Ant-Man deserved better than having a rushed third film that's just a trailer for Avengers 5. On that note, an animated Ant-Man film would be the tightest shit, imagine all the crazy set pieces you could make with his powers without having to hold back because of live action.
>Ant-Man deserved better
I think he deserved better in general. He deserved an Edgar Wright film. The original Ant-Man's best aspects are the suit design and a few funny jokes, which really pale in comparison to Deadpool as a super hero comedy. I don't know if Wright could've topped that as a comedy, but it definitely would've been a far funnier and more unique film if he had gotten to go through with his vision.
Have you read the original script? It's really not that different than the final version, has many of the same plot beats and to be honest some changes were for the better (Hank Pym dies in the original version, Janet is mega dead too and there's a lot of focus to a love triangle between Scott Lang, his ex-wife and the new husband) I have no doubt it would have been better in the overall visual direction though. The comedy might have been better because of this but when it comes to character dialogue it probably would have been about the same because Wright was the one that casted Paul Rudd and no doubt he would let him have input in the comedy, just like how it happened in the final movie.
>Marvel keep trying to introduce younger and hyper legacy heroes >DC resets their shit and have a multiverse crisis every 3 weeks >Both clearly stayed pass their welcome but still trying to hold on for some reason >Unasked for pandering and virtue signaling
Hilarious, it is like watching the comic industry's collapse all over again.
It had a lot of problems, it's clear that Marvel heavily altered the thing until they ended up with a frankenstein of a movie. It doesn't help that it was originally going to release on summer but they changed it because they had to delay The Marvels.
I don't know why people are acting like this is such a huge deal. Shrek 2 had a 900 million dollar gross, which is more than most Marvel movies do. It's not like Puss in Boots is some D-list movie that beat out Avenger Endgame.
Currently sitting at $451 million worldwide.
It'll be lucky to pull in $30 million over the next few weeks.
This movie night not even hit $500 million, which is insane.
For comparison, even the first Ant Man movie made $520 million at the box office.
The most interesting part is that it proves a movie being on streaming services does not necessarily cut its theatrical run short.
What's Turning Red's excuse now?
fuck capeshit

I now remember these animated shorts from 5 years ago

what does that mean?

lmao this
You'd think they learned anything from the first time.
Movie is 3 months old and it still makes it in the news.
>that one guy trying to damage control by saying there's no difference, forgetting the gap between the budget of the two films
No difference? Ant-man opened 10x bigger
Talking about worldwide total
Ant Man 3 was fine lol. I kinda don't give a fuck about how much money it makes compared to anything else.
zoomer

Hail to CHAD in Boots
Extra effort put into the dollar bills, nice.
>Make a fun good movie
>Make major bank
You think they are on to something here?
Still made like $100 million less than the first one.

Good
Marvel is so assblasted about the critical and financial failure of Ant-Man 3 they're suing the leakers of the script loool

What's Turning Red's excuse now?
Yeah, and the funny thing is that it has been in demand streaming even earlier.
>haha contrarianism! I’m so funny!
Yeah
He is your favorite fearless hero.
>puss in the boots has more brand power that ant man
