Historically speaking yes, Angels are terrifying and almost incomprehensible to the human eye. You'll see their light and their purity though, and even lucifer cannot mimick it. That's how you can differentiate a demon or an extra dimensional creature from an angel.

        Satan is in the bible
and believing only in scripture is heresy as well, be careful

Satan and Christ are evenly matched and equal power. I saw an angel and it could hardly make contact before being swallowed by the sea of sin and all it could impart upon me was how surrounded by evil we were before disappearing.

"A house divided upon itself will surely fall" so says the Lord thy God. Any shift from the balance of power would simply lead to one side destroying the other completely. Without contrast there can be no good or evil.

He's right thought there's no "Lucifer" in the bible, it's just a reference to how Judah rejected Jesus, Satan appears in the book of Job but he is still talking with God, so he can't have "fallen", so yeah Lucy is a catholic church OC.

            Anonymous

Lucifer and Satan are the same,
            >O Lucifer. O day-star. All this, according to the letter, is spoken of the king of Babylon. It may also be applied, in a spiritual sense, to Lucifer, the prince of devils, who was created a bright angel, but fell by pride and rebellion against God. (Challoner) (Luke x. 18.) (Calmet) --- He fell by pride, as Nabuchodonosor did. (Worthington) --- Homer (Iliad xix.) represents the demon of discord hurled down by Jupiter to the miserable region of mortals.

              Anonymous

Why are you quoting everything except the books themselves? Satan in the book of job he's in heaven talking with God, while "Lucifer" supposedly betrayed God and was cast out of heaven, how can they even be the same character? There's no big bad in the bible, the moral of the story is that evil comes from within man, but a medieval peasant couldn't really understand this type of thing so the church made up "Lucifer" to scare the peasants into accepting it.

the fall is described in revelation following the ascension, Christ dying and resurrecting is Him snatching the keys of death and hell from the cohorts of the adversary, it's why there are provably evil people serving satan, they still think when they die satan and his ilk will be in charge down there, they think they'll find leniency from them like how it was before

No, these are not accurate depictions.
Angels probably don't have wings at all.

I think these descriptions in the Bible should not be interpreted literally.
I think I read somewhere that back then, when people (like Ezekiel) used to see something hardly describable, they would focus on their own feelings.
As if they characterized Angels based on their subjective feeling towards the Angels' behavior,
e.g. if they felt that the Angel's eyesight was piercing them, they would describe it by writing about the Angel as if he had a thousand eyes.

Imagine how would Ezekiel would describe the Large Hadron Collider from CERN.

But that's how it is. Same with numbers. Some numbers cannot be taken literally (see e.g. biblestudy[dot]o r g[slash]bibleref[slash]meaning-of-numbers-in-bible[slash]0[dot]h t m l).
Some things are literal, some are not. That's how people communicated back then, whether you like it or not.
