Bob Iger is back at the head of Disney

Why is it so hard for Disney to replace the guy? He just want to retire.

If it continue like this they are just going to freeze him and put him right next to where they store Walt Disney.

    >let's replace our bad CEO with a worse CEO who is the unironic reason our company is in the shitty shape it's in!

Disney has been nothing but thriving under his direction.

the main reason Disney met an hard hit was COVID and and the closure of the parks.

        Don't gaslight, Disney shill.
Iger didn't leave until the end of 2021. The things that you can actually blame Chapek for are

He cut costs for the company, to the point where people were not enjoying the products and parks. There was a huge backlash.

Then he massively raised prices for the parks, and the Disney materials, to the point where people stopped purchasing tickets, and Disney/Marvel brand products.

He's a businessman, not a creative. It looked at the bottom line, but did so in a way that really hurt Disney branding.

        plus
        >park cuts/bad changes (even before he was promoted he was in charge of parks, so any bad changes on there is on him as much as Iger)
        >closing down Disney Stores
        >any firings to Disney he did in 2022

All the woke stuff you complain about was done by Iger and Chapek mostly inherited it and tried to even undo some of it. IT only made thigns worse, so you do'nt really have a point.

read this thread. The reason he was fired was because of how awfully he managed the themeaprk.

Genie+, Park reservations and cutting almost all live entertainment have been fucking terrible for the company.

Even the die hard Disney bloggers were going "you know what, you shouldn't come to disney world"

God I hope Genie+ gets abandoned quick, literally all anyone wants is the original fastpass system back.
I'm used to being able to visit Universal and just, GO to any ride I want. I haven't been to a Disney park since 2010 or something, but I really wanna visit the TRON coaster when it opens; I cannot imagine how difficult it will be at this point.

In case you do'nt know this, Disney's actual business is Theme parks and real estate. Their production studios are basically a glorified marketing department who also happens to make money on its own.

The theme parks absolutely print money normally, the problem is they also hoover it up the second there's a slight downturn. It's why Eisner had to cut back on huge ambitious projects suddenly, because they were at risk of bankrupting the company.

It's kinda sad in retrospect, Eisner did a load of good for Disney and saved the company but he's only remember for his park cutbacks and straight to video sequels at the end of his reign which he he felt forced to do as the company needed to survive. Arguably the only fuckup you can 100% blame on him is Disney's disaster of a response to CGI films taking over.

God damn chuds are full of cope. Bob Iger was considering running for president of USA under Democratic party. This isn't making things more chuddy and nobody gives a shit about that loser midget DeSantis.

I know subtlety fails you often as it does all your ilk, but someone being the leftiest left that ever got woke doesn't mean that they are so fanatical to the 'cause' or so stupid as to continue a failing path. The end of the line of the way woke is currently going is all your platforms abandoned by the wider audience and irrelevance. That's a bad thing if you are trying to long-term brainfuck a population. You aren't changing shit if they tuned out within a few years. Or put another way, Chapek started going too fast and too hard, boiling the frog, and they believe (whether right or not) clearly that Iger can right the ship at least enough that Disney doesn't end up with the MCU in exactly the same situation as Star Wars and the DCEU.

On top of being a mask off corporate greedbag that cut costs at the theme parks, his prior jobs at the company included running the home video division in the 90s and being responsible for both the Disney Vault concept and starting the Direct To Video Sequels initiative.
