never happen
Jess is hauling Jaune to DCverse anytime, by now.
sadly she's like me, a faunus fricker since her va/streamer is married to sun's.
She's married? Frick, I just lost all interest.
Nah bro, she digivolved since getting married. Go for it.
Holy shit.
What the hell happened?
My theory is that the husband's fetish.
I'm 70% sure she's pregnant in that picture.
Two pregnancies and an architect for a husband.
Before and after??
Shame. Her face is still cute.
Do you think ruby uses that to scratch her ass?
No, but she lost her virginity to Crescent Rose.
I won.
Why did you win?
So what was this about?
Delusional lesbians destroying everything they touch while calling everyone sensible the bad guys.
Can you guys go back to trash, already?
It's over, the big bad wolf ate your red hiding hood. Get over it.
Will Star Wars fans ever get over Luke Skywalker milking a cow?
No because star wars' corpse is still shuffling around with no peace
I mean, the Saga and The Clone Wars both have concrete endings. It's as finished as a series too profitable to ever truly die realistically can be. At this point if you're still putting yourself through random Disney+ shlock that's on you.
all these years of shitshow and we aint even getting and ending, fricking hell
>all these years of shitshow and we aint even getting and ending
>ending
Do you really want an ending that'll most likely end in an asspull and be unfulfilling? It's honestly better to have no ending, than an ending that is guaranteed to be bad.
>Verification not required.
I want to see how bad it would be
There's no way the show isn't getting picked up at least for a final season. It may not be a big hot thing but it's still popular enough to not spontaneously die to corporate restructuring. Someone will buy the IP and pick up the pieces. At worst there'll be a 2-5 year hiatus.
>Destroyed two countries
>Betrayed a guy that helped them over some idealistic bs in the middle of a war
>Literally refuses to accept her sins so she schizo babbles to herself using her mom to accept that she's okay the way she is
She looks like the baddie tho
>using her mom to accept that she's okay the way she is
The worst thing is that it wasn't even her mother's ghost, but a memory from when she was 1 or 2 years old.
Alright, hear me out. RWBY must get sold to the FNAF dudes. If anyone knows anything about reviving franchises, it's them.
I hope people still make porn of Yang and her fat breasts.
>To be fair, Miles and Kerry were basically teenagers when they wrote Volume 1
NTA, but wouldn't you think during all this time they could've improved their writing by now? They somehow gotten even worse at writing compared to back then.
I think the writing in Volume 4,7 and 8 were better than 1 and 2.
7 and 8 are the very definition of "forced conflict" and insane character motivations. The whole thing is contrived to frick and back.
>team RWBY showing up to Atlas and Mantle to cause problems
>the main cast lies to Ironwood with no real reasons, despite Ironwood telling them his own secret plan to try and reunite the world
>Ironwood gives RWBY their Huntsman and Huntress licenses for basically free, and yet they still don't trust him
>Weiss' story plot line just gets finished with no satisfaction, only due to because her mother had conveniently set up cameras in their mansion
>there was no emotion at all when Weiss arrests her father which caused her to become a Huntress in the first place
>character bloat cause of the Ace Ops, Happy Huntresses, etc. Combined with team RWBY and JNPR the cast of Atlas makes up to about 20 characters at least
>the forced election drama which could've been prevented cause of faunus' night vision
This is just V7 alone, V8 somehow had more problems than this.
V8 was literally Crwby throwing a hissy fit because fans didn't buy into their protagonist centric morality.
Not a high bar exactly
Despite their shilling and Monty being too much of a humble autist for his own good, it's blatantly clear after the fact that Monty was the only one who knew how to write anything on the original team.
Not that he was super great or anything, but it's painfully fricking obvious he was the only one putting thought into things like narrative structure, world building, or character dynamics beyond the current moment and deeper than the surface level shit. M&K were just signed on because if he didn't take any more writers then the project wouldn't be approved.
