Based in terms of animation, all the characters from Disney movies in one place, Goofy, Ludwig von Drake, sexy Daisy, Peg-Leg Pete, Phantom Blot and cameo of Daisy's nieces.
Cringe in the sense that they are all jerks and buttholes, Donald who gets punched too much, the baby turtle and his mother, HDL who sound like their uncle, Mickey gets too much light, everything is one-note and the humor is partly taken from Looney Tunes.
I liked this series, but I think it's too overrated.
Well, unfortunately, even the positive characters (protagonists) were buttholes and jerks, in the sense of a unique personality. As for the villains, not all of them, but most of them were great, only in stupid moments they get defeated by Mickey.

I probably forgot to say, the characters are flanderized, by that I mean the characters are one-of-a-kind.
I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say. Do you have any clips? The only one I could find is that one running gag where the movie characters nope the frick out of the club and completely stampede over Donald (which felt like basic slapstick, they weren’t deliberately targeting an innocent guy for shits and giggles).
>I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say.
I don't know how to explain in these words, but simply the characters behaved uniformly, that is, they were flanderized (Flanderization). >Do you have any clips?
I have downloaded almost all the episodes plus you have most of the House of Mouse episodes on YouTube on this channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyuBZ81cH-M&t=1s
>where the movie characters nope the frick out of the club and completely stampede over Donald
That's fine, I was thinking more about how Donald was dropped and Mickey was favored which is an idyllic copy of Jones' rivalry between Daffy and Bugs, in which Bugs always beats Daffy. Also, not to mention the problem when Donald was a ham and no one took him seriously and not to mention the baby turtle that kept causing trouble. Those are the problems I don't like about House of Mouse. I love that series, but like I said before, it's way overrated, considering the many mistakes they've made.
Oh yeah I know about flanderization, to be fair it’s probably because its easier to show the club guests in their pre character arc forms, like Timon and pumbaa before they helped simba rescue the pride lands. Or rapunzels super long blonde hair causing issues with foot traffic. Just easy joke fodder about the Disney mythology that doesn’t require spoiling their endinfmg, y’know? I don’t think the writers were writing these characters as exaggerated because of a dislike of (whatever movie). >Donald was a ham and no one took him seriously
god bless that lack of context

Of course, they couldn't pay attention to every character in every episode, which is fine, but they could have slightly improved certain characterizations of the characters who appear more often. Donald Duck was a jerk and he gets what he deserves, but then again they shouldn't have jerked him so much and given Mickey too much light. Also, I don't like some of the characters in that series. But again, of course I love this series and I agree with you and I'm glad we found common ground.
I have one more thing to add. Yes, not all Disney characters were present in the House of Mouse. I know that only Tantor the elephant from Tarzan is the only character from a Tarzan movie that was in the House of Mouse and only appeared once.

To each their own I guess. I just found the new shorts pretty bland overall and failing to recapture the charm of the old ones. Whenever they played I wanted them to be over for the next club segment to start.
I love House of Mouse like you wouldn't believe. I don't know why people say Paul Rudish's shorts are the first time since the 30s he's had personality when this show exists.

Mickey Mouse had his own personalities during the 1940s era, but by then he had already started to be a mascot, so he was shown less than Donald and Goofy. Not to mention the comics where Mickey has a much bigger role than the cartoons, but I doubt anyone read those comics, especially the comics by Floyd Gottfredson. House of Mouse is just like a sequel with a crossover after Mickey Mouse Works (most of the shorts featured in House of Mouse were taken from Mickey Mouse Works) and that Mickey has a bigger role, only in House of Mouse he was the main star without a flaw. Paul Rudish Mickey, despite some mistakes, turned out much better.
House of Mouse is one of the better Mickey Mouse & Friends things. Disney naturally wants it to not exist though because they hate fun.
Binge
I thought it was crased?

Outside of the villains which characters are you talking about?

Gigabased outside the Cabs episode which is so off-character and bad it's almost intentional
Based liked it allot as a kid and like see all the Disney characters interact
Based when it's about Mickey and co. running the club and interacting with all the guests from other Disney productions.
Cringe when they fill in time with the boring new short films (old ones are ok but they're still obviously there to fill time).
I actually preferred the new shorts over the old ones, partly because they were, you know, actually new.
To each their own I guess. I just found the new shorts pretty bland overall and failing to recapture the charm of the old ones. Whenever they played I wanted them to be over for the next club segment to start.
In-between
Didn't fans of the classics hate it back then
Just checked Disney+ and it's not there. Why's that?
Disney’s 2000s TV shows are kind of a weird spot
So you mean only Gen A garbage stays
Unironically one of the best Mickey Mouse cartoons of all time. But Disney hate it.
Unfathomably based.

Half my childhood was some dumb flash game where you managed the club and could customize it and shit.
It's a ripoff of the Muppet Show so its great
Cringe. Mickey MouseWorks was better as it sold itself on the shorts themselves and not a lame crossover gimmick.
You're not the fricking House of Mouse spammer who makes 20 threads a week lamenting about how it's not on Disney+, are you?
Fun show.
