Was this really always going to be the case?

Unlikely. If they had thought of it at the beginning, they couldn't have resisted telling the audience.

No, you actually anon almost all of the Batman Beyond retcons in JLU were actually just stolen from a japanese show called Harry Potter and the fricking wizard

No it's pretty clear that the BB staff refused to go along with it and Timm had to retcon it into BB with JLU using a writer who had nothing to do with the creation of BB.

It was not, it came from them realizing how they gave him black hair without realizing he has two redheaded parents, and thought two redheads couldn't have a kid with jet black hair.
This isn't even accurate science either.
Now the seeds for this idea were EARLY in the run, allegedly, before it ended on Kids WB, but not from the beginning. They had the idea but not the how, it was at one time going to be Catwoman who cloned Terry and made herself her own incest sex son Bruce clone.

Probably. If you notice, both Terry and his brother have black hair, which doesn't match either parent. Since both of them have black hair, it can be assumed Terry wasn't just dyeing his hair.

Two redheads couldn't have TWO kids with jet black hair, you mean.
I don't know, fricking up one guy's hair is one thing, but fricking up two people with the same issue? Ehh.

It just comes across as making a mountain out of a molehill. When most cartoon families are designed I doubt so much thought is put into that as far as hair color.

          Family Guy doesn't count, it's a comedy, a half-assed one where there's barely a "canon" to follow.

i have never watched this show but this is the most famous image from it can someone explain

Cadmus (mostly just Waller) over the years believes Batman is so utterly important to the survival of Gotham (and probably mankind as a whole), that when Bruce starts getting old, Waller gets weirdly obsessed with him and starts a project to make a whole new Batman, a 1:1 copy. Same origin story, same genetics, same money, same all of it. The start of this was to find some nobody, give him a "flu shot" that replaces the DNA in his cum to Bruce's. TL;DR: his oldest son becomes the new Batman.

That's just a random cartoon family, the point is if you asked anyone, ever, to draw a cartoon family, the hairs are going to be a random assortment of hair colors, especially if it's a white family.

Could’ve explained that their mom dyed her hair.

Women's hair color comes in a bottle.

Bruce Wayne's effort and training are meaningless, because he is now simply a genetically superior specimen. Naturally this leads Cadmus to clone him, so they can have another Batman, because that's what you do.

Or at least that's what Waller believes, that somehow Bruce's DNA and origin story are 99% of what made him into Batman and being successful as him.

      >Batman gets older
      >Waller decides Batman is too important to die
      >Decides to secretly clone him using a bloody cum rag and science
      >Insert Bruce Wayne's DNA into some guy through vax, forceably cuckolding him
      >Plan on killing the Dad through the Phantasm
      >Phantasm realizes this is fricked and quits
      >Dad gets murdered by a crackhead later anyways
So Terry is a Batman clone, which implies that Batman's abilities derive from some superhuman genetics and not through sheer determination.
This is gay and cringe, so it had to be shoved into JLU for no reason.

Not really no, the point is she did her best to recreate the circumstances of Batman. Not that he's a secret metahuman or anything like that, just that she desperately wanted to try and remake Batman as he was. And the ultimate point was that Terry wasn't a clone of Bruce. The shitty part is that it's a convoluted plot to get us back to a resolution we had 10 years prior.

Or he's just a fit dude wearing a nanotech Batman suit while Bruce talks in his ear.

They didn't get his sperm, they got his blood, extracted his DNA from that, and through science bullshit, found a way to inject something into Terry's dad that would produce Bat-Milk.
