When will people realize it is quite literally impossible to make a cartoon with female leads good. How many more years do I have to see some bargain bin garbage about women and their problems? You couldn't even just let Tuca and Bertie stay cancelled off a streaming service I don't have and can ignore, no you had to get the rights, revive it, and then constantly show and promote it on TV instead.
I don't care if you like hearing about women crying about sex, cussing at men, and talking about their periods. Other people want to watch normal entertainment.
Its impossible to make a cartoon with female leads pants-on-head hilarious because what male audience laugh at and find humorous is much more different than what females find humorous. Male audience tend to enjoy comedy that makes pain and offensive remarks funny. They also find it funny if male characters get themselves hurt a lot. Female audience apparently enjoy random and quirky type humor. Writers for comedy female-led shows are usually careful about how the females get hurt so the show feels more sensitized than male-led comedy shows.
I don't mind female-led shows, but comedy is overall a weak point. But hey, there are different forms of comedy. Its just not my cup of tea to watch female comedy because random and quirky isn't my thing.

Japan does it all the time, I think most manga/anime series people gave a shit about last year had female leads or at least enough of them in the supporting cast to end up with at least one woman doing something in every scene, and each of them getting a character arc.
Maybe the problem is that western adult cartoons are about being a depressed wagie in California and that only men can have the sort of autism that makes it funny, while any gender can ride an 80-ton mech or fight wizards and look cool doing it.
