He's an unfunny c**t who never learned that music and comedy never mix, and his "schtick" lately is to take the piss out of people who still believe in something instead of being soulless, cynical homosexuals.
>tl;dr: Bo Burnham never had one solid conviction about anything in his pathetic fricking life.
You've just posited that you have a solid conviction that having a solid conviction about anything is meritless and makes you inflexible. Nice contradiction homosexual.
>lately is to take the piss out of people who still believe in something instead of being soulless
literally the opposite. you can say he fails at being deep but his style has clearly been more (excuse the hipsterspeech) post-ironic than ironic for years at this point.
Post ironic is still irony you dumb fricking homosexual. Post irony simply means that yiu are so drenched in the stench of irony that people can no longer find the lines that separates genuine action from ironic action. Which resulted in...... ironic mannerisms and speech.
you would call me a nahdzi and i like his music. you're a fragile future suicide statistic apart of a demographic that the majority of the youth hate. i would rather encourage your lifestyle, because like a fricking snowball you will continue to spiral further out of control until it avalanches, and all you can do is infight with the other future suicides. i endorse your moronic behavior;go cut your penis moron.
oh nononononono anon don't destroy that 12 year old emo kids distorted perception of the world or they will cut themselves, and od on a plethora of moronic synthetic drugs while it shrieks on discord to attempt to coordinate a campaign to somehow attack you during their circlejerk online sessions.
I had a friend who loved Bo. He was his guy. Then I told him the israelites are responsible for the worlds problems and he unfriended me. Still stings a bit ngl.
I’d love to believe he’s redpilled but considering he married an old roastie it probably just means age differences that women don’t like. Especially considering the second half of that rant is an anti white tirade
>pedophilia corporate elite
Except it's not that. It's simply the elite. Adding the qualifier of corporate completely ruins his point and makes his true intentions clear. Funny enough it is corporate types who are the least involved in pedo rings. That isn't to say no involvement, just the representation is more politicians, and people involved in entertainment.
I remember loving his first special back when it was released. He is obviously talented and his lyrics were great.
As he released his other specials i realized i just dont like his new stuff. There are great moments in them, but he is trying to hard to be carlin and be important comedy, and way too often that just means not being funny and even being depressing.
I dont watch comedy specials to be depressed. Sing and dance ya fukin monkey, or else get off the stage.
i've only seen his Inside special or w/e it was called. most of the songs were pretty entertaining both musically and lyrically, although i did think he was hamming up the "isolation" aspect far too much. did the normies really lose their minds to the man in quarantine?
also i was rather impressed with the production quality, assuming he did everything by himself
I refuse to watch Inside because I know how angry watching a millionaire whine about the pandemic making him "depressed" from inside his Hollywood mansion will make me
This homosexual has been world famous for writing funny songs since he was a teenager, he has literally never done a single day's labor in his adult life. I liked Eighth Grade, he's very talented and has earned his wealth, but the very least rich c**ts like this can do is just shut the frick up and be rich. I don't need some silver spoon song and dance b***hboy telling me how owning private property is literally theft from the inside of his palatial estate in his comedy special he made for his fricking Netflix deal.
>I don't need some silver spoon song and dance b***hboy telling me how owning private property is literally theft from the inside of his palatial estate in his comedy special he made for his fricking Netflix deal.
Right on

It's especially weird because he gets quite self-aware and self-critical of himself at points, and I think that stuff is genuine at least, but then he never extends that same self-awareness to the fact that the whole thing is still a performance for a netflix special and that he's actually just filmed this in his L.A. guest house while his girlfriend/wife waits for him in their real L.A. mansion
I'm amazed at how much he was able to do all by himself because the technical craft of it is insane, and I like quite a few of songs, but I was acutely aware of that selective self-awareness by the end. It just left a bad aftertaste
i wonder if he'll direct again, it was honestly very impressive how well Eighth Grade turned out, much respecto to him
What's even more funny is that "house" was just his storage room. That house is actually right next to his million dollar McMansion.
Even worse, it's a whole guest house with kitchen and bathroom. Imagine being wealthy enough tot have a second smaller house on your land.
It's especially weird because he gets quite self-aware and self-critical of himself at points, and I think that stuff is genuine at least, but then he never extends that same self-awareness to the fact that the whole thing is still a performance for a netflix special and that he's actually just filmed this in his L.A. guest house while his girlfriend/wife waits for him in their real L.A. mansion

