>Is the new JSA comic any good?
Frick no.
But Johns JSA is the only time he's ever been good
Johns' JSA peaked with Black Reign and then got kind of lame. When he came back to it after Ininite Crisis it was largely shit. He hasn't written a good comic in close to 20 years.
DiDio took over after infinite crisis
RIP
It's back, and the new book is dogshit supreme, to the point that I'd rather have motherfricking Guggenheim or Willingham back on the book.
He's gone full hack on the book. Between the bullshit CatBat pandering, the retcon army of minority teen sidekicks that only exist to appear in Stargirl (which is now canceled, defeating their entire existence regardless), characters vanishing into the ether (Kent Nelson Jr, Dr Midnite 3, JJ Thunder), the fact that Geoff not beating Jim Leet to death over the forcing of the homosexual New 52 Alan Scott homosexualry being forced on OC Alan Scott and instead saying that all existing DC lore is a lie because Alan was always supposed to be gay but became straight because Geoff's OC the Golden Age Red Lantern got erased from existence, and utterly fricking utterly dropping the ball on bringing Infinity Inc Dr Midnite 2 and Wildcat 2 back?
It's a dumpster fire supreme and again, I'd rather have Willingham or Guggenheim back running the book at this point, given how badly Geoff is crashing shit.
Are you fricking high, Willingham and Guggenheim's JSAs were way worse than this mini
is the new one the one that goes "oh, every hero had a female sidekick that was never mentioned"
It's been delayed so much and wrapped up in crossovers that it barely has a feel of it's own. That said, I'm gonna keep reading because it just finished the Degaton arc and I'm curious what Johns will do with Salem and Judy now that Lost Children is over.
I also just want to see who the "Bride of Grundy" was who he teased in issue 2. I like seeing people remember Grundy isn't a Batman villain.
What's the reason for the JSA still being around? What's the point when you've got the Justice League?
Because give or take retcons and irrelevance, they still are the original versions of some of DC's longest lasting characters. It's nice to appreciate history.
Only nerds care about that shit.
Only nerds read comics
To be fair, only nerds read American comics.
So you're saying you're inferior to nerds?
They tried killing off JSA and it didn't take. Golden Age Wildcat, Flash, GL, Dr Fate among others have fans and more to the point, at their zenith (All Star Squadron and the 99 JSA series) they had a well written book with compelling serialized storylines, detailed character arcs, iconic stories and used DC's well of villains way better than JLA and their revolving door of one-off villains ever did.
Michael Janin is such a terrible choice for an artist on JSA.
It fricking SSSUUCKKKSSS
The world needs some new heroes
the jsa doesnt make sense with a sliding timescale