GenLock had a completely different writing and direction team for season two and it was c**t-FRICKINGLY AWFUL.
gen:lock was already garbage from the first episode.
It wasn't fricking season 2 though.
>Their livestream basically implied that they want to be a part of the contract
Thankfully that's not up to them.
Hopefully they aren't moronic enough to keep them on if they do reboot it. I can only hope the community doesn't support them.
>wanted to write Weiss stuff and share it in the threads
>series is dead
>threads also dead
Maybe the IP'll get sold, rebooted, and then things'll improve some day. RIP.
If Zaslav were a kind man, he'd keep these morons locked out of the bidding process to make the deal amicable to any buyers.
>If Zaslav were a kind man
The dude ok'd Velma. What did you expect?
Just use Wattpad you simpleton
They just want to keep their jobs most of all. Kerry wants RWBY to end in HIS way, he only cares about his job. He knows he screwed up, he just doesn't want to admit it.
Not to mention him and other CRWBY members are trying to get the public's pity in a sad attempt to keep the same crew. Pic related.
>They just want to keep their jobs most of all
Studios always need spellcheckers.
>Kerry wants RWBY to end in HIS way
Being . . . ?
Frick them they don't deserve to keep their jobs.
Imagine the offspring.
Pure Hyperborean stock.
It would be an army of 10 feet tall god emperors.
Nah
I think blonde girls should end up with blonde boys.
And make blonde children?
Yes. Blonde, tall, strong and attractive.
I thought the series was really boring. I watched season 1 and started season 2 then I just couldn't be bothered to finish it. The fights made no sense and Blake was insufferable.
>I watched season 1 and started season 2 then I just couldn't be bothered to finish it.
Good. Honestly anything after that is much worse.
I can’t wait for RWBY to be rebooted with Jaime as the protagonist.
>Jaime
Jaune's trans brother?
Also reminder that Blake is a fricking princess, a literal one so her drama about muh racism was beyond moronic
To be fair, there were nobles in the 19th century that advocate for the republic and even card-carrying socialists
Bro, they made it seem as if she used to be a slave like Adam
RWBY is infamous for the constant retcons. Like Blake saying to Ozpin that she knows to fight because she grow in the streets but later we find out she was a princess
Technically what she said is that she grew up "outside the kingdoms", which is sort of true, since Menagerie isn't considered a proper kingdom for some reason(even tho they have one man in charge, which is much closer to a real monarchy than the other 'real' kingdoms anymore)
It's probably much smaller than the main kingdoms, but RWBY sucks at establishing any sense of scale so who knows.
It's virtually uninhabitable and ringed by highly aggressive Grimm, Australia style, so it's still shitty and violent compared to the actual kingdoms.
That also describes Vacuo and they still get to be a kingdom.
Reminder that Vacuo had a Faunus for a ruler during the great war but nobody ever mentions this when talking about historical racism, that one of the big kingdoms was ruled by a non human
RWBY's muh racism plotline was hilariously half-baked. One of their protagonists was literally a top 0.1% b***h, and somehow she ended up being less privileged than the muh racism character and never even saw in person the guy who had his face branded with her dad's company's logo.
The racism plot has always made me giggle because if you've ever met a straight man, the idea that cute girls with bunny ears would get bullied is hilarious.
Do you think cute black girls are what stopped racism?
Cute black girls are much more rare than cute bunny girls.
>the idea that cute girls with bunny ears would get bullied is hilarious.
>Every damn fanfic has that scene
Be more original you frickers
Yo is that shirou?
> Cardins face when unlimited blade works
Cardin should have made the ear thing oddly sexual. Velvet made for bully domination frankly.
>Cardin goes from bully to HMFF enthusiast/sex pest
>twists ear
>*Bunny Moan*
>"Bro why do i have a boner"
You think I wouldn't bully cute bunny girls?
Not only did Weiss never actually have to confront any kind of racism against faunus, she did still have to deal with discrimination and assassinations from faunus, making her ironically the victim of the racism plotline.
