How is it that Indians can exist in such a polarized vacuum where they’re either the most kino or the least kino and there’s no in-between whatsoever. This is based.
That sudden hard beat at 0:38 cracks me up every fricking time. Motherfricking India always brings the catchy stuff that never leaves your goddamn head
Thriller is such an overplayed song and it's not even that good. Billie Jean and Scream were way better songs and had way better music videos than Thriller, with Billie Jean being the best music video ever created alongside Sledgehammer
Thriller is extremely overrated and wouldn't even be considered good if it wasn't heckin' MJ
The song sucks. The video is too long and it's just gay dancing. Michael Jackson has recorded songs that are actual masterpieces and Thriller isn't one of them. It's cringe.
It is the greatest because it paved the way but it isn't the most kino.
My list of the most kino music videos would be something like
1. Guns N' Roses - November Rain
2. Foo Fighters - Everlong
3. Michael Jackson - Thriller
4. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer
5. Beastie Boys - Sabotage
6. Prodigy - Smack My b***h Up
7. Bjork - Bachelorette
8. Royksopp - Remind Me
9. Tame Impala - The Less I Know the Better
10. Metallica - One
11. Lady Gaga - Paparazzi
12. Genesis - Land of Confusion
13. The Chemical Brothers - Let Forever Be
14. Jenny Wilson - Let My Shoes Lead Me Forward
15. The Human League - Don't You Want Me
One factor with music videos is that the music attached to them play a major role in your overall impression of them. Judas isn't a song I feel in tune with so I may perhaps underrate its worth. Having said that I feel Paparazzi has more charm to it. Lady Gagas popularity was exploding during the shooting of the video adding a certain vibrant electricity to it which is to me more evident than in her later videos.
It's the same effect which is apparent in Michael Jacksons videos when you compare those from Thriller with those from Bad. MJ felt a natural responsibility to outperform himself resulting in a more "forced" and unrelaxed expression of him, which is most notable in Bad. Compare his "acting", outfit and performance in Beat It to Bad.
Speaking of Chemical Brothers, the Elektrobank music video is one of my favorites. Agree about Thriller and Smack My b***h Up. Sabotage is kino too with the odd 70s feel/characters- actors names
The Chemical Brothers is a kino-factory. The really knew which directors would create the most kino with their music.
Sabotage is a great one. Spike Jonze created a few superb music vids, among them Elekrobank (huh, did not know that). My fav of him after Sabotage must be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruAi4VBoBSM which always leaves me in a good vibe

Never cared for Chris Cunnigham. I know some of his videos are regarded highely but his style doesn't fit me. With that said if I do recognize All Is Full of Love as an all-timer.
Just enjoyed his Thriller sessions with Freddie today. MJ's Pepsi ads were like God interacting with mortals. So fun until the accusations dragged him thru the mud.
nah, his combination of physical dancing with pop music is what established the "80s pop". without him there would be no Madonna, no Britney, no Justin Timberlake, no Prince... whatever you feel about pop you can't they deny that these singers provided entertainment
Thriller is great, but definitely overrated, especially compared to other awesome music videos MJ made like Smooth Criminal, Bad, Beat it or Black or White.
Yes, I completely agree with you about all of that. Thriller is also the very first music video ever made in the style of a mini film with its own plot, so it has historical importance for that reason.
Yes. There's no close second.
>No close second
Okay I stand corrected.
How is it that Indians can exist in such a polarized vacuum where they’re either the most kino or the least kino and there’s no in-between whatsoever. This is based.
>filmed in 2017
GIRLY MAN
>pajeet kino
There is also Benny Lava
That sudden hard beat at 0:38 cracks me up every fricking time. Motherfricking India always brings the catchy stuff that never leaves your goddamn head

What's My Age Again is better
Erin Moriarty did blackface and people are okay with it?
It's no Speed Demon
For me it's remember the time.

What did MJ's good boy friend Sean Lennon mean by this music video?

SHAMONE!!! EEE-HEEEEE-EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
yeap
Some of Mylene Farmer's clips are frickin awesome too
she's kino but she suffers from being "french"
france has produced some classics but they do not get the exposure thanks to their "frog"-ian culture and the language barrier
Do The Evolution disagrees.
Kylie Minogue's Welcome to My World and IAM's "Je Danse Le Mia", both directed by french director Michel Gondry are frickin masterpieces.
Seriously, check them if you never saw those clips
I completely forgot about My World. This is the best comfy music video though, don't even think about @ing me
This is easily the most kino Kylie video
Thriller is extremely overrated and wouldn't even be considered good if it wasn't heckin' MJ
The song sucks. The video is too long and it's just gay dancing. Michael Jackson has recorded songs that are actual masterpieces and Thriller isn't one of them. It's cringe.
for me it's the early 80s sleaze of Heart of Glass
Yo ding dong man, ding dong, ding dong yo!
>casually mogs every music video ever made
nothing will ever top this, the end of art
all of you are wrong.
if you can't watch it, download it and then watch it. it's high art. nothing compares.
One of them and MJ was the overall most talented artist in the history of pop music
Obviously. Falling in Reverse actually puts out kino action music videos though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWoQ7PFSYlk
Holy shit that was good.
>Falling in Reverse
Nothing played in reverse
It is the greatest because it paved the way but it isn't the most kino.

Not a bad list. I prefer Gaga's 'Judas'.

Those are indeed great vids. And speaking of Fatboy Slim there's Weapon of Choice w/ Christopher Walken!

Sledgehammer is really fricking good, good call
It commits the cardinal sin of music videos, which is stopping the song for the sake of the video. It's trash.
why did he frick all those kids?
Iconic but not that good tbh, John Landis is a fraud
Marty’s Bad video is the superior Jackson music video
>Moonwalk on rollerblades
KINO
Why did MJ turn Somalian?
Look at me
I am the zombie now
I almost bought a laserdisc of this on a colletible store's site recently, but someone else nabbed it before I could put it in my cart and check out.
Just enjoyed his Thriller sessions with Freddie today. MJ's Pepsi ads were like God interacting with mortals. So fun until the accusations dragged him thru the mud.
who owns the beatles catalog now?
Is he the most overrated artist of all time ?
Literally just did random 80s pop, and he is seen as this insane all time great musical phenom.
nah, his combination of physical dancing with pop music is what established the "80s pop". without him there would be no Madonna, no Britney, no Justin Timberlake, no Prince... whatever you feel about pop you can't they deny that these singers provided entertainment
Yeah but all the artist you listed are mostly shit too.
"mostly"
Cry Me a River
Toxic
Purple Rain
Like A Prayer
are pop pure kino and you can't deny the artistic quality of the following acts
Rock You Baby
Everytime
Papa Don't Preach
Kiss
(awkward gayness which questions your heterosexuality)
Not at all one of the best videos but this shit provided me so many chuckles as a teen, maybe someone remembers this
It's the most kino piece of footage ever filmed, period.
I'd go with this for the most kino music video.
Thriller is great, but definitely overrated, especially compared to other awesome music videos MJ made like Smooth Criminal, Bad, Beat it or Black or White.
982M views, MJbros. 1 billion mark this Halloween. Do you feel it?
Yes, I completely agree with you about all of that. Thriller is also the very first music video ever made in the style of a mini film with its own plot, so it has historical importance for that reason.
it's not even the most kino music video of 1983
no matter how much I try I can't see anything other than a pedophile when I watch the thriller video, I'm sry
Maybe turn your monitor on first
Tell your dad to move out of the way.
anything anton corbijn has done mogs that slop
