Or at LEAST someone who comes up to a little past Hayden's fucking shoulder?
Why do they have her modeled aterf a very specific iteration of the character's history when she's not even remotely in proportion
No, both actresses don't know how to make good moves with the lightsaber, and Filoni has a problem as a director, Star Wars is a fantasy universe and Filoni is making the Jedis fight like normal people, it's very boring to see Ahsoka in live action because Filoni doesn't know how to make her fights fun, maybe because Filoni didn't grow up watching Kung Fu movies he doesn't know where to put the camera and develop a good choreography and make the fight look fantastic with the Jedi using their powers and to make the scenes even worse he uses the MCU style with lots of cuts, Rosario Dawson doesn't know how to do some fun moves with the lightsaber and that's is unforgivable, Dawson fights for this role and doesn't do the basics, she doesn't have any lightsaber skills and I don't understand why Rosario Dawson has that Mona Lisa smile all the time, just like Bo-Katan they both carry a lot of sadness from their pasts
Filoni's mistake was not to use stunts to make scenes like this, but to intercalate them with deepfakes.
Oh hell naw
Almost every translation of a nonhuman to the live action format has been terrible
Rosarioka looks so stiff and plastic. They either can't or won't go for trying to make her lekku look and act convincing. The Grand Inquisitor was a bad joke
Just look at fucking Jacen Syndulla. His design looked fucking terrible even with the cartoonish suspension of belief a cartoon art style allows, and following the pattern, he just looks worse as a supposed living half-human
Its pretty funny when you think about it. In the OT people like to spout that the empire was racist towards non-humans. This is EU drivel that came from autistic observations due solely to the fact that regular people in standard military uniforms would have been a lot cheaper to produce.

