Are there any other films similar to how weird this one was?

Cat Soup is good, short though

Kaiba's a short TV series but if it isn't inspired by Fantastic Planet I would be very surprised.

Marquis by Henri Xhonneux is live action but the puppet characters were designed by Renè Laloux who also designed this

Jan Lenica’s Ubu and the Great Gidouille

Idk why but Gwen the Book of Sand reminded me of this, maybe just the language and setting but still watch it regardless it’s great

Some of Karel Zeman’s earlier work has a similar cut-out style. Some of Piotr Kamler’s work has similar sci fi aesthetics but in 3D stop motion.

Dragon’s Heaven is an OVA that has similar hatching and is heavily based on Moebius but that’s a stretch to compare it to this

Oh last one, Tree of Palme definitely reminded me of Fantastic Planet, mainly the environments. It’s very flawed but still would recommend

Neat suggestions aside from Marquis. That shit is downright repulsive

I saw one of them, it was repulsive and dumb, like a 2000s teenage edgelord trying to come up with the worst shit he could think of and then animating it poorly with free autocad

his more recent stuff is more visually cohesive and not as goofily edgy, WtDGtD is definitely hard to take seriously. M dot Strange does similar work but he’s more competent

WtDGtD is the one I watched, a dog rips a baby out of a pregnant woman's uterus and then convinces a kid to frick the corpses from what I remember. Supreme edgelord shit
I thought M dot Strange was a voice actor in the work, anything you'd recommend that isn't as 2edgy4u? Not that I was offended or sickened mind you (seen worse here), just felt like a really long shitpost that dragged on

I haven’t seen his three features, but I’m familiar with them. They don’t seem nearly as edgy as Jimmy and they’re definitely more polished

that chink movie about raped girl that deal with the devil
that chink movie about girl walking with egg in a militarized bottom of noah's ark
that movie about alice that goes to wonderland which is just some shitty cabin in czechoslovakia where bread have nails
    and eight crazy nights

      Jan Švankmajer's Alice
Unsure of the other two but being reminded of Jan I'd also recommend The Wolf House
