McFarlane is a crypto garden gnome pedophile who has no children, but thinks he can lecture parents on vaccination and uses his money to support bills that remove religious and philosophical exemptions for kids to goto school. Family guy poisoned the innocence of millions of children in America with shoehorned non funny sexual 'jokes'. Fuck this garden gnome.

'top of the mornin my fellow leprechauns. I totally am not a beady eyes garden gnome! Ummm... Beer!

The Mocklans are my favorite characters. The actual lesson of their society is anti-chud.

I'm sad to see how they're going to write Norm out of the show. Not that he had a huge role, but still.

I like it because it has a certain timing/pacing that feels like an old show. makes it very comfy. It needs to bring some of the comedy back though tbh.

It's bad and soi and always was. Seth is a demented globo mutt mutant who spits on the nuclear family and belittles any and all morality for the sake of ~~*comedy" and wishes his viewers to demean and cheapen themselves the same.
Such is the sad and disgusting state of our declining societies.

    Otherwise.

Farlane directed many Episodes in Season 3 and therefore appeared with less screentime due to formers seasons. I guess if we get a Season 4 - and more - he could get promoted to Admiral and merely focusing on directing.
And even if not, the last Episode could also function as a good end for the series.

It's fine, half boring episodes and half good. Or maybe it's like 6 boring and 4 good.

        They're 1 hour 20 minutes each though.

Im not expecting a season 4 and don't really care either.

I watched both and The Orville was better than the material that it was parodying, which isn't a high bar to set. The Orville is like a YTP of Family Guy while Star Trek is Family Guy, both are shit.

This Family Guy YTP is funny:

The only issue with starting on the show is that the first half of S1 was filled with that fucking awkward humour which makes you think the entire show is going to be like that. When it focuses more on being serious it ends up being the best modern Trek show around.

        Anonymous

S3 is objectively the worst season despite ditching the humor.

          Anonymous

Biggest issue is the Kaylon being a constant threat yet they never do anything. Vessels literally warp right up to planets and they never address how that is dealt with. The Kaylon can just warp 100 ships to Earth and destroy it before the union can respond.

            Anonymous

Kaylon don't attempt any mass invasions again because of all the alliances that are formed from the first attack, I think the Krill are supposed to have the strongest fleet out of all of them which is their largest deterrent.

if you want to watch Star Trek then watch fucking Star Trek gays

That's fair enough anon, I know this is a generic cop-out response but it DOES get better.

I think pretty much with any show you watch you should ride out the first season and decide from there if you want to continue.

Honestly S3 took it to a whole new level I'm really impressed. I know some of the chud bait is going to turn some people off it, but that's such a small part of the overall show.

        Spoiler for two episodes

        >In S2 one of the crewmate Gordon finds a phone from 2015 and reproduces the owner's life using their version of the holodeck and all the info she had on her phone
        >Ends up falling in love with her, but she is long dead and he can't change that
        >Fast forward to a later episode Gordon accidentally gets sent back in time to 2015
        >He leaves a distress signal for crew on the Orville to come and get him
        >They make a mistake with the time travelling and end up finding him in 2025
        >He makes a life for himself and finds the girl he was in love with, then gets together / starts a family with her (he waited 3 years in isolation after getting sent back in time and couldn't deal with it anymore)
        >Because he's really fucking up the timeline and he's refusing to go back to the ship they have no choice but to go back to 2015 (after figuring out how) and rescue him much earlier before he does any of this, in effect wiping out his 2025 life / family from existence
        >WebM is his last scene with his family

I wasn't impressed with S3's writing at all.
Clearly the production values got an upgrade but in service of what?
The chud episode is good (and I couldn't stand the trial episode that foreran it). The penultimate episode is ok but would honestly be better with less pew pew pew and a tighter runtime.
Otherwise it was pretty par for the other season's course.
