Do you still get family shows like this? Kids laugh at the faces and situation here, adults laugh at the subtext.

of course, the early show is almost always better than the later seasons on TV

Francis made her give birth on her lawn

Nah, the only reason her parenting is redeemable is random genius in the family. And it's not like she's creating the genius by having them listen to Mozart in the womb or educating them herself, it's just random. She's just an incubator for Hal's secret formula.

Malcolm, Reese and Dewey are all geniuses in their own domain. We are unsure about Jamie, but still 3/5 - Lois must be doing something right, unless it's all Hal

I feel like Frances had his own genius too him. He was able to take any environment he was in and make it work out for himself.

Frances was unbelievably charismatic. If he had a little direction he would probably be a senator. A lot of others in his situation would just end up homeless.

He was great at the ranch, they just made up a dumbass excuse to get him onto something else. His character arc is pretty great.

I think they moved him from the ranch because the actor who played Otto died.

Otto was my Cinemaphile crush and few times jerked off to him. I still wish i could marry someone like him

Yeah Otto was also the voice of King Triton in The Little Mermaid.
The guy who played Commandant Spangler died too in a really sad way.

They didn't need to kill of the character as poorly as they did. Francis isn't a genius but he never came off as so moronic as to mulch money, if anything his ranch shenanigans showed Otto/his b***h would have been the ones to do that

Yeah Otto was also the voice of King Triton in The Little Mermaid.

              >in a really sad way.
Dying alone in a house after a fall is sad, that was fricking depressing

Francis has street smart, this is why no matter where he was, he was able to adapt quickly and survive. reese is talented but not genius and maybe dewey falls on that same branch, only malcolm is smart but lacks talent

She yelled too much, that was the approach to resolving conflict which was justified sometimes but isn't effective at preventing future shitbag behavior
The show didn't really explain why those 4 kids were so prone to doing horrible things, it was their default behavior in any situation to be chaotic and destructive. This usually is done by kids who suffered from abuse but hal and Louis weren't exactly abusive just reactionary and poorly equipped

Raising 4 boys is quite a handful, I was friends with some kids that were 4 brothers and it was wild, their house was just destroyed. Their mom couldn't keep up with all the shit they wrecked.

      >Why would a child with 5 boys be wild
I had an Aunt who tried her hardest with just 3 boys and shit always got wrecked. Its just their nature.

        Did she have a husband?
That was Lois' problem. The dad is supposed to be the disciplinarian but Hal was a non entity. It was functionally a single mother household.

they were all boys with an almost small age difference. also both parents work plus they inherited hal's genes

i really love how they established that Hal will have his rebellious rebounce if Lois leaves him, almost like Hal was always a beast and Lois can only tamed him making their romance hold such strong bonding

Francis was the best. He was sharp and had a strong sense of justice and would never take any shit, but he was also Costanza levels of hilariously petty and vengeful. Such a well done character and way better than dumbass Reese, cuck Malcolm, and autismo Dewey

the entire show, Francis had an extensive but consistent character development. he went from rebellious teenager to responsible adult instead of becoming a lost cause

    >Constantly be on his ass to get him to study and not goof off
    >Son has multiple chances to get rich for his genius but is manipulated and gaslit into backing out of it
    >Son has multiple chances to go out on his own and make something of himself but is kept at home on a leash
    >Ultimately is not only groomed but CHALLENGED to be president so that he can give handouts to the lower class and his family can coast off of his success instead of his parents getting better jobs and leading by example to be a better person

Thanks mom. Happy to see that TV perfectly emulates a family dynamic and mentality in the ghetto.