Weiss should have stayed racist for longer than she did honestly. It would have been funny. Like maybe not to Blake, since they are friends and "she's one of the good ones", but as a general bigotry of low expectations thing.
The show is vague on important stuff like whether it's legal to have faunus slaves, so a minor lore tidbit like a long dead headmaster is likely to fall through the cracks.
I mean it's realistic, women and minorities still cry discrimination when they are allowed in any position of power
Because no one ever thinks about Vacuo.
I looked up a synopsis of the show
Seems moronic
Sienna is the goat faunussy
>Team RWBY is now homeless
What would they do to get money?
Ruby's been streaming since they've gotten out of Wonderland.
According to that horrible 2nd comic crossover with JL, they're living in the Bat-Cave, now.
>Damian gets to be /ss/'d by team RWBY
Lucky
Quit watching porn, dude.
No
They have a ton of options to avoid homelessness.
People who will be literally eaten by demons if they refuse, probably.
Well global communications are still down so it's probably not common knowledge. Come to think of it, one of the last things most people in the world saw on TV is Yang breaking Mercury's leg. She was never really publicly exonerated for that, so most people's reaction to seeing her should be "oh no it's that crazy b***h".
I completely forgot about that, it would be fun y to see Yang be constantly arrested for a crime she was exonerated of.
>I completely forgot about that
So did the writers.
>Who in their sane mind would hire terrorists that destroyed two countries?
The CIA?
>tfw the CIA was aware of 9/11 and similar plans to attack the USA with hijacked planes
>Or prostitution, which is probably the answer you were fishing for.
play videogames on the internet and post nudes behind a paywall like every other mid 20s woman
Film Yang forcing Ruby to lick her feet
Lesbian Brothels
>Jaune and Jessica are the best thing to come out of the lame crossover movies
I'd be totally okay with Jaune moving to the DC universe since the show is shutdown.
Just have him show up in Jessica comic runs as a supporting character to her, with a big sticker saying "featuring Jaune Arc from the hit show RWBY" and no one questions why he's there.
He's going Turbo
Man frick you.
I love how the RWBY team becomes NPC's every time Jaune takes center stage.
It's because Jaune is genuinely a better character. This is not to say Jaune is a good character. He isn't. But he's better than those cardboard cutouts.
Well, characters like Livewire and Harley herself migrated to comics from their animated versions.
I fear Jaune isn't popular enough for that (again, bar some animations, it's the same for Jessica ).
>I'd be totally okay with Jaune moving to the DC universe since the show is shutdown.
Dunno, would he be a normal guy or a knight themed hero? I don’t think DC even uses Shining Knight nowadays, but, it's kinda obscure enough to make Jaune related to him.
Jaune deserves a pistol. Wait, imagine Jaune going to DC means he learns to do some dante-type shit with his abundance of Aura
Assuming aura works in the DCverse at all without some contrieved excuse.
I think you could make him a vigilante type, but, unless they give him a gunblade, I think sword & shield are his most recognizable gig.
>featuring Jaune Arc from the hit show RWBY"
Do the people that actually buy comics care about RWBY or Jaune? Because then you'd get another movie situation
No, that's just the usual Cinemaphile Jaune dick sucking. Realistically if anyone was ever to have a chance of actually crossing over to DC it'd Ruby.
Better example would be how Wildstorm characters integrated into DC. They could do the same with RWBY.
Insane that Watts of all people managed to survive the RWBY universe by uploading himself into DC.
That is the stupidest looking weapon I've ever seen, excluding the ones drawn by me.
Do these girls ever get any dick?
They are all lesbians so no, though Blake is probably used goods and has been dicked
>Weiss
>super gay
She’s honestly the straightest one in the entire show, she was practically salivating over Rusted Knight Jaune.
Blake too
>last season is BB but it's also the stealth knightshade season
Based RWBY not being able to do anything right
Such an ugly haircut, and I can't still believe how the white streak on his hair was muh character development, just that because like Ruby he went back to the same since "frick haters"
Oh god, look at her eye, someone saw this one and thought the job was done.