No. >He's fucking tall compared to the cartoon.
That's part of why Hayden was cast as Anakin in the first place. He's tall.
>Did Hayden change up his performance to be like Lanter’s?
No. He did Bro-Anakin in RoTS too. He's just riffing off of more of that. >Seemed different, but better.
He sounds different because he's older. They digitally de-aged him, but they did nothing about his voice. It's deeper than it was 17 years ago.
This had to matter. I'm not sure when people last watched the prequels, and especially Phantom Menace. Here these actors, many of them who had and would later give great performances in other movies, and they were all giving the worst performances of their careers. There were awkward lines and performances in the OT, but nothing approaching the sheer audacity of the PT.
didn't idpol liberals raise shit about jar jar (despite gungans being a noble, highly evolved warrior race with advanced technology) but now they're shifting goalposts?
They're too concerned about "claiming" whatever pop culture/fictional characters as their own to give a shit at this point. They could exibit whatever harmful traits that might seem innocuous with a white actor but problematic with a nonwhite, and they wouldn't care because hey, at least now we can gloat that Ariel or Hermione are black now or that this character is a lesbian now. As long as they fall under the LGBT or bipoc banner after previously "belonging to cis het people" they eat that shit up because they can use it as ammo in their pointless "culture war" slapfights on social media. Not knowing that they're just getting tricked by modern Hollywood into consooming half baked dogshit. It's a marketing trick that fails on a lot of fronts if too heavy handed but if done subtlely like withthe Mcu or StarWars, the normal fans don't make a stink and otherwise non fans are suddenly promoting your property for free because ohmygod this character is portrayed by a deaf latina holyshitnoway. It's an easy copout way to make these retards happy without actually doing anything beyond the casting choice. Just sticking it to whitey is all most of these brainrotted fucks want, they don't actually have principles. Same goes for the opposite side of the isle whenever an IP pulls the opposite and avoids diverse casts. Regardless of the creator's intention they'll call it based and defend it to high heaven regardless of the actual quality of said thing. Just people nowadays are vapid cunts that need to feel like they're part of something, so they do the bakc and forth like idiots without actually thinking about what they're fighting for or why.
I actually think there is one, and if we're going off of thematics, I'm sure an argument could be made that droids are capable of being alive just as much as people of flesh. >which is sad because it implies everyone in that vision is dead, including Rex.
No it doesn't. Only those who know how to preserve their consciousness (The Force Priestess, Qui-gon, Yoda, Obi-wan and Anakin) reside within the cosmic force. For everyone else, their souls are basically mulched and recycled and spread throughout the universe to feed the midichlorians so that they can create new life. They explain this in TCW season 7. There is no such thing as the afterlife in Star Wars.
is this scene worth watching at least? kinda excited to see hayden as vader in something that might not be shit but i need to hold my breath here because i've justifiably skipped on all of ahsoka after the travesty of boba fett.
You can tell the sets aren't real because both those scenes take place in flat, nondescript ground that's covered in heavy fog so you can't see anything beyond twenty feet? That's crazy, anon, you know so much about film-making.
>stupid time travel room
Thanks for confirming that I can skip this and all further series, I already skipped Obi-wan and Andor, Boba Fett sucked and Mandalorian was great for exactly one season.
Star Wars is dead to me, I don't get you new people but enjoy the corpse of the franchise.
There has been no Time Travel in this series. Those were more flashbacks than anything. It could be argued that somehow it kind-of was time traveling, but its treated more like a vision where she has to face the training she received, and how she is training others.
Then why did you need to see a post about it to have it "confirmed" for you? Its been known for a long time the WBW was going to show up in this show. But they didnt utilize it, yet, the way they did in Rebels.
It mildly bothered me that along with all the cryptic force ghost teaching shit, he and Ahsoka didn't have any kind of meaningful heart-to-heart moments where Ahsoka could actually talk to not-Vader Anakin while at this point in her life.
Which further extends to the fact we'll never see Force ghost Anakin have any meaningful conversations with Luke or Leia either.
He was just sort of there, really.
Hayden Anakin was extremely kino, would want an entire season of Clone Wars with him. Ahsoka looked like a shitty cosplay, unfortunately. Even though the actress did a fine job, she looks too much like a chubby goblina and the headpiece was terrible. Look how they massacred my girl. It's kinda baffling that Filoni was actually satisfied with the final result. You need an attractive actress and a huge movie budget with Cameron's Avatar technology to do Ahsoka justice.
It was clearly the council plan to use the Chosen one as breeding stock to increase the Jedi ranks. Ahsoka was just the trial for this plan. Anakin would have been training a consecutive stream on teenage girls.
Every conversation I've seen in Ahsoka has been fucking boring. Like, shot reverse shot conversations with this weird pause where you could count the seconds before the camera cuts to the next speaker after a line is delivered, even if its one word like "Ok".
It feels like an AI handled the cinematography, dialogue, camera work and actor direction. Even Sabine is boring, flat, and wooden when she's supposed to be at least more energetic then Ahsoka doing her best Qui-Gon impression.
Nobody emotes in this show beyond wry smiles and the occasional raised eyebrow. The cartoons had a lot of dialogue but it was always, you know, animated to be engaging or happening over some antics in the ship or interesting camera cuts to subjects of the conversation. Ahsoka feels like it was put together by cosplayers and fans with no industry experience at all.
Jedi kids are still Jedi. Ahsoka was going toe to toe with Maul at 17. I mean a lot of it does come down to training. Jedi can job like nobody's business.
>all the soi fans who watch Disney Wars no matter what and the zoomers who grew up on TCW will say this is one of the bestest ever things to ever happen in Star Wars, ever and that Filoni is literally the second coming of Lucas
it bothers me that Chopper has been as quite and well behaved in every scene he's been in throughout Ashoka.
only time he's really acted like himself is when he was wanting to commit a warcrime and shoot that ship out of the sky over a city instead of tagging it.
I don't know why someone needs to explain to you that Chopper in Rebels isn't real, and so he can run around doing all sorts of silly, physics-defying things that a real life trash bucket can't do without tipping over. The same wouldn't apply to practical Chopper in Ashoka, and having a full CGI chopper pop out for one scene would be jarring and ugly.
Meanwhile you have R2 pissing oil on and them setting on fire 2 B2 Battledroids and rocketing outta danger with no fucks to give.
Chopper has shown less emotive than your typical background astromechs

Damn, you are stupid. I already said they don't want to use a CGI chopper because it'd be jarring and ugly as shit like R2 was in ROTJ. Get some reading comprehension, you filthy brown person.
He has to set an example for Jacen since Kanan isn't around, Chopper is the dad who stepped up. When Jacen wasn't there he was ready to drop a fucking hyperdrive on a city.
I don't think hyperdrives are WMDs on their own in Star Wars.

It wouldn't be a nuke, but a hyperdrive of that size falling from that high up onto a populated area would still rain down debris on civilians, and that is assuming there is no Coaxium in it.

>Coaxium
No such thing. Star Wars starships use fusion or matter/antimatter collision, there's no 'juicing' either process. The idea that there's fuel or a special additive to something that's already a 99% matter to energy process is retarded.

