I can't draw bro
You missed the point.
>download blender
>rig some simple polygons together
>use fill paint tool
>use default render options, don't do any post
A few weeks ago, this would have netted you some small success among people watching ironically, like Ratboy Genius, but now TADC has changed the game.
milking autists is the new way to get cash
Let's see an image then
See OP image.
Yeah no, show me an image YOU've made. Show me it is as fricking easy as just plopping down shit you know nothing about and somehow getting a fricking appealing cartoon.
No. I make money off my art and I'm not wasting it to make a point on Cinemaphile.
Nobody gives a shit about your "original" stuff.
You just said you can download a random model and stick it into Blender, pose it and get Digital Circus out the other end. Get to it.
Why are you pestering me? You do it.
Because I say you're full of shit and if you just stick random models into Blender and frick around you'll get Colin's Bear, not fricking Digital Circus.
Colin's Bear is harder to make because he sculpted and rigged an actual organic animal instead of just throwing some sphere together.
Well then it shouldn't be a problem for you to quickly whip up something that looks like it came out of Digital Circus since it's so easy.
I told you how to do it. If you want to keep making excuses for not doing it, that's on you.
You're such a fricking shithead it's unbelievable. I fricked around with Blender earlier this year, you know how long it took me to get a fully rigged and textured character that looks somewhat acceptable? 2 fricking weeks. And I haven't even touched animation yet.
I fricking hate frickers like you who go "oh yeah nah it's easy just download shit and magic will come out at the end". Fricking end yourself you absolute frickwad lying piece of shit.
I'm sorry, is 2 weeks too long?
A lot longer than whatever bullshit you're trying to sell.
Ok dude.
That’s honestly not that long lmfao and it only gets easier the more you do it. People are insanely impatient when it comes to learning a new skill jfc.
If you look at this and try to copy the skin its wearing without really grasping the system, environment, and era, al, you'll do is waste your time and money.
If you want to do 3d monkey see monkey do stuff, you're better off looking at SavannaXYZ. The formula there is simple character with appeal, copy a meme or someone else's joke, but do it with the appealing character rig. That's the fast, cheap, and dirty approach you want, and it'd have some legs unless it became too commonplace or unless you can't keep up with the rapid churn of viral memes.

You're stupid, anon.
are you moronic? ratboy genius is incredibly niche and also the one even semi-successful series that does what it does. most everything people care about, even independent stuff, clearly has a far higher production grade
It's flavor of the month and the autistic association is heavy.
Keys
>Must be cute
>Simple yet effective
>Vibrant and expressive
These have been the established keys to making an iconic cartoon for as long as the medium has existed, but Cinemaphile will act like this is some new zoomer shit that means the west has fallen and billions must die
I could never come up with a design like Pomni.
so how much does it cost to make an episode of this?
A lot, but start smaller.
in ballpark terms, how much?
I don't know, dude. Start small, build a following, then get funding for a bigger project.
Pulling numbers from other shows, probably around $100,000 for the episode and pre-production, maybe more, considering they had multiple animators and artists working for about a year.
I don't think another person could do it.
There's not a lot of other genuine content right now, which helps anybody, but that's not the big thing.
Gooseworks already has viewers, which essayist and other kinds of content farms want. That means even if the show was "just okay", there's incentive to do content about it to try to capture the views. It's self-feeding in a way, because once it's big enough to be an algorithmic keyword, it's viral.
On top of this, the show has a mild mystery element. It's not a complex or deep mystery either, so anyone can approach it. That's great for content mills and for expanding the demo.
And on the note of demos, kt's a decent show but more than anything, it's very accessible. The characters are simple, the premise is simple, and everything is handed to the viewer directly. Kids get it, adults get it, everybody gets it.
The big hurdle for an aspiring artist is most likely the install base, however. You need the virality and awareness in the first place, and you can't get that on a cold start.
Though I applaud you idiots for taking your meme clown fetish show down to less than 10 threads. You still had 8 others to choose from.
The less popular threads are better because they're usually less moronic. On a relative scale.
the models aren't the best but this show is still incredibly fluid, has a frickton of different environments, and a bunch of characters with weird properties that make them harder to animate. ENA is a better example of something you could actually make in your room right this minute
ENA is too long to make right this minute, and depends on a whole package of surrealism.
Pomni's model is a boy
I can’t draw, my mind’s eye is weak, and I don’t have “the sauce” to imagine cool things. I’m very nearly full Npc
>a show that looks like this
I stg you frickin autists can take the most normal looking cartoon and somehow convince yourselves it looks like shit just to fill your contrarian quota.
/thread
the show got a team of literal professional animators from the industry, anyone trying to push or believe that it looks bad or easy to make is simply moronic
No, I actually agree that the still frames don't look great.
The animation is great, though, so in motion it winds up looking fantastic.
>There is now no excuse to not work on your cartoon
I'm working on my game first. Cartoon comes later.
> another "moron who knows nothing about anything says something is easy" thread
Yes, you SHOULD make your own cartoon, if only so you'll spend less time here
Mate I've worked on five different animated series/pilots for different people over the past couple of years and not one of them made it to the public, and most of them were turning out like shit due to executive meddling anyway. It's simply not that easy, Glitch Productions was just a fantastic entry point for this show because they aren't run by fricking c**ts and don't interfere in the author's vision.
