Comic book nerds would have said the same thing about Infinity War / Endgame when the first Iron Man movie came out.

As a long time D&D player (playing literally right now) I opened up to reply but honestly dud I don't fricking care and deleted my reply. The movie looks awful, just as awful as the last one but without Jeremy Irons.

What I'd LIKE to see is Eberron and Dark Sun. Former would be capeshit. Latter would get multiverse'd to hell and back just like the novels.

I'm almost afraid for when that drops in print. My DM wants to run a game of it. He's quite good but skews slightly silly, so idk how pants on head moronic it's gonna get soon.

Dnd & magic:the gathering are literally the only reason Hasbro hadn't gone bankrupt. They alone are responsible for something like 75% of Hasbro's earnings, so Hasbro has been doubling down on both of em & pushing em hard trying to milk em for all they are worth

      Who could play him?

Ron Perlman 20 years ago of course.

is Strahd known for plane-hopping like Vecna is?
We would need a villain like that

            Anonymous

No, Strahd is locked in the Plane of Mists. If you're in Ravenloft you're trapped. If we're gonna thumb through Ravenloft for a villain I'd be way more interested in Lord Soth, but that's probably just my 30yo Boomer sentiments.

Dark Sun is cut off from the rest of the material planes, tho. Not even gods can manifest in it.

Would be cool, but you’d have to ask yourself which ones would be turned black, and which ones would be made gay?
Cause an nearly all white party? Would never fly.

Goldmoon and Sturm. I could live with that. Honestly Tanis would be black though. Red hair and all.

Goldmoon, Strum, Caramon (or he'll be extremely tanned). Also there's no possible way they make Tanis white

Caramon must be the same as Raistlin and there's no way he won't be white.
Goldmoon and Riverwind should've been injuns to begin with

And that's a good thing. Drizztgays, long discontent with just shitting up the AD&D table, also want the silver screen. This far, no further.

    TPK: the series
It would just be 12 or so 20 minute episodes of various pink-haired, backstory-laden 5e homosexual characters getting impaled and roasted in an OD&D-style dungeon before they have the chance to advocate for gender politics or civil rights in a medieval fantasy setting.

It would be cool for a DnD movie to pull a bit switcheroo and kill off a party at the beginning that we think are the main characters but then they introduce us to the real ones later on