Stop trying to apply real world logic to a series about space wizards that has never once cared for anything close to real world physics. If the canon says there is a special fuel that allows hyperdrives to access hyperspace, then it exists. Whether you like it or not, it is canon.
>CUT! >Mary, you faced the camera again! >It's important to the character that you face away from the camera for most of the shot. >Maybe squat and bend over a little. >To, uh, symbolize getting my hands on--I mean how hands-on Hera gets with her work.
Not especially, but I don't think it translating an animated show to live-action was that critical to the episode. Conveying a sense of time and forward movement was, and the episode did that well enough with a coherent thematic thread.
I think the prequels are shit by the way, so it's not like having Hayden Christensen show up swayed me. I don't even like him showing up in ROTJ. But if you're on board with the show so far I can't imagine this episode getting you to bail on it. I think it did what it needed to with Filoni's usual brand of excess.
Can we compare with good fan cosplays. I'm sorry, I never been one of the orange buttcheeks pervert but this design would never work in live action, I just can't see it, no matter how good looking the actress is.
The fight scenes are so awful, the fight seems to be in slow motion, someone needs to tell them that the Japanese and Chinese speed up the fight scenes to make them cooler
no, everybody calling it good is a legit disney shill
the show's a boring snoozefest that thinks of itself as high art because filoni can't stop huffing his own farts
the only thing worthwhile in the show are the two dark jedi and they're not the focus
It's an episode a week like normal. And no, it's not particularly good. It's basically Rebels 2 but with all the shittiness and stiffness of modern live action Star Wars. Would've been magnitudes better as a cartoon because Filoni can't direct live action for shit.
I think its solid. I didnt have faith Filoni could put something together this competently. However, I do not think its perfection, it certainly has its issues. The dialog is poorly paced and there are some dumb details here and there. There are also a couple of Filoni over the top things that I think could have been done a different way, but its still solid. I think its good, not GREAT, but good for sure. Its better than all the other live action SW stuff we've gotten (and yes, I recognize thats a low bar).
I've never seen a show so stiff and wooden. Its like everyone is trying to copy Andor's more understated writing and acting but only after taking like 4 bars of xanex each.
>be zoomer >burned out on Star Wars due to all the laziness and Goyslop >see Hayden returns >Watch his scenes and that’s it >Don’t know what’s going on in the series and don’t care >Seeing Anakin use the red saber was nice >Scene with Anakin ends. Dropped
I'm seeing a lot of people saying that the episode was just fanservice (well, it was ALSO fanservice), saying stuff like Anakin was there for no reason, the flashes where he turns into Vader were useless and all that stuff, and like, I don't get it, do people actually watch this stuff without using their brain? The reason why all that stuff happened seems pretty clear to me
I thought it was her coming to terms with the fact that she was raised and trained like a soldier because they were at war and ended up instilling that same mentality on Sabine during a time of -seemingly- galactic peace.
The camera really does add 10 pounds
That one inquisitor that went from big though guy in the cartoon to fatguy in the live action.
no
>fat black kid
No.
>fat black kid
Yes. This is what you coombrains deserve for raising up Proto-Rey.
>black
Is it really this hard to find competent child actors whose cheeks don't rival a chipmunks? The Last Of Us had this issue too.
Or at LEAST someone who comes up to a little past Hayden's fucking shoulder?
Why do they have her modeled aterf a very specific iteration of the character's history when she's not even remotely in proportion
I've noticed for some reason zoomers look REALLY fucking weird compared to past generations at their age.
Something in the water, I guess.
>bro I uhh liteskin bro I ain blak bro fuck you nugg finna buss a harf R up if uon shut yo mouf bro
Meds. She hasn't a single drop of black
Cute girl.

Is that hard to hire ariana grande for 5 minutes?
feels like a fan film.
Filoni will release the movie later. Ahsoka is just his big production fan fiction.
oh captain my captain
No, Anakin's outfit looks goofy as fuck and Ahsoka is way too short
she's adorable
What's her personality like though? Still just stoic and boring as her adult counterpart?
>Still just stoic and boring as her adult counterpart?
More rather depressed and or angry.
She lightens the fuck up after the whole force vision with Anakin is over though..
Since she has her adult mind, she's technically space legal here, right? Anakin could fuck her no harm no foul.

No. They made Ahsoka fat & black.
She looks like a standard latina. You're delusional
Did Hayden change up his performance to be like Lanter’s? Seemed different, but better.
It must suck to imitate a guy who was hired specifically to imitate you just because people liked his version of you better
it was more the director's fault, and it's been close to two decades since he last played the character so he needed some reference
>Did Hayden change up his performance to be like Lanter’s?
No. He did Bro-Anakin in RoTS too. He's just riffing off of more of that.

