mann only has a few good films. He can do a bit of style but I doubt he can do a political espionage thriller, nevermind the source material is shit at this point.
>I doubt he can do a political espionage thriller
you morons frustrate me to no end because you always insist on talking about shit you clearly don’t have a clue about
“I see that you just defeated one of the BB Unit. Let me just bring the pace screeching to a halt with a 10 minute exposition dump soliloquy about their backstory, because Kojima’s hacky ass couldn’t figure out another way to fit it in.”
>we're not starting with Metal Gear
The problem is how it's presented. The end of Phantom Pain is right before Venom goes to fight Solid. None of that makes sense without knowing what happens in Metal Gear. The games are prequels but they are also written from the standpoint of nothing being made that way.
metal gear 10 minute intro, with metal gear solid as the main plot, followed by mgs3 as the first sequel, then mgs2, then mgsv+mg2, then finish with mgs4
MGS first, it's how la creatividad intended it to be. It also sets up the intrigue for who Big Boss is and makes you want to know more about him, which is where MGS3 comes in. MGS3 is also a nature evolution in gameplay from the foundation MGS set.
It would look low budget despite a huge budget, mid and a shallow facsimile of the existing product rather than using the concepts to launch something genuinely interesting in a different medium. Refute me.
Frick no. The Metal Gear series is one of the most poorly-written works of fiction ever created. A film adaptation would be an even bigger disaster than The Spirits Within.
This guy ruined Altered Carbon. He is a side character actor at best, but he thinks he is a leading actor so he would accept nothing less than lead credit and 1million$ per episode.
He doesn't really fit Donald Anderson's personality, so no. Him as Snake would be fricking awful. Just imagine him trying to deliver believable lines about his Alaskan hobbies and knowledge of Alaskan culture lmfao
Wasn’t there someone actively working on this project? That Jordan Voight Roberts guy? What happened to that? I remember him posting artwork and fake trailers years ago
Well you see Michael Jordan was a black man who once was good at what he does. Therefore it's historically been established, though rare, that it could happen. Next reason.
first christian bale wanted it then when an interview asked him about it he pretended like he didn't know what he was asking
then that moron oscar isaac. same thing "yeah I love snake man" even thought he has no fricking clue about the franchise
and now this is also in limbo, zero updates. not happening
nobody wants to make a garbage movie that's just nothing but stuff kojima ripped of from 80s movies. frick kojima. frick that moronic hack. kamiya won.
>and now this is also in limbo, zero updates. not happening
honestly thought we'd have something solid about it by now. the director posted a shitload of art that was commissioned for the movie/20th anniversary five years ago and he's barely worked on any other projects in that time.
maybe they'll announce something this year with the rerelease and it being the 25th anniversary
Kojima would bust a nut if they let him direct a movie. That's all he has wanted to do this while time, but he has been stuck making video games that are basically movies anyway.
I dont give a shit, I want a Splinter Cell mini series directed by Michael Mann.
Zoomer don't know about Splinter Kino
mann only has a few good films. He can do a bit of style but I doubt he can do a political espionage thriller, nevermind the source material is shit at this point.

Who would he play?
Big Boss
Donald Anderson
Well done
A new character called Broken Snake, formerly Buck
>And who is this new player at our table?
>The name is Broken. Buck Broken...and I'll have a grape drank, shaken not stirred.
Sigint.
10 minute screen time as drebin
genuinely and unironically? idris elba would nake THE drebin, tho i love mackie on twisted metal
That obnoxious arme dealer with the monkey in the fourth one.
I fricking hated that guy.
“I see that you just defeated one of the BB Unit. Let me just bring the pace screeching to a halt with a 10 minute exposition dump soliloquy about their backstory, because Kojima’s hacky ass couldn’t figure out another way to fit it in.”
Otacon
Quiet, of course, Nu Hollywood anon
Sigint or Drebin
Donald Anderson and Peter Stillman are too old for him
Sigint is Donald Anderson/DARPA Chief.
I know, It's all time dependent and Donald Anderson in MGS1 was Decoy Octopus anyways
gray fox
darpa chief.
Psycho Mantis
Naked Snake (Black FaceCamo)
Black Blackman
Solid Black Mamba
would you start with MGS1 or MGS3
and no we're not starting with Metal Gear you hipster homosexual we all KNOW it wasnt your first metal gear experience
probably mgs3 since it's first in the timeline, and normies get filtered by things that aren't chronological
>we're not starting with Metal Gear

The right order is MGS2 -> MGS:PW -> MGS4 -> MGSV -> MGS1 > MGS3
What's that? Play them in release order? That's silly
where does portable ops fit
metal gear 10 minute intro, with metal gear solid as the main plot, followed by mgs3 as the first sequel, then mgs2, then mgsv+mg2, then finish with mgs4

I'm old. It was my first.

They already cast a brown man as Snake
heh heh, brown snake

>Yeah dawg, I dogsled and shit
They are going to combine his and and raidens character, make him a slave child soldier from africa that has been used and abused by the US military.
Donald Anderson is Sigint though
He fits pretty well and gets to be in both MGS1 and 3
Yeah that would be a no if he's the snake
Striking Vipers bro
>Anthony Mackie
He's mid, he needs to do better.
fr dr ong chef boyardee
Ok guys let's cast these movies
Sydney Sweeney as Sniper Wolf
this charisma vacuum needs to stop sticking his head in everything
>ayo those homies have em metal shit chickens homie
I admit I won't watch it.
Wasn’t there someone actively working on this project? That Jordan Voight Roberts guy? What happened to that? I remember him posting artwork and fake trailers years ago
Which character does he want to play? The guy with the monkey?
hes gotta start chillin with kojima then. thats how it works.
true strand gamers would get this
Isn't race very important in this series? You cannot just make everyone black without changing the background of everything.
Sure you can. Name a single reason why Big Boss couldn't be black.
He's good at what he does
Well you see Michael Jordan was a black man who once was good at what he does. Therefore it's historically been established, though rare, that it could happen. Next reason.
You may actually be moronic.
I can't wait mgs movie ends in 3/10 and Cinemaphileirgins outraged, as always has been
nobody wants to do this garbage movie

how would the fourth wall breaking stuff work in a movie?
>psycho mantis reads your netflix watch history
Psycho Mantis guesses your pronouns
I'm sure if you asked 90% of actors in Hollywood if they would like a job they would say yes.
>Zesty “butthurt wypipo exist” Black wants to reverse-colonize Metal Gear
Shocking.
No thanks.
