That's the 10%. But the show is built around the mystery of not knowing what comes next. Sure the dialog can be enteraining to rewatch, but the basis is gone.
What is crazy is how packed each episode is. They are only 50 minutes long but I swear they contain an entire seasons content of a normal show. You stop paying attention for 30 seconds and you've missed something important. Literally no filler
Yeah probably at least once a year.
Idk the only part that gets a bit stale for me is the climax where they shoot the spaghetti monster. Besides though it has lots of cool memorable parts that I always enjoy rewatching.
I probably like the biker episode the most. Such a gritty portrayal of outlaw bikers that absolutely shits on homosexual Disney shit like Sons of Anarchy.
The sad part is that HBO was going to make a gritty outlaw biker show but they made the pilot at the same time as Sons of homosexualry and decided not to go with it. It was going to have the dude who plays Dan in deadwood W. Earl Brown who said the pilot was fricking kino.
just the first few episodes.. later episode are ok but i get discouraged knowing they don't really go anywhere mind-blowing with the finale... with an epiphany i respect but can't understand
This doesn't hold up a rewatch when you realize the scenes with Rust and the black detectives are just shit filler, he is wasting their time and also the viewers time. Truly 'brilliant' filmmaking.
i love the first season, i've seen it like 3-5 times, i think it's great
but i think true detective misses the mark when depicting the workings of evil. scratch the surface, and underneath it's a cartoon, a scooby doo mystery. it's entertaining, eloquent, stylish, but leaves the viewer unprepared for the inevitable day, when he'll have to face it all by himself
I think they do it better than any show. Almost everyone in the show, including the kids, does something that can be construed as evil or coming from evil
I heavily drink when I watch my shows so give me a year and I will forget everything about it.
It's kino because I experienced true detective again without remembering the ending.
I wish they would get back together and solve the mystery of why racismforum.org is still down
No. It's one of the best television I ever saw but knowing the mystery takes away 90% of my interest.

Completely disagree, the acting, cinematography, the setting. Its all very rewatchable

i forgot how it ended 3 years after finishing it

Is there actually supernatural shit in this show (season 1) ?
That's one way to interpret it, but that's not the only valid interpretation of the events.
There's a witch in it who can make a guy cum in two pumps.
Monaghan in her prime is my ideal woman, even despite her flat nose.
It's ambiguous and you can form your own interpretation of it.
Recently finished the first season and really like it, are the others any good?
no
Nowhere near as good, but they’re both enjoyable.
Watch the first minute of S02E01 and you'll see what I mean.
If you like it give the outsider on hbo a shot. Its like true detective meets ozark with a supernatural element
haven't rewatched since the premiere
but I never rewatch anything anyway
literaly me
nah.
someone's got the original pic?
found it
haha
i'm not a nerd finally
Are you schizophrenic?
we are not.
is this thread dying?
FROM THE DUSTY MESA
I'll never forget The Last Psychiatrist's verdict on the ending:
>You just watched a historical TV moment: never before has the audience for a show been smarter than its writer.
What did he mean by this
Being a Ligotti Reading anti-natalist is le based, actually.
beta cope

I knew there would be a point where Cinemaphile became so contrarian that they would dislike td s1

frick you dude id literally mog the shit out of you i guarantee it

It was inevitable
I just don't find the show interesting on a rewatch. I saw it 2 times and I'm done with it. Deal with that.

for me it's ash vs evil dead, when we ignore the fluff, and focus on the message.
S3 was so gay that it makes 2 look great.
But season 3 is the one with Sarah Gadon.
>autistically watching this over and over again
Anybody else do this?
hell fricking ya i do brother
