Does that one legally autistic female YouTuber still make videos about this? Not a knock against her, I can relate to being passionate about a cartoon that other people don't like (to talk about) as much in Cinemaphile.
Sometimes I wonder how autists choose their fixations. Is it just random, they get big obsessive feelings over it, or do they go "Hmm I'm gonna be an Angela Aneconda Autist" or does it have to do with things introduced during childhood?
We don't. If something resonates with us, we just never let it go and tend to become really knowledgeable without it. I could talk your ear off about David Lynch movies and Suda51 games for hours, and I only got introduced to them in my late teens.
My parents didn't get divorced.
But my dad knew I was excited about pokemon and figured that I would like this Digimon movie just as much.
I'd never actually watched Digimon before. But I had seen more than enough Angela Anaconda.
I can only imagine what my dad felt when he turned to me and saw me making this face less than 3 minutes into the movie.
To reference another dude, this show is overhated for the wrong reason. The Digimon short shown before the American movie was the wrong move. if you were to get a mass audience who didn’t know what SpongeBob was and show them the worst episode of the series, the general consensus would be >SpongeBob bad
Angela Anaconda is an ok cartoon, not a game changer but not some pariah. Fox Kids just shot themselves in the foot by doing a bad short, ruining the show’s reputation
Is that shoe on head or whatever her name is? I don’t actually know who she is or what she does but I think it has something to do with Nernie Sanders. I just think she’s cute.
I don't remember actively disliking it, but I think it was pretty much a "only watch it because nothing else is on" show. Also, it's funny how many people mainly associate it with the Digimon movie.
It was just a thing that was on, I'd not actively watch it but if it was just on TV before a show I wanted to watch or I was eating dinner in the living room then sure. It was just another weird Canadian show. Its funny all the weird shows as a kid I later found out in life were all made by Canadian studios. They produce some odd stuff.
>Its funny all the weird shows as a kid I later found out in life were all made by Canadian studios. They produce some odd stuff.
It's kinda like how you can tell how old a movie is by the type of film used for it. Even if you don't have any concept of how film works, you just subconsciously make the connection between era and quality.
I don't know what it is about Canadian shows.
But something about their production stands out, and even as a kid you can internally tell that they are all cut from the same cloth.
There's a certain low budgetness about them, but not low budget enough that they'd be considered low budget like some of the shit American cartoons. But you can tell their budget isn't as high as any other American studio. In fact I don't really know if Canada has a big animation studio?
But yeah they don't really make big franchises or serious stuff, mostly filler shit that can be placed on during dead hours or when there's a free slot. I've noticed they make a lot of unserious, kinda silly shows, and a lot of slice of life shows. Never anything like a Gargoyles or Avatar or Batman the Animated Series where its something more serious.
Its like how you can always tell British shows because they REALLY play up the accent, and they're all mostly educational or are geared towards younger children than older children.
>dumb americans only talk about muh Digimon and muh youtuber >while I watched in on Estonian television in a Russian voice over that seemed like it was translated via google translate and laughed my ass off from the absurdity of it each time
Glad I got it better.
Yeah they tried to make out Ninette or whatever as the villain but she was just rich and kinda snobbish and thats it. While Angela was just a real b***h to everyone for no reason, she wasn't nice to anyone at all so its like, no wonder Nintette hates her. Usually in these types of cartoons the bully character is just an butthole to the protagonist for no reason but Angela constantly seethed over Nintette and prodded her.
True, and not only that Angela had all these fricking bizarre and intricately sadistic fantasies about all the ways she would make Nanette suffer. And for what exactly? Not worshiping Angela and the ground she walked on, or having her own opinions?
Angela just comes off as fricking psychotic and her friends seem totally devoid of personality who let themselves get pushed around by her and are only there to affirm Angela's delusions.
And the worst part of it is that the show plays this off as good, that Angela's behavior and seething misanthropy are justified. We're all supposed to laugh her sadistic fantasies and adore Angela for "being so creative, what an imaginative child, oh how quirky she is" when really it's just bitter, vindictive and obsessive.
This is why Angela Anaconda sucks both as a character and a show.
>We're all supposed to laugh her sadistic fantasies and adore Angela for "being so creative, what an imaginative child, oh how quirky she is" when really it's just bitter, vindictive and obsessive.
Yeah. And what are you gonna do about it, moralgay? Cry on twitter?
Yeah that's basically what I picked up on even as a kid, like this was supposed to be someone's self-insert revenge fantasy and we're not seeing the full story. Because I had a friends just like that, who seethed at Chad and Stacy for not giving them the time of day, and would grow up to become whiny edgelords and backstabbers with way worse personalities than the so-called bullies who had offended them.
MY NAME IS ANGELA HEY HELLO
AND YOU ARE NOT
NANETTE MANURE IS A STUPID THOT
WELCOME TO MY VERY OWN SHOW
Haven't seen this show in 20+ years but the intro was so fire that parts of it are seared into my brain.
digimon

She is cute
Is she the anaconda girl or something? Uncanny
>the whole discussion is just these two stale boring memes
Lame as always.

Was getting pinched on St Patrick's really as big a deal as she made it out to be?
>wearing orange on Saint Patricks day
Dirty protestant deserved to be pinched
No, we didn't even wear green on St. Patricks day at school. It wasn't even an acknowledged thing.
It was in my schoolhouse days.

What is this?
Canadian
*American
*North Montanan
Just another proof that the day of the rake can't come soon enough.
Canadian slice-of-life cartoon that used an odd art style. It was actually pretty comfy.
the voices were ungodly
this
i dont really get where the hate comes from
as far as i can recall it was a pretty inoffensive but quirky SOL show
Apparently it's all coming from mutts because their cinemas played some AA short before the Digimons Movie or something like that.
Remember that Angela broke a marriage
I miss AmazzonTHICCKane's Angela videos.
Gray dicky
Who's she?
Is that shoe on head or whatever her name is? I don’t actually know who she is or what she does but I think it has something to do with Nernie Sanders. I just think she’s cute.
wtf
>"Angela Angela! Please do not shoot s'il vous plaît!" You will beg me. "No mercy, NANETTE." I will tell you, while tightening the grip on my M1911.
every cartoon i watched growing up has made me hate french ppl
you watched the right cartoons then
Isn't Ninnypoo actually supposed to be a jab at Canadians who act like they're French?
There's no expiration date on shame anon, this show was hot garbage.
Don't worry, anon. I'll be embarrassed enough for the both of us.
I don't remember actively disliking it, but I think it was pretty much a "only watch it because nothing else is on" show. Also, it's funny how many people mainly associate it with the Digimon movie.
My parents got divorced over that damn movie.
Yeah, you already said that joke in previous 50 threads about it this show. Ha ha, how funny.
It wasn't funny it was the worst day of
my life.
It was just a thing that was on, I'd not actively watch it but if it was just on TV before a show I wanted to watch or I was eating dinner in the living room then sure. This b***h can't even do her own intro without seething over some other girl she hates.
Rent free, as they say.

Yeah. And what are you gonna do about it, moralgay? Cry on twitter?
Angela is the personification of a moralgay. She would love to inflict human suffering on others as long as she feels justified.
Sounds like somebody on the writing team had some childhood issues related to a rich, blonde girl in their school that they never managed to work out.
Yeah that's basically what I picked up on even as a kid, like this was supposed to be someone's self-insert revenge fantasy and we're not seeing the full story. That's the problem, you should be.
