The first 3 were legendary 4 & 5 were great
6-8 good 9 was mediocre. What I hate about season 9 is how they decided to get political >8 years of just laughs and innocent fun >Season 9 "what if we do a womens liberation Arc"
Andy Griffith came up with the idea of Ben Matlock loving hot dogs just so he could have an excuse to eat a hot dog in every episode. By the end of the series he grew to hate them...
It might not be fair. I never liked Matlock enough to give it a chance (watch 3 consecutive episodes or something similar). I'm just a fly on the wall in Mayberry RFD. (Floyd was kind of a disturbing character)
Floyd the barber? He died before the last season of AGs .. did they replace him in RFD?

My grandad actually met him once back in the 60s when he stopped to get gas at grandad’s station out in the middle of bumfrick nowhere on the coast of NC.
some hoodlums spraypainted the statue in Mount Airy to look like the Joker about a decade ago and one of my favorite radio hosts went crazy and offered a reward to find the punks that did it so they could be imprisoned
