Mage beats warrior, warrior beats rogue, rogue beats mage.

Actually it is implied it takes place thousands of years in the future.

Genie says he hasn't seen the world in ten thousand years, and also makes impressions of 20th century actors and comedians.

He told Jafar that genies were more powerful than sorcerors, so the dumbass wished to become a genie.

        >How did Aladdin beat jafar?

Tricked him into wishing himself to be a genie, thereby trapping himself in a lamp, which Aladdin then dumps in the desert.

Oh yeah! Outwitted by a streetrat. What a great movie.

So is slavery the default state of genies?
Why wouldn't the wish have made him a free genie

I know there was already a Return of Jafar movie, but it would have been cool if it had been set 10,000 years in the future, which is how long they say it'll be until the Cave of Wonders appears again. Sci-fi Aladdin could be fun.

The way I remember Jafar kept most of his cunning to himself not revealing his power level. It wasnt until the sultan was thinking of marrying off his kid then that's when he went crazy.

He wished to become powerful, not intelligent. You can have all the power in the world and it doesn't matter if you don't know how to properly apply it.

I’ll explain again, he was tricked because Aladdin told him that although he was powerful the genie was more powerful and that if he could grant those powers he could also take them away as easily. Jafar who wanted as much power as possible realized this and wanted to surpass the wish granting genie as himself but did not realize the price of being one, phenomenal cosmic power itty bitty living space. He lost because of his own arrogance and ego
