Combat missions these days are focused on providing ground support, which is why we flew thousands of sorties over Syria yet only shot down one plane. A combat mission is a combat mission, whether it involves dogfighting or dropping ordnance on positions held by terrorists, and if you accept that then yes there are females flying these missions successfully.