>frick yeah, I'm proud to be a cuck
Should have kept the beard. Made him look like Geralt of Rivia
They should have kept him with long hair at the very least. That banana haircut was a mistake.
Long hair is for homosexuals.
*nordic cimmerian warlords
In times past long hair may have been fine, but in the modern age it's been completely ruined by homosexuals.
Jesus had long hair anon. Do you hate Jesus?
What part of "Long hair was fine in the past" was unclear?
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands.
One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Cimmerians were not Nordic. They were explicitly dark of hair.
>
I'm willing to be you're closer to that image than I am anon. Odd reaction though.
>Nordic
>Cimmerian
Read Howard you moron, these are contradictory descriptors.
>Cimmerians=pureblood descendants of Atlantis
>Nords=Descended from degenerated snow apes who devolved from humanity and then re-evolved.
Fricking casual.
>Salem: “Create a giant boulder over Vaccuo”
>Ambro: “Sure thing”
>*Creates a boulder that floats and will never fall*
But Cinder used the staff to kill Watts so so much for that.
I think currently the logic is Salem can’t nuke Vaccuo off the face of Remnant with excessive force because she might accidentally kill the maiden.
>accidentally kill the maiden.
really matters? She has all the time in the world, she can kill a maiden and find her replacement.
Him and Raven's styles were my favorites with Ironwood coming close
So if Yang and Blake get married and want to have babies, would they call the their respective fathers to impregnate the the other?
I remember people unironically arguing that the food fight made them relativistic, fun days
Should have been an actual sparring match between the teams
>they got into gacha banners
>They knew that pretty characters sell
>Still choose to do ugly frickers and gay shit
It's what happens when you huff your own farts too much.
>Blake decided to go into hiding after leaving the WF
>just wore a bow, didn’t even change her name
>despite the fact that googling “White Fang Founders” would probably bring up her parents names
What a stupid kitty.
She's a cute autistic moron that needs correction.
>the academy teaches history about humans and faunus, no one recognizes Blake.
>weiss's family is harassed by the white fang, weiss doesn't even know the founders of the bastards.
The whole situation is very ridiculous.
Beacon Academy is comedically bad at vetting student entry. It's the entire reason Jaune gets to be a character.
It needs to end with the members of team RWBY having children and raising nuclear families
End it with Renora, WhiteKnight, RoseGarden, and Bumblebee ships happened and they all have kids who are on a new team together.
Cue new show, RWBY: The Next Generation.
>RWBY: The Next Generation.
Yeah, because that shit worked so well with Bort, Jon and Damian
>Bumblebee
That is not a nuclear family anon. And they sure as frick can't have kids. Not without intervention.
>Bumblebee
Do not encourage gay propaganda
RWBY in its entirety is gay propaganda
Jaune donated his semen.
Directly. Blake was squirting mating juices all over herself when Jaune had the armor on.
>rosegarden
I vomited in my mouth
A reboot would be better yeah. Preferably one where the original creative team is kept as far away as possible.
I don't care if the ending sucks, I've dedicated a decade almost of my life to shitposting and complaining about this show. I deserve closure.
Everyone looks ugly as frick and bloated in Maya. For me the style peaked in 3.
It got smoother but everything else was shit, the fight sequences specially since now they all look like shitters with only Jaun being decent
>So what does everyone think of the animation between the volumes 1-3
Looks like it was made in blender over a weekend
>vs 4-9
I hate how they changed blake's design in later volumes it doesn't fit her color theme
Blake was so pretty in Poser. Probably most lovely of the girls.
Her ribbon looks stupid
Straight fricking facts
It's so weird that Monty's ghetto rigged poseur suite animated so much fricking better than Maya. Like that hair is nothing special but it at least looks like hair and animates as such in Poseur.
That ain’t the fault of the program, but the people using it.
