How can a movie be so fricking divisive? What can it contain to make some people downright hysterical?

Just from the trailer it looks stupid as frick, how about that??

it's a big budget, massive scale, auteur-made, truly independent film. ~~*they*~~ are afraid. Same thing happened to the prequels.

Also it deals with themes of beauty and ambition being suppressed in favor of brutalist practicality, which I'm sure the leftist journos found deeply offensive.

My impression from the trailer and everything I've heard about it is that it's so ambitious and out-there and earnestly swinging for the fences that I want to see it and I doubt I'll be bored or underwhelmed, but it also looks sorta half-baked and pretentious and full of bad dialogue and stuff. Which is to say it's probably divisive because there are really good things about it and really shitty things about it

I'm always glad when movies like that manage to exist though, especially on such a large scale as this seems to be

        >but it also looks sorta half-baked and pretentious and full of bad dialogue and stuff
It seems like one of those movies that has a very oddball unnatural style but succeeds in its total commitment to said style, but still offputting in a way that people either love it or hate it. Kind of like Donnie Darko.

It's ambitious, idiosyncratic, and asks some uncomfortable questions. Some critics compared it to Southland Tales, another masterpiece that didn't get the credit it deserved.

Man shove your DEI up your ass, Megalopolis is not DEI and why are you even against this movie? Just stop working against the movie to make some shitty Quartering tier joke.

This movie needs to succeed because it is good and evil people are against it. People who work against Whites hate it, this movie is specifically talking about The White Experience of the future.

a 9 from ign is like a 7 from anywhere else.

  5. 3 weeks ago

The reason they gave it a 9 is because IGN staff are a bunch of homosexual leftists and the movie has a scene where they burn a MAGA hat. That’s it. There’s nothing more to it.
