Honestly, when an Ernie episode wasn't focused on romance, he is a short king. Unfortunately, he is a short peasant because the writers refuse to change the status quo and give him a woman.

        Anxiety you mean?
Yes, she is a girl. People (mostly tumblrites and twittertards) complained that the female emotions were too pretty and the male emotions were allowed to be goofy (despite Joy being the goofiest of all the emotions in the first movie) so they made Anxiety look goofy despite her personality being anything but.

She does likes Ernie, she was just being vain about how she would be judged because of the height difference between the two, which hurt Ernie's feelings because it came off as patronizing, made it seem like she didn't care about him as a person.

Look, man, I get you have a tall girlfriend who genuinely likes you but this isn't true for a lot of short guys out there. You're projecting your life onto this episode.

The reason Ernie confronted her was because while she did like him, she wasn't willing to be seen in public with him because she cared more about her image and what others thought of her than her own happiness and Ernie. That is why Ernie told her to frick off.

Because how she worded it made it clear it was a really shallow.
If she's being genuine, it means "I like you but I can't stand to be seen with you" which is terrible. If she's just personally not attracted then she's trying to deflect her own opinion to a vague "other people" which is just cowardly.
If she turned him down for being ugly, it would've sucked but you can't force someone to want you. But Ernie had every right to say I deserve to simply exist in polite society, if I have good things happen in my life who the frick is anyone else to say "sorry you're too ugly to have those things" Y'know it was the whole fricking arc of the episode where Ernie literally started out saying "Guys like me don't deserve good things".

You know what? Frick you. This is always something the dumped pud says to try and justify why they think they're better than the person who dumped them or didn't associate with them. It's right up there with
        >Well if they don't like you then it's their loss.
A nothing statement meant to cover up the smell of sour grapes. Because you know why? You're the ones without personality. People are willing to look past a lot of, forgive the phrasing, short coming if the person is genuinely worth it. If they can't look past your faults then you're just not an engaging, interesting or quite frankly NICE person either. This is the fat girl complaining about the pretty skinny girls. This is the towel manager b***hing about the jocks. You're the problem. Get control of your own fricking life and quit putting the blame on people for not liking you.

meanwhile guys who are legitimately gigantic pieces of shit get women wet instantly when they're 6'2"+ and enter the room. if the short dude had the same bad personality but he was just tall a huuuuge amount of women would still date him. height and looks absolutely matter first and foremost for men nowadays and if you have neither it's absolutely nightmare mode.

You ever see that episode of King of the Hill where Boomhauer shows Bobby how to pick up girls? And there was no real trick beyond him just trying on like half a dozen women before one finally takes? That's it. That's all there is to it. You don't get hung up on forcing that one person to like you, you keep trying till you find someone who's into your shit.

You don't have to marry a girl just because you asked her out. You don't stumble onto that SPECIAL SOMEONE on your first try. You actually have to attempt to date and socialize and be with people. If none of the girls you ask out do it for you you move on and keep going. See this is part of the problem. You're expect everyone to just click and blindly accept things too fast.

                >also means you have to have zero standards.
So you're allowed to have standards but suddenly they're not. They have to accept everything about you with no deal breakers.
                >If I don't like them it's because I have standards. If they don't like me they don't have a personality.

In a practical sense this is absolutely true, for both sexes, yes it's a numbers game. But in the spiritual sense it can be a kind of poison. Relationships aren't just about finding someone to be with, they're not just the day-to-day companionship, it's also about a sense of meaning, belonging to the human race. If somebody's rejected by 99 people then accepted by one, they might think "wow, that makes us even more special!" but they might also think "christ, I've been rejected by 99% of the human race, what kind of maniac must this one that accepted me be?" No man is an island, nor is his wife...

I'd say men don't often "reject" anything. We're usually just unaware, aloof or distracted looking somewhere else.
Hell I'm always suffering of the
              >Ah shit, that girl 4 months ago was trying to get to know you and you didn't help at all, you moron
But I can't speak for all men.
And surely each individual will have their "standards" and "preferences". I'm a "picky" dude, I dislike women who are way shorter than me (good thing I'm 5'7 then, I guess), I'm repulsed by fat, and I take how their hands look into heavy consideration. Fashion is also something that is important to me, but that can be taught. But other than that, I don't think I've ever went for a girl who was above a 6/10 on the public's rating, with me usually going for more cute, nerdy, girls with a nice personality.
Also I'm okay with women not liking shorter men (it's unfortunate for me but it is what it is), I just dislike how rude and dehumanizing the whole topic often is. It's no wonder you have dudes who are 5'10 (which is the perfect male height) getting depressed about it.

Looks and status have always mattered for both sexes. You can go read any kids fairy tale and deduce that.

If anything, its better for ugly/short/whatever people because there are plenty of like minded clubs, gatherings, events, etc that they can meet each other at or cat sniffing forums to reach out on.
