Well the whole point of secret wars would be Feige realizing everyone hates the new characters and trying to clean house now that the phase 1 and 2 people are retiring.
I dislike when super heroes' families also get powers/involved in the action. I feel that it detracts from the original hero. I also feel the same way about spinoff characters like all the spider-gays running round other than peter parker.
The thing is, Cassie becoming a hero worked really well in the comics since Scott died but once he got back to life, she also worked well since she becomes her partner because she pretty much fills the role of being Scott's Wasp.
It weirded me out how the comics tried to team Scott up with Nadia before they teamed him up with Cassie
