>that movie was terrible
I remembered the trailer and the news about the main chick dieing in a plane crash back in the day but I never thought much about it. Then a couple years back I saw it for the first time and was instantly transported back to 1999 me. Nostalgia overload. What a time capsule of a film. Outside of that its not great but passable other wise.
>pilot says it's not safe to fly >browbeat him into taking off anyway >Aaliyah is too smart to get on the deathtrap >drug her and kidnap her aboard >die >sue the pilot, the host country, the airport, the manufacturer of the plane, pablo escobar, and president bush, falsify pilot toxicology
honestly, that's just what wikipedia says. It sounds too fantastic to be real in parts, I'm surprised they didn't qualify the part about her being drugged. It's only mentioned once
>alliyah dies in an airplane accident >lead of kindred the embraced dies in a "freak bike accident" that decapitated him >both resulted in no further movies and shows
Why does any celebrity ever fly in a plane at all after the incredibly high number of celebrity plane crash deaths over the years? Just get a tour bus for frick sake.
Crazy to think that fricker was almost Aragorn in the LOTR trilogy, but thankfully he turned out to be moronic and so huffed up on his own farts that he got fired.
Pretty sure it's more than that. They actually have an interesting structure. Each continues the present day story but covers a different vampire's historical origins.
I read up the Memnok The Devil back in the 90s. I enjoyed them. She tied all sorts of actual historical events into the stories. And it was very well written. Not sure how I'd feel about them now, but back then I enjoyed them.
on her wiki it says her spouse was R Kelly from 1994-1995
also she was birthed 1979, and I'm trying to math it but I don't get the jailbaitstatements from the law in the 90s, it was simply another time from today
that movie was terrible
but not as terrible as recent stuff...huh.
Amazing isn't it.
Too HWHITE for me.
Her eyes don't look crooked here

Frick the cokehead pilot that crashed her plane with no survivors
>pilot says it's not safe to fly
>browbeat him into taking off anyway
>Aaliyah is too smart to get on the deathtrap
>drug her and kidnap her aboard
>die
>sue the pilot, the host country, the airport, the manufacturer of the plane, pablo escobar, and president bush, falsify pilot toxicology
What was the game plan here?
Holy shit is THAT? what happened?
Well frick.

>Died August 25, 2001
The real question is why did they want to distract from her death so much that they did 9/11?
>alliyah dies in an airplane accident
>lead of kindred the embraced dies in a "freak bike accident" that decapitated him
>both resulted in no further movies and shows
see, that's a neat effect there. you don't crazy red eyes.
Saddest part is she actually turned in a good performance. Sure it's easy to act circles around Stuart Townsend, but she did an ironically good job.
>And if at first you don't succeed (Oh)
>Then dust yourself off and try again
>TRY AGAIN
This song of hers still pops up randomly in my head every now and then, even after all those years.
Fricking awful.
both songs are about brainwashably repeating the chorus ad infinite, not that strange that we remember them so well
>CGI in a shit music video from 2001 mogs everything Marvel produced in the last 6 years
Anons...

It's much safer and faster to fly
>Just get a tour bus for frick sake.
I bet Cliff Burton wished they took a plane
Is this a Def Leppard reference or a Metallica one?
Metallica. The drummer from Def was driving a car when he lost his arm.
Wait, what? Who drugged her?
I don't know the girl, but I got interested because this song
used to play in the radio all the time when I lived in the jungle in 2012.
The sequel plane of the dammed was better
...wasn't enough to keep me from walking out of the theater. Worst fricking adaptation of a decent book EVER
>Aaliyah was a nervous flier
that's called not being an NPC. Airplanes are not toys. XX century people were fricked in the head
it is SO DIFFICULT to find lean and exotic women
>it is SO DIFFICULT to find lean and exotic women
She was a lot hotter in costume.
Don't black people have a higher distrust of flying machines than whites?
>She was a lot hotter in costume.
so is this mutt
>Don't black people have a higher distrust of flying machines
they do, she was definitely forced onto that plane

Bahaha I did not know this.
Dude refused to do any training, saying that's what stuntmen were for.
How did he even get cast in the first place? His acting skills are atrocious.
No clue. I think he was also fired from Thor as well.
Is this the "interview with the Vampire" sequel?
Anne Rice. I think there were 5 books?
Pretty sure it's more than that. They actually have an interesting structure. Each continues the present day story but covers a different vampire's historical origins.

Too much BDSM and gay sex for me, personally.
I don't remember those parts.
I'd probably drop it now.
>dead at 22
SAFE AND EFFECTIVE
So did David get killed by Marius at the end? If so why? I never understood that scene.
>killed
Nah, he turned him into a vampire.
He had already stated he didn't want that. Why force it on him? Was Marius just lonely and looking for another companion?
>Why force it on him?
He wasn't the type to give people the choice he never had.
Man, Cruise nailed the role so well. We really need to see him do this kind of shit more often, that and Collateral are IMO his best roles.
If she's so smart how come she's dead?
Kino soundtrack
Aaliyah has been my blackfu for a long time before Ella Baliska came into scene, but she will always have a place in my heart.
RIP gurl
Aaliyah got passed around by so many rappers since she was 14.
She even made a song about fricking older men.