The worst fights in RWBY were the ones at the end of Volume 5 when they just had a bunch of characters standing around in a room. You could tell they had no idea what to do without Monty, and hadn't figured any of that shit out yet.
To be fair, that was Gen:Lock's fault.
how do you figure?
The creator of Gen:Lock was RT's animation director at the time and apparently funneled an inordinate amount of resources to his pet project to the detriment of everything else, including RWBY.
And it failed spectacularly.
Someone post that one image of Gen Lock.
This pic was from after RT fired Gray and sold off GenLock to HBOMax and the Dragon Prince guys.
It was honestly the most fitting punishment for Gray after he fricked over the entire animation project to get his dream project made. He gets ousted from the entire industry and his forced to watch as his beloved baby, that he did all this for, gets raped to death for everyone to see.
Gen:Lock was alright by RT standards, but Season 2 was a train wreck of biblical proportions. I've never seen anything like it.
Absolutely bizarre that RT had virtually nothing to do with that mess and it was all done by the same people who made Dragon Prince.
I actually like Dragon Prince but GenLock s2 might be the worst piece of media I ever consumed.
RIP.
>they allegedly started using naked models from v9 onward.
It's probably fake, no character received a new design, only Jaune, but he went back to his previous design in the last episode, I mean, they're on a tropical island, but they're still wearing their winter clothes, at least take off Yang's stupid jacket!
>Yang's
The potato sack will never stop being funny, it was probably done under some pathetic reason like stop muh male gaze since she's a dyke
From what I remember it also wasn’t until the change to Maya in volume 4 that they allegedly started using actual storyboarding and such.
This explains a lot.
Vol 3, actually. Shane complains about it in his letter, noting how it gave them less freedom for cool stunts.
Do you think they will guilt trip whoever buys RWBY to still get creative control over everything?
I really hope not. But I'm getting very used to being disappointed.
How will they guilt trip potential buyers when they are the reason the show is so shit?
They will use the morons that made them go broke to show that the show is still alive, super popular and that they just needed TWO MORE WEEKS- I mean seasons to get the money back
>crunchyroll
Didn't they just declare bankruptcy or something?
What? No, Sony bought them so its gonna be even more woke lmao while costing more
>According to a service update from Funimation, the price for a new Crunchyroll plan will increase from $54.95 a year to $99.99 a year starting January 28, 2025.
Barb should do only fans like Blake's va to raise funds clrly
I still can't believe you can find Gavin's girlfriend's ass and breasts online. What's with narcissists like Idubbz doing the most cucked thing possible?
Low self-esteem.
Like what this anon posted
They already are trying to get the public's pity when it's so obvious they just want to keep their jobs. Maybe if they didn't make the show so awful, actually listened to their audience, and stopped circle jerking each other, then MAYBE still have their jobs
RT are genuinely roaches and it's disgusting.
>actually listened to their audience
They did tho, the wrong morons that don't buy their stuff but they did
Do you think whoever buys RWBY will have the balls to say to RT'S face that they're the reason why the show declined so hard?
Yes because they'll be the ones with the checkbook.
How mad would Cinemaphile be if whoever buys the series makes Jaune the protagonist?
Not mad at all.
Milfs love jaune
Ok, honest question: is there a knight in the actual Wonderland tale?
I thought Rusted Knight was just Jaune inserted in the story with the clock tree and Juniper alluding to Jaune being also the wacky rabbit.
Most because the draw of RWBY is it's cute girls being heroic and not loose. Enlightened fans like me know that Jaune was never a bad character, if anything rolling Oscar into his character would have been better for the story and allowed for Lancaster more naturally.
You mean he wasn't?
It would be a good change, Ruby works better as a secondary character than as a protagonist.
I say this because they write her as stupid when she is the protagonist, but when she is secondary she is much more mature.
The problem with making your protagonist super competent is that all of her arcs are about her being stupid.
