We just watched Immortan, Nux, and the gang riding eternal, shine and chrome. The females except furiosa were totally forgetable, a mcguffin at best. No one remembers their name, they don't die historic. They are cargo items.

Funny thing is, she will probably have to do the same thing as Joe. Sell water to Gas Town in exchange for fuel and to other cannibals in exchange for ammo... especially if she needs allies to defend her settlement. Funny how she will become just like Immortan Joe. Except that women will get more privileges of course and they'll probably stop selling milk.

Subtle world building and amazing practical effects, shot on location, real cars etc. New furiosa might be a great movie but the obvious and poorly done greenscreen on the trailer means I'm not going to see it.

Why was it such a big deal to send water to the neighboring camp (gas town)? They are not that far apart, especially they could have gone to meet the truck. There's an army of them there, they should hardly have been afraid that someone might attack and they wouldn't be able to cope.

It's an interesting subtlety. They probably take the babies away from these women, the doll in her hands is like a substitute for the baby. She probably strokes it and it makes her produce more milk.

So everyone seems to think it was Furiosa or the wives who wasted the water at the end. But I recently watched the movie and when the aquifers are opened, Furiosa and the wives are still on top of the lift. Who opens the water handles are actually the milk mothers.

Directing, staging. Huge number of elements in the frame, natural shooting, explosions, endless race. You can't name a second movie that was so heavily directed except Apocalypse Now. Fun fact that Miller refused to use 3D cameras, even though Warner Bros. insisted, after two expensive 3D cameras were destroyed during filming

Females are inherently good and everyone is aware of that. Females are powerless in society, especially post-apocalyptic society. All problems in society like crime, violence, shitty politics, etc are caused by men.

EVERYONE is aware of this, that's why these films are enjoyed by the mainstream.

i'd argue that lots of the male "bad guys" aren't even presented as bad, they're just presented as on the other side to the heroes. like this guy for example seems to be loyal, competent, brave, and has a whole mini arc where he learns that he's been betrayed. there's nothing evil or bad about him and it's sad when he dies
or the bikers seem to be totally honourable and have a legitimate grievance
