They should have made the voice evil. That movie has absolutely nothing going on. Arendelle should have also been destoyed and show being rebuilt at the end. Elsa getting a positive payoff for abandoning everything for a weird voice should have been good. What kind of message is that? Frozen 2 is such a fricking mess.
I think Elsa kinda had the least character assassination in that movie actually. They demoted Anna from protagonist and made her too serious and almost like Elsa’s nagging mom. Kristoff got turned into a gay simp with no screentime. All they did with Elsa was just show that she has the same character flaws as before

I do like that Anxiety wasn't exactly portrayed as being wrong in her ideas, just overzealous and myopic in her approach. Obviously we all saw the "all the emotions learn to co-exist to make Riley a better person" thing coming from a mile away, but I'm a sucker for any story that portrays Joy's brand of forced positivity as a bad thing.
I just saw it. I agree with OP on this being better than the other sequels but that isn't an accomplishment. I really don't get it. So do these emotions just puppet her or not? Sometimes it feels like they can't but then they don't.
Also why was the police trying to lock up the main emotions in this just because anxiety told them?
Also why is boredom an emotion introduced so late? Kids as young as 4 can be bored or embarrassed