Wasn't the protagonist? That is to say, he was the only character with a coherent arc.
Has anyone translated what Blake is scribbling about Adam here?
That HAS to be gibberish.
>"Is Jaune with you?!"
>"No"
> 🙁
Man she really did want him to cum inside her huh.
Where is this from?
The second JL crossover movie where RWBY ended in that world this time and mostly known as the last animated RWBY stuff
Thank you
I'm sorry I don't follow warnerslop as closely as you.
Does someone have a pic of Joker and Harley from that? I heard they had a cameo or something.
Rwby JL part 2, you casual.
>it's Joever
God I hate Weiss's hair
Her hair is my favorite part. I just wish it were modeled better. I'm a sucker for braided ponytails.
Is there a single member of team rwby whose design did not get worse in later seasons? Seriously they all got downgraded.
I feel like Ruby’s designs have all been pretty decent, at least in comparison to the others.
that cyborg design is a disaster.
sex
For her, the last time she saw him, it was three days ago.
Ruby said they met JL weeks ago.
Added to that, Jaune was in EA for 20 years or so. He probably barely remember about her.
Wait, is that what this joke about the whole time? Patrick's ass?
BWC stay winning
>I wanna finish what I started
?si=ZZyfGI907DwkQ5_F
Bitch, you don't deserve shit after wasting time with literal nothingburger seasons
I've never watched a frame of this show
However, JLullaby
Neither did the writers if the last three seasons were anything to go by
cringe
>denied her series
She was given her series and she ruined it.
>she
she is not real, this is the fault of the co-creators.
Yang's massive yangs.
This is by and far her best outfit to this day.
Wrong
Honestly it had more than enough time to finish. If it gets a finale chance and honestly I don’t think it deserves it, they should just use that season to wrap up the show.
Pic related was what I expected the series to end or some timeloop like FF8
Apologize
>Jobbed to the jobber squad
Hell no
His plan was moronic, how is stalling against an unkillable, magical monster with an ever-growing, actively evolving army a good strategy?
>how is stalling against an unkillable, magical monster with an ever-growing, actively evolving army a good strategy?
When the alternative is to fight said unkillable monster and definitely lose because lol unkillable, then stalling seems the better choice.
Yang: “But you’re huntsmen and huntresses! You can’t back down from a fight!”
bump
Imagine fricking up muh racism as hard as they did
Anon they're lefties. They genuinely think the "racism" they did show is worth starting a race war over. It's not that they failed, it's that you don't share their moronic world view.
>Main anti racism girl is literally a nepo baby who has done nothing but frick up since S2
>Faunus have an entire kingdom to themselves, doing pretty well
>White fang are explicit villains and not ONCE we actually get a reason to care beyond blake moralgayging
>The one guy who has a point is portrayed as a mass murdering terrorist lunatic, gets shat on hard later on and dies like a b***h against nepo baby
>Even blake eventually forgets about the faunus after getting some blonde human pussy
>Every faunus is either treated perfectly well by everyone else or a crazy terrorist who the protags WOULD be perfectly justified in killing
We're reaching isekai levels of unfortunate implications, if i knew nothing about rwby i'd completely believe someone on the team was actually racist with much they fricked it up
I'm pretty sure more people subscribe to Velvet just being into being bullying than Cardin being racist at this point.
?si=H9MyUQvd3JZG9BBE
>The most asspull powers of all, being able to copy weapons and fighting style
It really didn't make sense unless, as you said, she's into it
>power
No that's just how her weapon works, her power is that she can memorize a fighting style just by seeing it once.
This image has elicited more sympathy from me than the entirety of the Faunus subplot.
>"We couldn't do it right because we were 22 year old white guys."
One can only wonder what their excuse for everything else was.
sauce?
>managed to drag Burnie back to write a new final season of RvB
>company gets shutdown
Man that’s kinda funny.
>RvB
What's gonna happen to that anyways? They used MS's assets so it's legally theirs
A fricking cat, Yang?
