Yes. The 90s had the perfect speed of technology, it had a ton of different types of fashion that were all fully accepted, every video game/movie/show/piece of music/etc. was being experimented with heavily and we got a constant stream of great things because people weren't afraid of trying out different things.

The worldwide economy was also great, politics were pretty relaxed, people just lived in the "now" because the internet wasn't super accessible to everyone, people weren't buried in their phones and social media, news outlets weren't all about baiting outrage 24/7, mass shootings were pretty much unheard of up until the end of 1999 with Columbine, everyone had sort of a free spirit and believed in things like "the American dream" which was actually achievable back then, and so on.

Everything began changing after 9/11. Nothing was ever the same again.

Most news in the 90s was either just tame tabloid/gossip shit, or it was actual reporting on factual things. It was fairly rare that there was any fake news compared to today, where it feels like 90% of news today is just fake news to get clicks/views.

I miss when you had all your friends' family landline numbers memorized and you'd have to call and then some random family member would pick up and you'd have to ask if your buddy was there so you could talk to them.

Or just showing up and knocking on their door asking if they were home.

That kind of stuff built social skills. Nowadays your average zoomer has a mild panic attack if they have to call their dentist office to schedule an appointment.

    There's a quote like
    >everything you experience as a child is how has always been
    >everything you experience as a teenager is new and exciting
    >everything you experience as an adult is foreign and strange
As 90's kids grow up they're reflecting on their youth understanding that there has been an unspoken decline in basically everything from happiness to trust to opportunity to freedom . It's analogous to boomers reminiscing about the 60's. In 30 years we'll have people talking about how great the 2020's were not understanding everything they've lost, because that's how it always was for them.

No, it was early 1700s, way before all the homosexualry that plagued this world. Besides, if the objective was to keep humans on a leash, why not create a setting where the people have no concepts of computers and computer controlled machines like the antiquity or medieval periods.
The constant cycle of the chosen one could be handled through religious persecutions or purges such as a plague or famine.

there was no need for the machines to create a simulated universe for the humans to live in anyway. they could have just used them as batteries and that's that.

They should have been using peoples brains for processing power.
Or the matrix is a nature preserve to keep the human race alive because they are too dangerous to let roam free.

That was the original intented story, that humans were processing nodes. The battery thing was a last minute change to make it more 'understandable'. In my headcanon though they are processors. It totally changes the story for the better.

Funny thing is that concept is the what I view as the essential point of the story too. That people are trapped in a virtual world of their own creation, and their belief (processing power) is what sustains it.

You know "philosopher" means the same thing in British English and Ameritard, right? The reason it wasn't used in America was because you couldn't pronounce it.

Muggle isn't in the title. They were worried about the title being confusing.

They have given up and smoke weed all the time and have no issues with their 17yo's getting tats and other degenerate shit. I am legitimately one of the good ones.

What did they steal? Can you give a specific example?

This only true in times of great change, usually for the worse. It is the norm in human society for your elders to be proud of the younger generation, since they are the culmination of all their efforts. During times of great prosperity elders will often admire the youth for possessing virtues or traits they saw lacking in their own generation. It's not a cut and dry cycle of "hurr the youth are dumb and gay"

It's over Mr Anderson. Globohomosexual will prevail within 2030 and there is nothing you can do.

The Machines were right, the 90s up to the 10th of September 2001 was the peak of human civilisation. It's all been downhill since 9/11. 9/11 was when the globohomosexual agenda kicked into full gear and the plandemic is just Part 2 of the globohomosexual agenda.

So does everybody in the matrix get to live in their own personal simulation of an upscale North American metropolis, or do some people get bad luck and have to live as starving Ethiopian peasants who live a meager existence of toil in between raids from neighboring warlords and get shot in the head at age 27

I’m a zoomer and unironically a 90saboo that dresses like one would back then and mostly only listen to 90s grunge, industrial, gothic, techno etc. I know it’s a bit cringe but I loathe todays music and aesthetics

Pretty good but I'd pick the 20's or whenever they still sold cocaine and heroin over the counter.

He says this was the peak of human civilization because after this it became machine civilization and wasn't really the human's anymore. At least quote the movie in context.

Yes it was because it was before normies knew how to use the internet. There was no social media, there were faceless message boards. There was no reddit, there were communities that you were only in cause you wanted to be in it. Porn wasn't widely and easily available to rot brains. Frick normies they ruin everything.

Reloaded would have been actual kino if Ilsa Strix didn't exist. The movie was good except for all the weird sex shit.
