Frick is anyone supposed to see what that is?
Sorry, here you go https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=GwkJnxyfmhsGflXI&v=0dYQWZalGWk&feature=youtu.be

Sorry something doesn't add up here.
The promo isn't very good lol
It's kind of vauge, not really sure exactly what they're selling.
The name is weird too, it doesn't really describe what the company is for. It's kind of undescriptive in a funny way.
So it's....just a bunch of stuff I can already watch on YouTube for free and don't really want to because it's all reddit humor?
>has a long ass cringe Rick and Morty humor bit at the end telling people to click the link in the description
>the link leads to a website which only has this video and doesn't elaborate on what this actually is
Dead on arrival.
>flashgitz
Seems every big indy youtube animator/animation team is getting together to be on one website? If they ask for a fee they can frick right off.
Pretty much.
For all of it's faults YT is the biggest and most accessible platform for creators.
>For all of it's faults YT is the biggest and most accessible platform for creators.
It won't be once they start putting ads directly on videos
People will make an add on that automatically skips parts with ads or sponsorships
They’re saying ti’s a streaming service, of course there will be a fee
Cool. Cant wait to steal their content.
It's literally free and already launched. Mostly a bunch of shit titles I don't care about. The only thing I was interested in was Happy Tree Friends since that was in the trailer and it's not even on there yet
never watched the cyanide and happiness show but i bet it's dogshit
I mean, I am very limited on stream services as I pay for none but Samsung TV Plus requires you to own a samsung device correct?
No, I was just able to make an account and I got access to the service
How, every god damn link just leads to Samsung TV Plus Live page...
So it’ll be like nebula. That has creators post exclusive videos under a subscription , but they also supply their free channels with separate videos.
Stuff like this feels more like a co-op where creators support each other to supply a service and then revenue from that is split.
It's a samsung subscription service, so literally no one is going to watch it. The only promising thing they have is their website mentioning some super secret project which might be an original cartoon for the service but that's it
pfft hahaha
Bro what if Barney got murdered
why did you post yourself
oh no normalgays hate it
DEATH ON ARRIVAL!
Imagine trying to sell your new platform with FlashGitz and MeatCanyon
They literally complained about everything becoming a streaming service like 2 weeks ago
>Day Job
Kino
Here are the titles currently available
>The Big Lez Show
>The Cyanide & Happiness Show
>Salad Fingers
>Sassy the Sasquatch
>Purgatory
>Umbilical World
>The Donny and Clarence Show
>The Mind of Lars Lazarus
>Bridge Kids
>Dudes of Hazmat
>The Best of Cartoon Box
>Fantastic Funny Fart Compilation
>Monster Lab
>The Mike Nolan Show
All under Samsung's Adult Animation category
terrible
Flashgitz and Meatcanyon really bring the whole fricking lineup down, Massive one trick ponies , although flashgitz is way worse they can't even do more than 3 voices or animate beyond tweens and shit, this is doomed
lol this is so shitty they literally just cropped out the merch advertisement did MeatCanyon even approve of this
They aired Bridge Kids and bleeped it to hell and back
So it's just VRV 2, with less shit?
Machinima isn't dead?
It seems like the service started airing on samsung a couple days ago, but they just showed old copyright-free cartoons instead of any of their content. Someone caught it and recorded a bit
Who the frick would watch this? Does it have any new originals? Are they accepting pitches? This seems it will die faster than Quibi at the rate it's going now.
They're keeping the originals a secret for now I guess
lol
Is this whole thing just a pseudo TV network that streams already uploaded YouTube videos? Why would anyone use this? Why is the logo so obnoxiously corporate?
As of right now, yes. They didn't even bother working with the creators to edit the videos for the service, MeatCanyon's merch advertisements are horribly cropped out and Explosm's credits are awkwardly positioned on the left since that's how they were made for YouTube since the right shows an upcoming video. Besides that the only other edits I believe they made are cutting out all of the Patreon supporters in Bridge Kids episodes and censoring all the swear words in the live broadcast of the channel
Reminds me of Fiyah TV from a few years ago, which seems to be dead now
https://www.thewrap.com/animation-plus-streaming-service-samsung-launch/
>Animation+ Studios is developing new originals and plans to launch a premium service with over 10 new original half-hour series, 11-minute series, feature-length projects and video games targeted for 2025 premieres
According to a document online this is some of the planned original content for Animation+
>Ted Bear: Survivalist (ExplosmEnt.)
>Cyanide and Happiness: The Movie (ExplosmEnt.)
>PBF Comics Animated Series (Jester Animation)
>Relic Seeker (Meat Canyon)

I hope they got the budget for 10 actual projects and not it's not just [as] but shittier and everything gets like 4 episodes.
The feels like the son of an executive at Samsung convinced his dad to make a streaming service for him and just hired every animator he was subscribed to on youtube
Some of the people involved are cool so I guess I hope it doesn't fail miserably but I honestly can't see it going any other way
It feels like a quantity over quality approach, if they're getting all of these people to make new shows for them. They'll probably be one season of six episodes each, and I'm being generous.
One of the staff is a former Explosm manager and it seems like Explosm is heavily involved with this service. In which case they probably have tons of money to throw around since Cyanide and Happiness has literally been running forever and has tons of merch
>I wouldn't click that if I were you.
good to see marc getting a lot of voice work
I wish his music was featured in more things
>Happy Tree Friends
>Dick Figures
>Baman Piderman
>Salad Fingers
HOLY KINO
So do you think this is gonna take off or will it flop?
Flop
depends on which generation has the most disposable income
why pay for something that is already free?
the service is free as stated already in the thread, so the only way they'll get any money at all is through ads and since this is on samsung I imagine they take a cut of the ad revenue. Literally the only thing they have going for them is fans being interested enough to come to them instead of YouTube. They wanted Psychicpebbles and Viziepop but it seems like they weren't able to get them
Why would they give this the most generic name and generic design possible? Like, c'mon, have a little flair to show off you're supposedly a platform for experimental adult animation.
What would you name it?
I mean, to be honest, animation plus is a decent name if you wanna be known for animation, you could call Cartoon Network generic too but they're literally THE network for cartoons, or at least, used to be
You got me there. CN had to build its reputation before it started incorporating their characters into bumpers, advertisements, and everything else.
>cutting out all of the Patreon supporters in Bridge Kids episodes
Man...that's kind of scummy. I could understand why they would cut them if these streaming services have strict time slots, but surely there must be a way to include them somewhere?
I guess at night they air stuff that isn't on demand
they're airing the mario shit, imagine if Nintendo found out about this
what a moronic pointless exercise in futility, create a playlist on youtube you Black folk
Are Brother Chaps involved in this or Not?
I don’t think so
You don’t think so
probably not, part of the reason they rejected most offers for TV is that they love the creative control being on the internet provides. And they only did Two More Eggs because its fricking Disney and saying no to that is insane.
this is pathetic
>Dickfigures.
Wait what, DF is coming back? Or is this just indie animation shilling?
here's the email they just sent out
guess they made skits for this service too between cartoons
recorded four of the skits, I missed one about an employee pulling his pants down to show the logo tattooed to his butt though
these guys literally don't give a frick lmao, explosm copied their promo tweet from flashgitz and didn't even bother changing the @ list to not include themselves.
best bet is some exec with an ng obsessed kid ordered this. Internet animators are willing to go along with any compensation for licensing already free internet cartoons that have long ceased being lucrative on youtube's algorithm
are they trying to make an animation only machinima?
I don't know if that's a good thing
