Annoying hearing cops complain about the risks of their job. Why did you choose to do it then piggy? Same vibe as the child who cries after touching a hot stove when they were warned not to. I remember an old game on... shit, I want to say PS2? You were this little girl in a castle and you would set traps to kill the guys that would break in and try to murder you. You got multipliers for chaining them together into a crazy fricking Rube Goldberg machine of death. Like a swinging mace trap would knock a guy into a spinning blade trap, which would throw him down to a lower level, and a moving statue trap would spear him and drag him along the ground until he got caught in an iron maiden and died.

I don't remember the name of it but I remember having a fricking blast.

There's people that have killed home invaders with shotgun boobytraps which are illegal but the charge is technically assault with a deadly weapon or manslaughter or something because they didn't directly cause the device to kill them at the time, the victim did.

Because if it had been anything but murder, basketball Americans would've done another 2 billion of property damage.

Former defense litigator for the Walt Disney Corporation here. Technically Jigsaw can be charged with trespassing because many of his traps are set up without the explicit permission of the property owners, albeit many of them are abandoned so squatter's rights could be applicable here and knock his felonies down to minor misdemeanors. As for killing - I doubt that would even go on the indictment and Jigsaw's could probably talk it down to a manslaughter with time served and probation meaning he'll only be in a jail cell for a few months, at most. Keep in mind - and this is important - the man is elderly and suffering from cancer and acted in what he thought was the best interests of his clients (so-called "victims"). The man is clearly in some kind of legal gray zone that would have the prosecution tied up for months trying to figure out what to even put on the indictment. Considering he could drop dead at any moment, they would probably drop the bulk of the case but try their best to slow him down by attacking him with every possible civil fine imaginable, but the man is a wealthy engineer and easily pay it all.
