The only watchable Godzilla movie. Solid 6/10.

The marketing campaign for this movie was one of the best ever. The teasers and posters advertised an epic.

But the actual movie? Pretty much just a sci-fi comedy with Ferris Bueller and a bunch of Simpsons actors.

I always had a sneaking suspicion that that "Bloop" sound was the first form of viral marketing made on behalf of this movie. Apparently it was just an iceberg cracking though.

It's trash like the majoirty Emmerich films with the exception of Stargate, Independence Day and The Patriot. I have actually never seen Universal Solider so maybe that too, but I need to see it to form an opinion.
Anyway, it's quite shocking that a homohomosexual like Emmerich built his career on films that seem often pretty conservative. Especially The Patriot. He did direct a movie about Stonewall which I obviously didn't watch but I think it was garbage and panned by everyone. Funny thing, i think in the movie the first person to throw a brick is the white male protagonist while IRL it was a brown troony. That made sodomites seethe a lot.

The Patriot is a movie so good I always forget Emmerich directed it.
I swear Gibson did all the work and then slapped Roland's name on it.

Not unheard of. Kurt Russell directed the majority of Tombstone but gave the credit to Cosmatos.

Indeed, it's far too kino of a movie and from such a different genre from his usual that there's no chance in hell Emmerich directed it imo

When I was a kid I watched this movie on TV without knowing what it was and I thought I was watching a Jurassic Park sequel.

I like the Stan Winston design, but I think this design is bolder and cooler. Also, I prefer the more realistic stance they went with.

Literally the best Zilla film because Godzilla is actually a fricking kaiju whereas all the others are SHIT because they're some c**t in a suit.

I liked that it was street-level. I don't like it when Godzilla is mountain sized. It's shit. It's better when you're a legitimate prey for him.

KOTM and AniGoji 3 make All Monsters Attack look like Citizen Kane by comparison. And this movie blows all of those out of the water.

all monsters attack is one of the more entertaining showa flicks teebeedesu. who cares that it reuses clips, those clips are entertaining, and its not as if most showa (after 54) is groundbreaking or even good cinema in the first place

God damn this is such a sick poster, I want a monster movie where the monster is actually this size, imagine one foot being taller than the liberty statue it would be the most kino movie ever made, I want to see the monster from space I dont care how impossible it is, give it to me.
