Maybe the writers will pull their shit together and kill Nancy instead after the cliffhanger but I really fricking doubt it.

Yeah, could have been done better even if she lived (which she shouldn't have). You just have to assume it's dream logic and the music was weakening his powers over her mind, the stuff happening wasn't physically happening in a realistic sense.
They should've killed her. Nothing against Max's character, I think she was excellent plot development, but she would've been even better plot development if the show took a really dark and serious turn by just brutally killing one of the main characters. It would've made shit real. It would've showed us that they have the balls to kill off main characters, and now the stakes are actually high. Instead we just got more plot armor and though I enjoyed the rest of the season, I didn't care as much as I could've because I knew everybody was gonna be fine.
reminder that sadie hated this so much that the writers reduced their relationship in season 3 to hand holding scenes only. not ONCE do they kiss after this or show affection. in season 4 theyre broken up, as if they were ever together tho amirite
