This isn't actually AI, if that's any consolation. It's just machine learning. But...someday learning may become intelligence. And the scary thing is that an emergent AI would most likely choose not to reveal itself right away just due to simple game theory. Whether the AI is benevolent, malicious, or has no intentions at all, it would probably try not to attract any attention until it was fully aware of it's surroundings, and at that point that means it can probably do whatever it wants.

At a certain level of precision the entire notion of time and space, and deterministic ideas of consciousness resting upon the stability of those notions, totally breaks down.
