I feel it wasn't true to eren, and I feel like the entire conflict was sort of handwaved away. I can go into more detail but that's pretty much it.
I loved R2S, Marley, and some of the WFP arc. It just felt perfectly nihilistic to me, it scratched that it. Then it undercut my love of it with the both happy and pointless ending/final pages. It un-validated my attachment to it, like a slight of hand.

As shown in the post death flashback with arimin, he planned the whole thing from the start, so him dying by the hands of his friends will make whats left of the population feel indebted to them for "saving" the world. But why take the chance for the mercy of the enemies whose life and families just got destroyed by the titans and will most likely harbor resentment and now CAN EASILY genocide the eldrians because they dont have the titan powers anymore? Isayama stops short on answering why, but it can be inferred from previous chapters that Eren couldn't handle the fact the real world wasn't like the fantasy he built up in his head from reading books. He thought the world was this boundless wonderland but instead he discovered it's just full of more shitty people and shitty politics, so he wanted to stamp it all out and wipe the slate clean.

To be honest this is one of the few manga protagonists whose actions make sense. He's a fricked up child who's been too busy with other shit, and in that moment it catches up to him that the one dream and fantasy he's ever had will never amount to anything. Until the very very end it is a well written series that doesn't engage in many bullshit shonen tropes.
Genuinely good characters, twists, and surprises and lots of kino animation in anime. It sets up mysteries and generally pays them off, then it will flip the script and the situation will change and the scope of the series grows.
The finale is a huge smudge on what was a really great series.

The paths chapters in "the final season, part 2, final part 1" were absolute perfection.
Only vaguely interesting in the first two seasons. 99% of nips can't write anything beyond what reads like middle school fanfiction. Of those who do have some semblance of talent, it's still likely they can't write an ending to save their life. There's better shit out there than baby's first anime/manga.

This series was so fricking disappointing.
Season 2 shows that the steam they create burns, in Season 3 Armin gets melted by Bertholdt outputting (an albeit high amount of) steam. Then the natural temperature inside of the fricking thing must be blazing hot if they can output such a high level of heat. In the final battle Mikasa casually breaks into Eren's titan's Colossal mouth with no issue.

I liked the first two seasons. I liked the third less, but I went on to read the manga before the fourth came out. I hated the ending. It sort of ended me actively watching anime. Not by itself, but more of a "final straw" to the problems I have with animated shows in general. I mainly liked AOT because it seemed different.
Floch was even more based than Erwin.
Erwin just used the scouts to further his dad's dream, he didn't actually care about humanity. Floch wanted to ensure the future of his race.
Also, people call Floch le ebil nazi but Erwin literally unleased a Titan war in civilian territory with untold casualties and it all turned out to be worthless. He also advocated human torture of political enemies but he seems to get a pass while Floch is demonized.

It was clear Eren was lying since the table scene where he said he hated Mikasa. The readers knew since that time that the way Eren was acting wasn't the real him. Isayama didn't deceive anyone.

As shown in the post death flashback with arimin, he planned the whole thing from the start, so him dying by the hands of his friends will make whats left of the population feel indebted to them for "saving" the world. But why take the chance for the mercy of the enemies whose life and families just got destroyed by the titans and will most likely harbor resentment and now CAN EASILY genocide the eldrians because they dont have the titan powers anymore? He already at 80%. Why not finish the job UNLESS that was the original plan of the mangaka till his editor stepped in and forced him to change it

Until the very very end it is a well written series that doesn't engage in many bullshit shonen tropes.
Genuinely good characters, twists, and surprises and lots of kino animation in anime. It sets up mysteries and generally pays them off, then it will flip the script and the situation will change and the scope of the series grows.
The finale is a huge smudge on what was a really great series.

Season 2 shows that the steam they create burns, in Season 3 Armin gets melted by Bertholdt outputting (an albeit high amount of) steam. Then the natural temperature inside of the fricking thing must be blazing hot if they can output such a high level of heat. In the final battle Mikasa casually breaks into Eren's titan's Colossal mouth with no issue.

I liked the first two seasons. I liked the third less, but I went on to read the manga before the fourth came out. I hated the ending. It sort of ended me actively watching anime. Not by itself, but more of a "final straw" to the problems I have with animated shows in general. I mainly liked AOT because it seemed different.
The only character who had a proper character arc and fought for what he believed in.
