across the stars is the best piece of music associated with the Prequel trilogy of Star Wars, although Duel of the Fates is an extremely close second and I could understand if someone would put it as number 1

he wanted to morph anakin's theme into the imperial march over 3 films, but he ended up not doing that

It's my favorite. I love most of the music in the prequels, though. It's the one thing I like about the prequels.
