Dolarhyde was unironically a better villain than any other Thomas Harris Villain

Dolarhyde was goated, but I always liked Mason Verger.

Michael Pitt's Verger was fan-fucking-tastic, was it ever figured out why they replaced him between seasons was he just that much of a prick on set?

I guess I can understand that, I'm probably just still seething about his exit from Boardwalk Empire.

    >OP's scene played so dramatically, music and acting included
    >It's just about this schizo showing off his tattooes.
Funniest scene of the movie to me

Maybe it's more horrific in the book?

Should I read the book anon? I really like Manhunter and the show, and enjoy certain parts of Red Dragon (mostly Fiennes and PSH).

red dragon and silence of the lambs are both great thriller novels and well worth reading even if you're very familiar with the films already.

Since the dude is roiding bodybuilder in the book the dragon looks like it's alive when he is flexing his back

          Noonan was the best.

Ralph Fiennes as Dolarhyde is the only good thing about Red Dragon, possibly better than Tom Noonan's Dolarhyde, although Manhunter is of course vastly superior.

I thought Norton was good, too. But the movie made me sad because Hopkins proved his take on Lector was just dracula and the Silence of the Lambs magic was a fluke.

            >Ralph Fiennes as Dolarhyde is the only good thing about Red Dragon
the score by Danny Elfman is great