Shouldn't this be racist Ruby with that dialogue?
Silly, racism is only between members of the same species.
Humans and Faunus are the same species.
>Humans and Faunus are the same species.
"BLASPHEMY!" -Ruby Rose-
Why do some of you think they're going to sell the IP. They'll just let it rot in a vault while they squeeze existing merch for all their worth.
>Why do some of you think they're going to sell the IP
wishful thinking
Because the modern media industry is desperate for IPs that it can try to milk for money. They don't really create anything new anymore we just get the latest round of slop for existing franchises or re-imaginings of older hits. Someone will look at RWBY and say "hey there's a franchise with an existing fanbase that I can exploit" and it'll get picked up. Contrary to
I'm not hoping it will happen. I dread it. RWBY wasn't good, but if it gets a revamp I guarantee it will be worse.
I've already resigned to no one picking the IP and Warner sitting on it for the rest of time.
>Warner sitting on it for the rest of time.
While that's certainly possible they want to do live services games so RWBY still has a chance, they should change the writers tho
It’s pretty obvious they’re selling it.
Unless you misspoke and meant to ask, “Why do you think someone will buy it.”
There's no way genlock and rvb will get bought. One is a colossal failure and the other's glory days are long gone along with the franchise it was based on.
If I had the money to buy RWBY I'd reboot it.
Wait long enough and you will have the money, cause the price will drop til it's affordable.
How?
I'd rip off Naruto and have it be about Beacon Academy fighting other schools as a proxy war for real world power.
Ruby would be cute but also a fighting prodigy who has a dark side and can take things too far.
Yang would stay the same, hell, I'd even keep Bumblebee(I think anyone who is actually rebooting the series would have to do the same or be crucified)
Blake is still Shitty Kitty but faced actual discrimination, Adam isn't an insane hypocrite just an extremist.
I'd make Weiss more of an ojou complete with noblewoman's laugh.
>I think anyone who is actually rebooting the series would have to do the same or be crucified
You'd be surprised with how few beegays really are. They only won because the VAs shilled for their pairing.
All the same, they'd be accused of gay erasure, even if everyone is tired of lesbians
>even if everyone is tired of lesbians
If a nip company gets the license, Bumblebee is guaranteed, since that has a built in yuri fandom. Likewise, Whiterose would be *the* main ship because of how popular it is over there.
Dude, Japan never takes lesbians seriously, it's always comedy, they know that they sell more with the harem with any other romance.
Also, the Japanese don't give a shit about the opinion of American or European fans.
RT hasn't turned a profit in at least a decade since they were bought. i'm surprised it took this long tbh
RT failed because of moronic decisions by the 'creative' side such as telling fans 'If you son't like it then leave' rather than adapting to what people want'
Was it rwby specifically or was it all of rooster teeth acting like a noose around jts neck?
RWBY
For reference it costs like 30K to make like a minute of RWBY. Your favorite texan anime has been a multi-million dollar investment on RT's part every single year.
>30K to make like a minute of RWBY
HOW?! What is the breakdown on that, it sounds like they were getting robbed.
how much did Verbalase spend on his Hazbin hotel commission? Pretty sure it was less than 30k per minute
Quick search says 50k
This is hilarious taking into account that moving 3D models around is easier than traditional animation.
Considering how many side characters there are I wouldn't be surprised if a big chunk of that cost is making new models.
I'm almost certain their production pipeline was seriously fricked up somehow.
nta
But I remember it being mentioned in the commentaries that scenes are animated out of order and are essentially sent into the pipeline randomly.
That sounds incredibly moronic.
It's RT we're talking about anon. Monty himself was very autistic.
probably both.
RT keep pandering to their worst fans, and those fans kept pushing newcomers away with their shitty attitude.
>and crossover with fricking Persona
RWBY had a cross over with persona?
BBtag.
I forget that game exist
That game was the only reason I ever played Undernight and Persona. I never got around to actually playing it or any other BB game.
