Breaks continuity with the films.
Jedi council realistically wouldn't have allowed it since they didn't trust him from day one.
She simultaneously adds nothing and takes away from the core focus of the Obi-Wan/Anakin/Padme dynamic.
Anakin having a padawan is something that should have only been explored in a non canon format.
>She simultaneously adds nothing and takes away from the core focus of the Obi-Wan/Anakin/Padme dynamic.
This, I still don't understand what her purpose is to exist within the overall narrative. She's just s self insert character meant to unecessarily broaden the demographic and it shows. Why do you think she talks like a snarky teenage girl instead of the usual subdued cadence of regular jedi, especially since she was raised by them from near birth? Really breaks immersion.
>Why do you think she talks like a snarky teenage girl instead of the usual subdued cadence of regular jedi
Lucas's request, along with the tube top and mini skirt.
This. While I like Ahsoka, I don't consider it to be part of the 6 films but more of an alternative what-if story. Even before Lucas left it still made sense to have her included in the main saga because she went to do her own thing so it was explained why she didn't appear in the films. After Lucas left they went full moron with it so now Ahsoka was one of the main people who formed the Rebellion, lived past Vader and interacted with Luke.
>don't consider it to be part of the 6 films but more of an alternative what-if story
It isn't, because all of it was created by Lucas, as far as TCW goes - his SW story is 1-6, TCW, Underworld scripts and whatever he had in his sequel treatments with Maul and the Whills. >so now Ahsoka was one of the main people who formed the Rebellion
She wasn't, though. Where did you get that, unless you are deliberately lying? She was one of many agents working for Bail Organa. She did not form anything. Padme, Bail, Mothma and the delegation of 2000 formed what would become the rebellion. Ahsoka joined Bail one year after RotS, when he had already formed a large network and was keeping tabs on other cells.
Everything Disney does can be considered a what-if, but your complaints are not entirely fair.
>It isn't, because all of it was created by Lucas, as far as TCW goes - his SW story is 1-6, TCW, Underworld scripts and whatever he had in his sequel treatments with Maul and the Whills.
Yes, if Lucas had his way. I doubt he wanted Ahsoka to live as long as she had since Dave only threw her in Rebels because people wanted to know what happened to her and he didn't have the balls to kill her off then. >She wasn't, though.
She was one of the main contributors.
>Everything Disney does can be considered a what-if, but your complaints are not entirely fair.
No Lucas, not canon. I don't have to like it.
>Yes, if Lucas had his way.
He had his way on TCW. She was always going to survive that show after they had finalized the story outlines for seasons 6, 7 and 8. >Dave Filoni: There was some discussion with George that Rex would be involved in the Rebel Alliance. We had some discussions about that towards the last season. The conversation I had with George about Ahsoka was mainly pertaining to Vader, and what would she know, what wouldn’t she know, because it was George’s feeling that she survived Order 66. So I made sure to discuss with him his feelings on that, and then I’ve made choices since then.

No, she wasn't. She was one of many people who contributed. You don't know what you are talking about. >No Lucas, not canon. I don't have to like it.
Sure. The only Lucas canon, as I said, is: >his SW story is 1-6, TCW, Underworld scripts and whatever he had in his sequel treatments with Maul and the Whills.
>noooo I've got to shit up the board because I'm a moron
gays like you give a reason for the troony jannies so STFU and get the FRICK BACK IN YOUR CONTAINMENT THREAD
at first i thought it would be shit and the first episodes confirmed my doubts about her but after they changed the direction i really liked the idea and ahsoka as a character
she was a good friend
Yeah, I always thought it was weird. Stay with me on this: he was barely allowed to train in the first place, he probably showed darkside blips the whole time, and then he gets a padawan
I mean, I like the show an everything, but just gave that factoid a pass cause frick it, star wars. Cgi serialized star wars
They can't just introduce a character like this and then have anakin continue thirsting after boring senator pussy, it has to happen of course but it's just weird
Why did Anakin have such a deep persecution complex when he was already a knight with a padawan by the time he was 19? His fricking master had to stay a padawan until he was a grown ass man of 25 years, and even then it took his master's death and killing a Sith to get the promotion. Frick man, Obi-Wan's hair may have been long enough by that point to reach his ass unbraided. Talk about lack of respect.
It's pretty much because everyone knows how skilled and high Anakin's potential is, even Anakin himself, and they continue to purposefully hold him back.
Imagine having an IQ of like 300 since you were born, but aren't allowed to skip any grades when you know you can be doing something more with your time and intellect to help people, and the greatest, most secret of knowledges you can find to do so are locked away unless you're the dean of your own college, even though you already possess the proficiency and understanding needed to aqcuire it by the time you're out of high school.
A Jedi Knight same as Obi-Wan and a good friend?
I don't see anything contradictory.
Obi-Wan was a Jedi Knight and had a pupil. Obviously, Anakin could have had a pupil too, since he was also a Jedi Knight. It is a common practice for Jedi knights to have apprentices. The only reason Obi-Wan mentioned Vader in ANH was because Luke asked what happened to Anakin (Anakin and Vader were different characters at that point).
Anyway, Lucas knows better than you what to do with his character and which ones to create.
>Lucas knows better
Doubtful, since he turned Anakin from a nuanced, tragic character to Han Solo with a lightsaber, which I assume was due to backlash since he's a pussy with no spine when it comes to "his" creation and what people think of it.
No, not really. It's called having dimensions. Lucas said it himself: the films dealt strictly with his fall to the dark side, there wasn't much room for anything else. The only time he got to show anakin as a good, normal person and a hero was in TPM, and he wanted to explore more of this. The Clone Wars allowed him to do it. It is literally the same character, just with more dimensions. And yes, since Lucas created this character and Star Wars, he does know better. He never "backed down", in fact, he doubled down on politics and midichlorians and the whills in The Clone Wars, and did plenty of experimental stuff like the droids lost in THX-1138 void.
People who b***h about clone wars unironically know nothing about star wars and George Lucas.
No, I don't mean that. You don't understand the character. My condolences.

No, it wasn't.
It was a parallel universe that he didn't consider his story, as he said billion times.
He didn't reference shit, he just saw a concept art of Aayla Secura on the wall, a hot twi'lek in midriff, and put it in the movie, not the stories she was in. Coruscant name is irrelevant, because Had Abaddon, an Imperial City planet capitol, was created long before Zahn.
Just like he was going to take Darth Talon and make her Old Maul's apprentice in his sequels, 5 years after Return of the Jedi. Needless to say, it would have been Talon only in name and looks, since her story would have been drastically different and she originally lived 200 years post-RotJ, and all of the garbage post-RotJ EU shit would have been wiped out, just like Clone Wars EU was wiped out with his Clone Wars.

Even if Lucas considers the EU non canon, he had no problems allowing it to exist in tandem with the release of the prequels and sure as shit had no problem with it being stolen from in TCW, which speaks for itself.
Go ahead and throw another textwall of mental gymnastics to the void to justify why nobody can surpass Lucas in his own game, FiloBlack person, but the truth of the matter is Lucas has always relied on greater talent to make things happen.
She had more integrity leaving the order -- it was a good example that ultimately plays into his redemption heel turn against the Emperor with Luke. He probably regretted not doing the same in protest over her treatment, and rationalized it as duty to the fighting men, and finishing the war (and all the prophecy bullshit)
Why?
Breaks continuity with the films.

Agreed.
Not to mention it feels like he cares more about her than his own wife.
IMO if Anakin were to have a padawan, they need to die before or during the events of RotS, preferably by his hand.