When did the episode drop?
Its meh
It was perfect and KINO
>No droids
I was disappointed.
Droids don't exist in the living force, which is sad because it implies everyone in that vision is dead, including Rex.
>Anakin, this is Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) created by Dave Filoni!
stopped watching right there
it would be absolute kino to have a Star Wars story about a droid trying to connect to the force
I actually think there is one, and if we're going off of thematics, I'm sure an argument could be made that droids are capable of being alive just as much as people of flesh. Of course, the real answer is that they probably wanted to cut down on the budget for what was already a very CGI intense episode, although it should be noted that we don't see droids, but we see supercommandos on Mandalore. Or maybe there is no thematics, since the force also seems to contain LAAT's.
>Droids don't exist in the living force
Why are the tanks there then dummy

No it doesn't. Only those who know how to preserve their consciousness (The Force Priestess, Qui-gon, Yoda, Obi-wan and Anakin) reside within the cosmic force. The live action shows only prove Filoni is a hack and that TCW was only good because of Lucas and other people who worked on it and not Filoni.
Season 7 Ahsoka should look older. She still looks barely twelve years old in that Mandalore flashback.
Actress is 17
literally pic related
>it held up
holy shit, i'm terrified

Not really

It's the first half of the episode, but yes. It's totally worth it. You get to see Hayden Anakin in different phases of his adult life.
How come her head tails are so small in Ashoka? It’s not like shak tis were short in episode 2
This fighting looks so trash. You can really tell they're using the smaller volume screen.
You can tell the sets aren't real because both those scenes take place in flat, nondescript ground that's covered in heavy fog so you can't see anything beyond twenty feet? That's crazy, anon, you know so much about film-making.
Didn't she have green lightsabers?
Anakin tinkered with them when she left the Jedi and when he returned them to her before the siege of Mandalore they had turned blue.
She gets blue ones in season 7, that battle happens in season 7
Anakin kept them and changed them to blue while she was out of the order
>stupid time travel room

This was low hanging, but still pretty fucking cool.
Was Ani a force ghost here? Or was this whole thing more like a manifestation of her mind?
If it was ghost Ani, its interesting that he can slide between forms. Obviously he prefers being Ani, but Vader is still very much there.
i believe it's ghost anakin because he tells her he doesn't remember mandalore since he wasn't there
what were the walkers called? they look cool as fuck

and now we know why everyone wanted a piece.
Real Anakin fans have known for years that he was always gorgeous
had a massive crush on Hayden as a kid without even realizing it. was still obsessed with anakin in the cartoon too
My Wife started dating me because she had a crush on Anakin as a kid
>Pairing a cute, teenage alien girl with a handsome, rule breaking, bad boy only a few years older than her.
What was the Jedi council thinking?
They did it at Padme's request.
She wanted to watch the holovids Abakin sent to her of him plowing Ahsoka.
the three of them eventually all did it together though i imagine
They did. They fled the galaxy and Vader in the suit was just an animatronic.
Whenever Anakin and Ahsoka could come back to Coruscant they definitely got together in Padme's apartment.
Why is she such a cuck?
She gets to join in on the fun.
She only gets Ahsoka's sloppy seconds.
>give anakin MORE temptation by pairing him with orange jailbait
what was padme thinking?
She wanted a sister-wife and her older sister was already married.
It was her anniversary gift to him.
>Raise your trainees from infanthood to have dead sex drives.

Ok fine I'll watch your stupid show.
why they send a child to a fucking intergalactic war???
every Padawan was in this situation at this time lol the Jedi didn't give two fucks
Because they can see the future and have incredible reflexes, precision and intuition.
Because the Jedi couldn't do anything right.
Jedi kids are still Jedi. Ahsoka was going toe to toe with Maul at 17. I mean a lot of it does come down to training. Jedi can job like nobody's business.

PUTA
Should have been Isabela Moner.
Yeah, Anakin was fine but Ahsoka felt sluggish. There were a couple moves she did that I felt would have been cool if she was moving a little faster.
The budget couldn't afford Huyang and Zeb
Is the new series any good?
Is the entire season out or are they doing that annoying “1 episode a month” release again?
no, everybody calling it good is a legit disney shill
the show's a boring snoozefest that thinks of itself as high art because filoni can't stop huffing his own farts
the only thing worthwhile in the show are the two dark jedi and they're not the focus
It's not good but it's entertaining. More than can be said for most of the Disney's live-action SW output.
Star Wars animation still remains the absolute king and mogs the fuck out of everything else they put out.
She wore the wrong costume for the time period that the flashback was supposed to be about.
Yep they would rattle too many normies if they adhered to George's original vision of a tube top and miniskirt.
>be zoomer
>burned out on Star Wars due to all the laziness and Goyslop
>see Hayden returns
>Watch his scenes and that’s it
>Don’t know what’s going on in the series and don’t care
>Seeing Anakin use the red saber was nice
>Scene with Anakin ends. Dropped
2/2
Anakin still killing children like a fucking Sith Lord chad
Then the slop kicked back in
No. Fatsoka is an abomination.

Black Ahsoka was George's vision.
Still no wide nose, anon.
Actually, he hated that design, stating that it looked too much like your regular, run-of-the-mill, gray alien.
But Sabine is literally a mandalorian. She was taught in the ways of war since birth long before Ahsoka.
