a 1990s prime time network TV show that, for a few months, aired at the same time as Cheers. it's about a murder mystery in a small American town. it's good, but don't overthink it.

It's a lot to take in. It ranges from really gripping drama and mystery to over the top bullshit soap opera theatrics. Some of the stories are fantastic, and some are full on moronic. It's always interesting if nothing else.

A lot of it won't make any sense to you so don't try too hard to understand all of it. Just relax and watch it. Only film school dipshit hipsters try and analyze the symbolism and meaning. A lot of it is just Lynch jerking off like he always does.

You also can't beat the setting of a small town in the PNW so enjoy the view too. And I'm not just talking about the ladies of Twin Peaks!

You know that old rule that you should watch three episodes to get a sense of whether you like a show or not? There's probably no show it applies to more than Twin Peaks.

I can't imagine the person who really didn't care for the pilot but got really hooked after the third episode. Wasn't the original airing of the pilot kind of notoriously the big television event that got everyone hooked right off the bat? Were viewers just more kinosseur back then?

I've watched David Lynch's movies before this.. and I have to say, only the pilot has David Lynch stuff in it and that on a budget.. the rest of it is just a normal plot that rationalizes everything as logical, especially from pilot, which sucks.

Out of 30 episodes, only 5-6 are watchable, the rest is soap opera garbage. But the show is still worthwile because it introduces you to the masterpieces that are FIre Walk with Me and The Return.
