I've come around on the later seasons. I use to say that the show went to shit immediately after Walt gets his lab from Gus and it should have ended there, but I see the merit in it now. Gus and Walter have more in common than anyone else in the show. The whole show is a hell of a ride. You spend the initial seasons cheering Walt on, just waiting to see what he becomes next. Then the snowball starts rolling on it's own and you're left with a feeling of "Oh shit, not like this". Jesse being locked up to be a slave cook by the nazis was some dark shit

Its silly to think of them as nazis. They have no ideology. They never do anything outside standard gang activity.

homie, they literally have swastikas tattooed on their persons. Granted, you're right that the show never really does anything with this.

          Anonymous

So? Name one single thing any of them did that was consistent with National Socialism.

          They're just gangsters. It's just a shape.

It's ironic because there aren't any white gangs here anyway. You could drive around this city for a week and you wouldn't find a single swastika anywhere. MS13 tags are on every other corner though.

I think the show peaked in S4, but Season 5 still has some great moments. It's just a little too heavy on the fanservice cameos and tying up loose ends.

Lost is definitely not as good as Breaking Bad.

        Anonymous

We're not talking about the show itself, just the iconic characters. Tony Soprano definitely comes close, but all the guys on The Wire are just generic cop show guys and Lost was too much of an ensemble clusterfrick.

        Anonymous

The Wire is unironically the greatest television show ever created, season 5 was admittedly a bit of a letdown compared to previous seasons but is still leagues better than anything else put out, and for the time it was literally game changing.

Imagine being someone who calls themselves a "Sopranos fan". Your day-to-day routine consists of repeatedly watching clips of the show over and over again while yelling quotes from the show at your monitor. You chuckle to yourself as you read the YouTube comments and see others repeating the same quotes you just yelled out.

After a 7 hour binge of clips you decide to go and eat "gabagool" because your entire pathetic existence revolves around The Sopranos and every moment of your life must be in some way shape or form, a reference to The Sopranos.

After eating 6 lbs of garbage deli meats you make your way to Cinemaphile, where you and the the only other two Sopranos fans proceed to shit up the board with quotes from the show and samegayging each other until the thread hits bump limit. Repeat for three hours.

Once you finally reach your point of no return you put on "Talking Sopranos" and make sure to have a last minute snack of 2lbs of gabagool before you fade out into a food coma while the sounds of hack Sopranos actors wax nostalgia over their glory days.

What a pathetic life to live.