He's one of those types that believes the message behind it is more important than the reality of it. In short, he's a hypocrite and not far off from being a propagandist. And like all current day comedians he took the easy road and got rewarded.
The worst thing a comedian can do these days is unironically believe that comedy is important. A comedian who is unaware that they're just a clown meant to make people laugh is a shit comedian. Even guys like Rogan and Burr who clearly care about the craft have no pretense of being anything other than dumbass clowns.
But any comedian who unironically uses the phrase "speak truth to power" before rattling off every DNC corporate approved talking point simply can't see the forest for the trees.
>He hits the laugh track because he said "what the frick"
C'mon Bo
>Mocking
The song's essential message is that although he wants to help and make a difference, he is entirely unable to use his influence and success to do anything beneficial for two reasons: one) he's a comedian and his skillset is ill equipped to address real problems. Two) He's a white man, and, according to him, white men are incapable of compassion or intelligence.
He delivers, through his typically cynical and sarcastic style of parodying himself holding righteous delusions of grandeur, a message that he can't do anything because he's just a comedian, and because he is also white and should be cowed and shamed into silence for his racial sins. This 'white silence' is an idea he references rather frequently in his work, we can only assume for popular appeal, because clearly he has no intention of upholding the notion himself. His mockery is hollow lipservice to his own hypocrisy, which he seems intently aware of, but doesn't care because he, like everybody else, is too entrenched in the anti white marxy ideology of progressive american politics.

Can you imagine for one second this song and dance b***h getting on youtube and saying "black men should shut up because they commit way too much murder and robbery to have any say in anything?"
He'd be deplatformed in a week. The hypocrisy and bigotry is incredible. Or rather, what's incredible is that nobody notices how unequal and one-sided it all is

I disagree with your interpretation
in "comedy" he clearly concludes that DESPITE his limited skillset and oh so cursed skincolor, he can still make a different in this world by being an entertainer
so imo he thinks whites can "have the stage" as long as they're being socially conscious clowns

I got the impression that like most people he has all these concerns and shit but has no idea what to do. Even with all his money he has no real power except the power to have a nice house. He knows that at the end of the day he’s a clown making money for the man and it’s a powerless feeling. So there is a certain level of bougie pretension since he doesn’t just enjoy his class status but there’s still something there that I think a lot of people can relate to, i.e. the lack of direction and not knowing how to live up to your own unrealistic standards.
perfectly emcapsualtes the zoomer mentality. they are literally incapable of showing a genuine emotion besides irony and contempt and anger. god forbid they have a good time once in a while without fear of being labeled """cringe""" for enjoying themselves.
Late Zoomers would be college age. Although the whole generation thing is very vague and was started by marketing companies as a way to target demographics. Grouping them by common culture or events they experienced is probably better than a hard age.
I'm waiting for him to get Me Too'd. He's very talented, I liked Eighth Grade, but his fanbase has always primarily been underage girls and he's sliding right into that champagne socialist role that all the creepy dudes do to attract young pussy.
Talented and funny, and very smart. But unfortunately a zog pozzed good goy gay. He's trying really hard to be edgy, but he's 30 years late to the party. Shitting on whites, white men, and Christianity is old, and everybody and their dog is already singing that song.
If he really wanted to follow in Carlin's footsteps, he'll have to take on feminism, globalism, white racial replacement, open discrimination against whites, southerners, and heterosexuals, Black person worship, gay worship, etc. You know, the things that you're not allowed to say.
Dangerously based post. I grew up on carlin. I love carlin. My wife who has autism and can't into comedy loves carlin. Carlin challenged the easy points in a creative and funny way. He has some stuff I roll my eyes at. You're 100% correct previous poster is sadly misinformed.

Did you even watch his inside special? That's just not true
You need to be 18 to post here.
So leave then
What merit is there in having a solid conviction about anything? That just makes you inflexible
You've just posited that you have a solid conviction that having a solid conviction about anything is meritless and makes you inflexible. Nice contradiction homosexual.
No, you're just playing a linguistics game when you understood the underlying point, the only contradiction is in language, not concept.
>Not so, for I always kept my principle, which is this – to live and die the Vicar of Bray
>tl;dr: Bo Burnham never had one solid conviction about anything in his pathetic fricking life.
Confirmed for not watching anything of his. He mocks people with surface level convictions or phonies who hope on the latest bandwagon for clout.
>has an entire, unironic song about white male privilage.
nah I'm thinkin he's a gay.
The white make privilege song takes the piss out of self-flagellating white guys for being fake though.
>He mocks people with surface level convictions or phonies who hope on the latest bandwagon for clout
Bo is not clever enough to make fun of himself.

Eighth Grade was decent. That's all I can really say.
+1
He’s a crypto commie who married a feminist woman 15 years older than him. Pretty much the opposite of based.
Most of his literary influences while growing up were commies so no wonder he himself developed those beliefs
>who married a feminist woman 15 years older than him
why do americans do this and think it's a "virtue" to do?
I bet he had a huge crush on Jane Seymour growing up, she’s like the off brand version.
It's more of a euro thing actually
Look at the French president

What? Isn't he gay?
It weirds me out when he stands next to people. Guy is weirdly tall. I get slenderman vibes from him.
