    Bad origin point tbhwy
I hated the teenage highschool shit

They should have just started where the original members left after the Krakoa hurled into space shit.
and where we get the 1975 team, Storm, Collosus, sunpyre, warpath etc...
that lead to the Phoenix then to welcoming kitty to the team

    that was peak Xmen

The only version that bothered to give them personalities
Other than Spyke. Spyke was bad

Spyke had a personality but every time he learned his lesson at the end of an episode he immediately forgot the next week. It was weird how he was the only one who never really grew.

Spykes okay but the way they write him out is just so dumb

        >Dont drink the gatorade
        >FRICK YOU IM XTREME
        >Drinks it
        >It messes up his control of his powers and now hes crying hes a freak and cant blend in anymore
        >Ignores Cyclops and Rogue struggling to live with dangerous powers
        >Ignores Beast and nightcrawlers appearances

actually just ruins him in the end

I love when Spyke left the open slot they had on the team was basically filled in non verbally by Bobby even with Bobby being younger.

It had a few rough points that could have been fixed, but it's a good basis for an X-Men story that has wider appeal than the ethnostates and warcrimes shit the comics are doing.

Was the version i watched while growing up, also has the best animated play of Logan: didnt forced romance with him and actually made him a father figure to most of the teens there. it was peak for me and sad it got cancelled and s3 got half of the planned episodes.

but it got four seasons and had an ending with Apocalypse.

granted they wanted to go further with a season 5 with Mr. Sinister and Phoenix.

oh maaan sorry i missed the count! yep it got 4 seasons! its been a long time (over 7 months) since i rewatched this. I really wanted to see how the writers would developt the phoenix plot since it was a build up since the later episodes. I also wanted to see the new members own arcs and stories like Amara.

It was alright, but way too mundane and boring compared to TAS. It had some fun one-off episodes but that's about it.

Kinda related but I always thought it was weird that this version of Quicksilver along with the one from Wolverine and the X-Men was willingly on Magneto’s side when in the comics he hated working for him and still doesn’t like him all that much now

      Anonymous

oh this is interesting! I think in this version it took some liberties in the origins and personalities of the already know characters. He still dislikes working gor Magneto but its show that magneto is kind of a really powerful and manipulative person with a mutation beyond any others. I think pietro sided with him not out of respect or willing to work with him but rather "to be in the side of who he thinks will win in the end" there is a whole arc of him trying to escape magneto's influence and go solo with the lidershipp with the broterhood.

        Anonymous

Hm that is interesting and works for that version of the character. I think it would’ve maybe been better to play him as a bit of a wildcard. He doesn’t really care about either side and is willing to play them against each other. The only reason he doesn’t is cause he’s either scared of Magneto, has to stay because of Wanda, or even both

          Anonymous

Yes, i believe they did it with Scarlat Witch instead! wich was cool tbh she was a character with a lot of potential (sadly her arc was totally ruined for having her memories wiped from the hatred and towards Magnus and their forgiviness at the final was soo forced)

            Anonymous

Well at this point I should just rewatch it. Shame about Wanda though I like her. Not as much as her brother though which is funny cause for most people it’s the opposite. I just wish he got a proper adaptation in tv and movies

Everything X-Men animated or 3DPD is garbage and only good for the novelty of seeing familiar character do things in motion.
In some alternate universe there is a high budget well written and animated show made by passionate and talented people.
Too bad our universe is big gay.

The whole Rogue and Scott thing was... weird.
Not weird because it's bad, but it was something that I don't think a love triangle had ever crossed my mind or that she could have a crush on him.

One thing I like is that, for a product of the X-men, it doesn't have them locked up in the mansion or isolated from humans.

If we take the most recent example, which is 97, the humans with whom they interact can be counted on the fingers of one hand, and that is excluding the antimutants with whom they fight.

Here I understand that they want to fight for acceptance and be part of society, because they already are, it is not that "we were locked up in Xavier's mansion for 10 years, now, we want to be accepted in society."

      Anonymous

To be fair, when have they done something respectable with the brotherhood in any media?

Especially with Toad, Blob and Avalanche

Avalanche here had personality and a romance with Kitty and Mesmero instead of being a mutant that practically no one remembers here he is an ally of Apocalypse

This was my first introduction into the x-men and it was so odd going from it to the comics since this is basically a high school AU of it. I liked it though

  27. 4 weeks ago

It gave us best Rogue and Wanda design.
I also enjoyed the twist Magneto put his own daughter in an asylum. This gave more depth to Wanda than in the comics where she's basicaly whatever the plot needs her to be.
