You can't dramatize it, people in the submarine didn't felt pain nor fear, they were gone in an instant so the movie would have to be mostly about the thing after the incident, a courtroom drama.

You could make it a workplace drama about working for a toxic boss in a start up. Or about the one guy who refused to sign off on the subsequent dives and his righteous fight to speak truth to power. Or you could do a Newsroom-style feature that's turbo cynical about the media circus surrounding the events.

Make it about the graverobbing Frenchman who spent years saying that get compressed to death in less than a fraction of a second would be his ideal way to go.

You could make a black comedy about the Coast Guard rescue effort, and include the part where they were told to withhold their findings until after the time ran out for life support.

That would be funny, a mockumentary would be ideal for that premise.

      >You can't dramatize it, people in the submarine didn't felt pain nor fear, they were gone in an instant
A common misconception. Yes, once the pressure of the outside water overwhelms the air pressure inside the submarine it happens "instantly" but this is a half truth for the sake of keeping the reality clean for the public. You see, in reality the pressure cannot be overcome instantaneously. There is "resistance" by the air molecules which do not "want" to be compressed and are very energetic. So once the hull failed the air pressure inside the sub would raise dramatically for several seconds, long enough for the occupants to feel it.

You know that scene in Total Recall where Arnold and the villain are on the surface of Mars with their eyes bulging out and their heads blowing up like balloons due to the vacuum? Well it would be something like that only the inverse of it. Imagine intense air pressure constricting, squeezing the eyes and throat. While the air squeezes the outside of the throat it is also trying to force its way through the mouth and down the throat. Meanwhile the temperature also rises dramatically, cooking the occupants and scalding them. It's like being in a pressure cooker. Mercifully, this would only last ten seconds tops and then WHOOMP, the water overpowers the air pressure everyone is basically atomized.

      >You can't dramatize it
      yes you can
      >they get stuck in the bottom of the ocean
      >all hope is lost
      >the lights go out
      >they get the sub to work again
      >speeding towards the surface, laughter and joy
      >just before they reach the surface....BOOM

        Anonymous

If they made it back near the surface then it wouldn't go boom. At that point just say frick it and have them back on land, father and son Dawood would run to their wife/mother and just before the imbrace THEN have them just explode right in front of her.
Now THAT'S an academy award winning ending.

they were in a tuna can more than a mile under the sea, I'm willing to bet the lights and the little controller gave out before the implosion.
There was definitely some shit pants in that thing well before they died.

I would make the implosion like a slow-motion scene from Inception. Then intersperse drama inbetween.

it was to normalize lacking empathy and mocking the death of others. i always love mentioning to these homosexual liberals the 19 year old kid who went on the sub just to be with his dad and watch their homosexual gleeful sadism deflate.

        Anonymous

A 19 year old should be telling his dad "this is fricking stupid, don't get in that fricking thing you will die."
And the kid didn't get on the sub to "be with his dad", his dad guilt tripped him into getting onto it. They are both stupid and deserving of the posthumous ridicule.

I'm calling you a homosexual for getting upset for billionaires.
                >watch this epic The Rock movie and you can be an adult like me!

You're legitimately seething over the fact that I'm calling you out for being a homosexual. You seethed so hard about my fatherless comment you repeated it. It's pretty much clear you're a homosexual who gets mad when he sees cars more expensive than his on the freeway.

And your fatherless comment was pure projection. Is that why this Titan story hurts you? did your father do something moronic and kill himself when you were young?

So I'm just going to assume that you do actually get butthurt when you see cars more expensive than yours on the street? That's a pretty pathetic and insecure way to live live. Again I'm going to suggest you watch my Rock movie.

This is even stupider, so the 19 year old deserved to die not because he went on the negligent submarine ride but because he was being scouted out by the owner??? You're moronic, legitimately consider suicide.

Stockton Rush was an affluent progressive homosexual born into a life of wealth and luxury. A literal limousine liberal. The kind of man arrogant enough to lecture some working class White guy on his "White Privilege". He got off easy in my opinion.

I'd like to think that when the sub imploded the water rushing in bent him forward in half and shot him up his own ass.

They made a plastic model of the sub pretty quickly, it's pricey for something pretty small though I guess because it's 3d printed rather than made with a more traditional method, it also comes in only 3 pieces with the entire hull all as one solid piece, the entrance hatch as another and the window on the hatch as a third so it's not like you are going to have a fun time building it, but you do need to paint it which I guess is the more fun part to some people than the building is. I think the extra bits on the right one in this image are like leftover supports from when it was being 3d printed and you are meant to just cut it off? you would think the manufacturer would cut them off themselves though, unless they do and just put the fresh print in the image as some sort of making of demonstration.

Right is what you get, supports and window with extra tab. Middle is what it should look like after your prep. Left is finished.