One of the four base series featured in BlazBlue Crosstag Battle along with BlazBlue(natch), Under Knight, and RWBY.
rwby is not popular in any way in Japan.
It's not popular in the west either.
Keeping Bumblebee is fine as long as something is done with it and it receives the proper amount of time, not too much, not too little.
Also there needs to be a joke about Yang dating a woman who looks like her mom, perferibly while Raven is in the room.
Frick bumblebee, that was a terrible forced ship.
>I'd make Weiss more of an ojou complete with noblewoman's laugh.
Give her drill hair and you've got yourself a deal.
Drill ponytail.
Drilltail.
SHE DIED FOR NOTHING LOL
SHE DIED FOR NOTHING LET"S GOOOOO!
Don't be silly, robots can't die
It’s still funny how they made the effort to turn her into a real girl, just to kill her permanently the next episode.
Like they really wanted to ensure that this time there will be no rebuilding her, just a painful murder-suicide pact.
>"Wow, to think we made up a reason why she could be killed off permanently as a machine and STILL found a more permanent way to kill her off after rushing her Pinnocio implications!"
>"Now how many pieces of Penny merch can we mark you down for?"
Figmoe Lurker won.
Lord Garithos won.
That's all that matters.
At least we still have the porn
Team RWBY's war on the Salem has come to an end but Team RWBY's war on our wieners will be forever
>V9 Ruby literally erasing herself and being replaced by a completely different character was a very real possibility people were considering because having your final beacon of hope break down and end herself would've been par for the course by this point.
It made me incredibly hard. All of Ruby's breaking down plot in V9 was great. I love sufferkino.
sufferkino is good but the payoff was shit due to Ruby not changing in the slightest at the end of it
Because that was mostly a "frick haters" moment and the answer to the ones complaining about jer not having character development
>penny is a little b***h.
Twice
THREE times.
Happy memories shitposting in /rwbyg/ during Volume 1 in 2013.
GEN: Black person was a mistake.
RWBY's best writing was the interactions in Cross Tag battle
RWBY was never good.
And nothing of value was lost.
TOTAL
GINGER
DEATH
If you could reboot RWBY from the very beginning, what are the main Watsonian and Doylist changes that you would make?
I'd scrap the overarching plotline and implement an episodic, monster-of-the-week format
>Watsonian
None lol
>Doylist
People only watched this show because of CGDCT with DMC fights, this format means I could churn out endless content, make bank from tie-ins and merch sales and avoid any controversy as long as the episodes themselves are passable.
Well i'll be damned i found a Ruby fic that would have probably fixed Vol 9 not even 5k words but damn....
Link pls?

Ruby gets a much better talking to when the Worm gives her a toke
Interesting choice to use Adam.
>Remnant's Nightmare still hasn't updated
Grim, it never even got to beacon.
I had better not be some shitty porn thing.
rwby in a nutshell
No that's Adam in a nutshell.
Its the white fang subplot in a nutshell
Which is a rather small part of the show all things considered.
Adam being well-intentioned Magneto-esque figure was always headcanon.
sorta related but i think the remaining bits and bobs of this program (mainly the v-tubing staff) are a lil’ on edge post WBD walpurgishnaut
i just dropped a small bit into a questjin I forgot I asked a while back an’ they kicked me out to the curb
>WBD walpurgishnaut
The frick are you talking about?
that thing where WBD shuts down things and stuff
Are you high right now?
nope
No we'll never get to see Ren land this super cool move that would totally one-shot anyone if it ever hit them.
I would take back everything bad I ever said about RWBY if he did one of these as the final blow to Salem.
Imagine the memes.
>RiceCatapult 100% mastered not happeining
Renbros...
>the little show that couldn't
>denied her series
She had 9 seasons. If that's not enough then that's her own fault
Which would be the best ending?
4 because it basically takes us back to Vol 2 where the Grimm are the main threat but criminal groups are around instead of everything being Salem's fault
